Leipers Fork Bluegrass to Perform in IBMA Showcase 9/29
{EHA-Nashville, TN} Wednesday, September 29 marks the day Leipers Fork Bluegrass of Columbia, TN is slated to appear in the popular International Bluegrass Music Association showcase. The group will perform at 6:00 pm. at the Nashville Renaissance Convention Center room 108. Leipers Fork Bluegrass recently visited EHA-Nashville offices on Music Row and signed a booking contract with Evie Hawkins. The popular group consists of five musicians who carry off the Bluegrass tradition with smooth four-part harmony and their sought-after acoustic sound. Leipers Fork Bluegrass released their first all Gospel CD entitled Rough Side of the Mountain in 2007, and the second CD, entitled My Ole Susabell, was released March 2008. Third and fourth CDs, Sign of the Times and Rise and Walk were released April of 2010. The group recently signed a recording contract with Homeland Entertainment Group and will soon have a new CD and DVD project distributed nationally through the company, as well as a Homeland Gospel cruise for the year of 2011. They are also slated to perform in an IBMA showcase in Nashville this month. The group’s, “The Farmer Song,” from their latest CD, was chosen to be aired at Six Flags Theme Parks throughout the US and Canada and will reach over 25 million listeners.
The group was organized in 2005 by Buddy Jones of Columbia, TN. Latest edition to the group is fiddle player, Zeke Dawson, who has graced the stage of the Grand Ole Opry for a number of years and performed and traveled with such artists as The Stoneman Family, Ray Price, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, and many more. The group has committed to uplifting their talents to the honor and glory of God and hope to bring a blessing to all those who hear their music.
