The Duggars to Homeschool with Alpha Omega Publications

Rock Rapids, Iowa, Sept. 17, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ --
Alpha Omega Publications is excited to announce that the Duggar family from the TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting has chosen AOP as its choice for quality homeschool curriculum.

Now in its ninth season of production, 19 Kids and Counting
airs on Tuesdays at 9/8 Central on TLC. Throughout the upcoming season and beyond, Alpha Omega Publications is proud to support the Christian family in their commitment to homeschooling.

"For us, with our number of children that we have, we really felt like the best way that we could really direct our children's hearts toward God was with homeschooling," said Michelle Duggar. "As I have encouraged others to homeschool, they have come back and said it is the best thing they've done for their family."

Offering a variety of print and computer-based curriculum, as well as an accredited online academy for grades K-12, Alpha Omega Publications impressed the Duggars with its passion for homeschooling and tradition of excellence. Most importantly, however, the Duggars continue to use AOP curriculum because of its foundation in faith.

"Definitely, AOP complements our family's goals because they have our same values at heart," Michelle said. "It is about godly character and getting God's Word into their lives, and it is integrated all through the curriculum and materials."

In addition to AOP's Christian worldview, Michelle is especially excited about the automatic grading features in AOP's computer-based curriculum.

"The wonderful thing is it keeps all of their scores," she said. "That will save lots of time...lots of time!"

CATHEDRALS FAMILY REUNION LIVE Recordings Top the Week’s Sales Charts

Strong Street Week for CD and DVD Honoring the Legacy
of Legendary Quartet
NASHVILLE, Tenn.—September 17th, 2014--The all-new Cathedrals Family Reunion, Past Members Reunite LIVE in Concert video debuted at #1 on this past week’s Christian Music Video chart and at #2 on the Billboard Music Video chart according to Nielsen SoundScan.  The audio version of the recordingtopped the Southern Gospel chart and landed at #25 on the Contemporary Christian chart.
Released by Gaither Music Group and Innovative Management and Consulting, LLC (IMC), the recordings capture the historical concerts that took place on November 8th and 9th, 2013, in Fort Worth, Texas, at theMacGorman Performing Arts Center where five former members of the legendary Cathedrals combined voices to celebrate the group’s legacy and pay honor to its founders Glen Payne and George Younce.
The two-day event featured performances by tenor Ernie Haase and his GRAMMY®-nominated quartet Ernie Haase & Signature Sound; baritone Scott Fowler and Legacy Five (a group he co-founded after The Cathedrals retired); lead vocalist and piano player Gerald Wolfe and Greater Vision (the heralded trio he formed upon leaving the group); beloved baritone and bass player Mark Trammel and The Mark Trammel Quartet; and tenor Danny Funderburk, now a popular solo artist and household name among gospel music lovers.  The recordings, an encouraging walk down memory lane, are a tribute to group members Payne and Younce, two patriarchs and mentors who were an inspiration to countless singers for many decades.
The excitement about the recordings and the overwhelming response to the initial concerts in Texas has resulted in a national tour in six select markets organized by IMC in association with Showcase Management.  The tour will start this November in Akron, Ohio, the birthplace of the original Cathedral Quartet where it all began.
Produced by award-winning producer/songwriter Wayne Haun, the Cathedrals Family Reunion, Past Members Reunite LIVE in Concert CD contains classic hits such as “Wedding Music,” “Yesterday,” “Somebody Touched Me,” “Step into the Water,” “Oh, What a Savior,” “Champion of Love,” “We Shall See Jesus” and more.  The companion DVD, produced by IMC’s Landon Beene, contains 17 songs including additions “Oh, Come Along,” “We Shall Be Caught Up,” “Search Me O God” and more.
The new CD and DVD are part of a tv special airing this fall on Dish TV, DirecTV, AT&T Uverse, GaitherTV, TBN, RFD, FamilyNet, CTN, GMTN, Guardian, Liberty, TCT and TLN.  It will air in Canada on Vision TV, CTS, The Miracle Channel and Hope TV; and the projects are featured in the current HOMECOMING Magazine.
The releases are distributed by Capitol Christian Distribution and are available at retail and digital outlets worldwide including iTunes, Amazon and www.gaither.com.  For more information on the event and/or to purchase tickets or product, please visit www.CathedralsFamilyReunion.com.

Aid for Pastors Suffering From Lack of Pastoral Care

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Georgia, Sept. 15, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- When pastors fail, when they're hurting, who do they turn to? Most feel that they can't go to anyone for fear of what may be said in their congregation. They silently suffer because they are afraid of the consequences of telling others what is really going on with them. They don't tell their spouses for fear of what it will do to their family. They don't tell professionals because they feel like they're supposed to rely on God alone.

"Pause For Pastors: Finding Still Waters in the Storm of Ministry" is filled with stories that just might help a pastor and his family smile when they hear the word "church." Stories that just might help a pastor and his family pursue help when the weight they call "church" is too heavy to carry alone. Stories of honesty--told by Maxwell and many others--that offer a little bit of peace in the storms of pastoral life.

This book is medicine. It needs to be in the hands of every pastor.

"The wisdom in these pages may save a life, or even a congregation." -- Nate Larkin, Founder of the Samson Society and author of "Samson and the Pirate Monks: Calling Men to Authentic Brotherhood"

"I pray the words of this book will flow like cold water on your soul to refresh and inspire you. You will receive new strength." -- J. Lee Grady, former editor Charisma Magazine, Director of The Mordecai Project

"I wish someone had written a book like this when I was a younger spiritual leader. I needed it more than I knew; I need it now. Thanks Chris for another perfect reason to Pause." -- Dr. Doug Beacham, General Superintendent International Pentecostal Holiness Church

Chris Maxwell is the Spiritual Life Director at Emmanuel College and has served in pastoral ministry for thirty years. He has written more than a thousand articles for publications including Charisma, Leadership Journal, Pentecostal Evangel, Enrichment, LIVE, Christian Retailing, Ministry Today and The Orlando Sentinel. Chris is the author of five previous books.
