HOMEWOOD, Ill. – Rod Burton, a rising talent in Southern Gospel music, has been added to the Sky Angel Showcase Brunch. The brunch will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2009 during this year’s National Quartet Convention in Louisville, Kentucky at the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center.
Rod will be appearing along with southern gospel artists Legacy Five, Kim Hopper, Kenny Bishop, and The Nelons.
“I believe strongly in the vision of Sky Angel Faith and Family Television,” Rod says, “and so I could not be happier or more honored to further my affiliation with them by appearing at their showcase.”
The showcase brunch takes place at the West Crowne Plaza Hotel, 830 Phillips Lane in Louisville, right across from the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center where the National Quartet Convention is held. Tickets are $5.00 each and can be purchased at the Sky Angel booth at during the National Quartet Convention.
Rod Burton recently partnered with the Rick Hendrix Company for the release of his new single. The new single – titled “Take a Stand” – has a message that is specific for the time that the nation and world is in today.
“Take a Stand” was written by Bobby Carter and is the follow-up to Rod’s last single, the fan-favorite and Top 40 hit “That’s How a Miracle Feels.” Both songs are featured on Rod’s last album Walking In the Light.
“Take a Stand” has been a regular fixture on the GospelMusicTimes.com Top 100 Fan Chart. This week – the song is sitting at #29.
