Beyond The Ashes Welcomes New Baritone Singer, Kellan Monroe

Nashville, TN (Sept. 24, 2010) – Beyond The Ashes (BTA) is pleased to welcome new baritone singer, Kellan Monroe to the trio. Monroe has been on the road with the group for about a month in a trial capacity. Anthony Facello, the group’s ministry leader and tenor singer, announced the decision for him to join the group, officially, just before NQC last week.

Monroe is from Easley, South Carolina, but looks forward to making Nashville, TN his new home in the coming weeks. This young man, of only 20 years of age, already has a strong resume in Christian music. He is not only a talented singer, but also, an accomplished instrumentalist, with the ability to play piano, bass guitar, and acoustic guitar, to name just a few. Monroe shared, "I am excited of be a part of BTA. God is allowing me to live out my dream with guys whose hearts are truly for the church and its people.”

He had the rare opportunity to live out that dream, during his first official week, on the National Quartet Convention’s main stage. The group was in an artist showcase earlier that day, and because of their outstanding musical ability and heart for ministry, they were invited to sing center stage that evening to the entire crowd at the Kentucky Fair & Expo’s Freedom Hall, in Louisville.

Facello expressed, “When I knew we had to fill our baritone position, I knew we needed to take our time and be careful not to just look for the next good singer. We wanted to find someone who shared our heart and vision for ministry to the church, and to those needing to hear the hope of Christ. When we met Kellan, we felt that calling from Him immediately. To add to that, he is so multi-talented. We are all constantly in awe of the ways God is working in this ministry. Lead singer, Casey Rivers, myself, and the rest of our ministry team are so thrilled to welcome Kellan to the group.”

The group’s current single, “Ready For The Ride,” has driven up the Gospel music charts all across the country. They are heading into the studio in early October to record an album of favorites. The new recording will be co-produced by Nashville producer, Donna Beauvais, along with Facello.
