Randy and Wendi Pierce to be Showcased at Gospel Music Fan Fair

In the fall of 2013, Jason and Kelly, along with daughters, Amber and Autumn, led a survey trip to Guatemala. “During this time,” Jason recalls, “God began to prepare our hearts and inspire us to dream the impossible. We’ve been involved in various Global Mission Ministries throughout the years; however, providing for 60 children’s lives seemed truly impossible to me. The great thing is that God has already begun performing miracles! We have a building, a wonderful partnership with MANNA Worldwide, overseers, volunteers and a missionary family to help run this huge operation. We are beyond thrilled at the privilege of rescuing children and having the opportunity to care for them. We are helping develop these precious young lives for the glory of Christ. What a true honor this is for us.”
MANNA Worldwide has been caring for and feeding children over the last 14 years. The organization operates in 40 countries with 118 nutrition centers, medical clinics, and schools. They also currently operate 17 orphanages that care for children around the world. MANNA Worldwide has a consistent, proven track record for ministry and is committed to providing for the well being of more than 13,000 children every day. Bruce O’Neal, the founder and President of MANNA Worldwide remarks, “Partnering with The Nelons is a wonderful example of the body of Christ coming together to care for the less fortunate in the world. “During our trip to Guatemala,” Kelly shares, “we fell in love with the people of this country, especially the children. It moved me to tears to watch my girls play and share with these precious kids who just need to know they are loved. I told Jason at that very moment, that we just had to do more.”
The Guatemalan orphanage being built will be ready to house children on the first floor starting this summer. This partnership between The Nelons and MANNA Worldwide will be long-term, in an effort to sustain the orphanage. “With their years of experience and integrity in the field, MANNA is the perfect organization to partner with us in launching The Nelon Kid’s project at Hogar de Ninos de Mana (MANNA’s Children Home),” Jason states. “We will be sharing information about our work in Guatemala with our friends all across the country. We’d like all our friends to have the opportunity to be a part of this heart-moving work. We’ll be taking another trip to visit the Orphanage once we get up and running later in the year, and we would love to take a lot of our friends with us. We’ll be sharing more information about that trip in the weeks to come. Together, we can help so many kids that simply cannot help themselves.”

Gene McDonald Heads Up North
Gene is headed to Hillsdale, MI on Saturday, April 26th at the Gospel Barn at 7PM along with the Skyline Boys. It's always a fun time when those two get together.
After a great night with the Skyline Boys, Gene moves on the next morning, Sunday, April 27th to Taylor, MI at Heritage Free Will Baptist Church , 12670 Pardee Road - 11AM. You can call 313-802-2526 for more information about the service.
Finishing out the weekend Gene will be traveling to the great state of Ohio at the Living Hope Free Methodist Church, 1051 West Jackson, West Unity, OH at 6:30PM.

About Gene McDonald
Gene McDonald started his career with his family group singing tenor. He then sang tenor with Jack Campbell and the Ambassadors through his school years. “One day I woke up and my voice was a couple of octaves lower and I was a bass singer.” commented Gene about his low vocal abilities.
While at Arkansas State University, he studied under one of the leading choral directors in the nation, Al Skoog. He later went to Ben Speer School of Music.
In 1989, Gene began singing with the Plainsmen Quartet and toured with them until 1992. He later went on to sing and record hits with the Florida Boys, touring from 1998 to 2007. Gaither Productions invited Gene to join the Homecoming Family for his first taping in 1994. He currently still travels with the Homecoming Friends across the globe.
Gene has a great gift and one of the richest voices ever heard. Noted by Bill Gaither as the Dean of all Bass’, Gene is held at high esteem for being the best in the circuit. However, he is MORE than just the best Bass singer. He does have the most prominent Bass voice, but he is by far, one of the “best singers” to ever grace the stage. God has given this man a great gift, a great talent.
Rev. Zeke Hoskins Passes Away
He evangelized all across the country for 26 years as well as pastoring 4 churches. Rev. Hoskins also sang as well as preached and was strong in his bluegrass roots. The Gospel group, The Country Gospel Aires, was founded by Rev. Hoskins. He traveled with his sons Rick and Mike Hoskins around the nation.
Rev. Hoskins was truly the inspiration for the Hoskins Family we have on the Southern Gospel trails today. He put God and his faith above everything.
His Obituary follows:
HOSKINS, Rev. Zeke age 86 of Middletown passed away Fri. April 18, 2014. Zeke was a lifelong minister in various churches in the area. He spent his years preaching the gospel and enjoying music, boating, fishing, and hunting. He was also a former superintendent at Walnut Grove Country Club. He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah in 1998; one son Mike Hoskins; two daughters Vanessa Romine and Lolanda Chasteen; three grandchildren David Hoskins, Ricky Johnson, and Lonnie Johnson; two great grandchildren Shelby Lynn Hoskins and Lillian Hope Topping; one brother Ruey Hoskins; and two sisters Ruby Landrum and Mary Couch. He is survived by two sons Rick (Reva) Hoskins and John (Karen) Hoskins, two daughters Pamela Johnson and Patricia (Eric) Hansen, 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, one brother Hilery (Louise) Hoskins, and two sisters Wanda Mae Moore and Elsie (Coleman) Couch. Funeral services 11 AM Wed. April 23 at Victory Tabernacle, Franklin. Rev. Todd Willman officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The Hoskins Family is made up of Angie (Hoskins) Aldridge, Reva Hoskins, Abby Aldridge, Ricky Hoskins and Rick Smith.
The Hoskins Family’s first top 40 song, taken from the project of the same name, was a special one to their family. “Mission Of Love” was written by Angie (Hoskins) Aldridge for her grandfather, who was also her pastor. In fact Ricky, Reva and Angie’s ministry was solely committed to their home church until Reva’s father’s retirement from pastoral ministry. It was then that The Hoskins Family felt God called them to a different venture.
“Help Me Stand,” The Hoskins Family’s follow-up single to “Mission Of Love” proved to be their first top 20 hit, reassuring them that they were headed in the right direction. Within 1 1⁄2 years The Hoskins Family had their first top 5 hit with “Joyful Morning,” from their “Hope” project. This was followed by the top 10 hit “I Wouldn’t Trade One Minute Of It.”
“Safe Thus Far” just might be the definitive recording that all their others are compared to. The Daywind project contains songs from some of today’s premier writers and is definitely a “Must Have” album. The first release from this album proved to be their first #1 song. This album was nominated for six Dove Awards.
The Williamsons To Perform At The Great Passion Play
Darin Hebert, popular bass singer for The Williamsons, said, “We are humbled to be asked to participate at such a great event. Great things have been happening in Eureka Springs and The Williamsons are excited to be a part.”
Manager of the group, Donnie Williamson shared that in mid-December 2012 he received a call informing him that The Great Passion Play was going in to foreclosure on January 1. The Williamsons joined forces with The Gospel Station of Ada, Oklahoma and several business leaders and other concerned individuals in the Eureka Springs area and they raised $75,000.00 about three weeks. This was enough to satisfy creditors and hold off the foreclosure. 2013 proved to be the best season the park had seen in years. Attendance grew last season by at least 30% and even greater things are expected for 2014.
The park also plans to expose visitors to even more Gospel music in 2014 with their first major concert promotion on June 21 and 22. The Williamsons will be performing there again with other talented artist such at The Freemans, The Nelons, and Red Roots.

The Williamsons began sharing the Gospel through music in 1998 as The Homesteaders Quartet. The dream of Donnie Williamson was to form a group to sing classic Gospel music on a limited basis. What he wanted to do never occurred. From the group's onset their demand was overwhelming. Soon they were performing more than 100 dates a year. For the past several years The Williamsons have been in full time Christian ministry and entertainment and have traveled across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Their music has been in national charts and were they honored to be nominated to the Gospel Music Association for a Dove Award.
