Elijah School of Performance June 29-July 2

Plans are under-way for the fourth annual Elijah School of Performance to be held at Grace Church of the Nazarene in Nashville for June 29- July 2. Allison Durham Speer, founder of the Elijah School of Performance, is committed to teach musicians how to be servant leaders in the areas of worship leading, music delivery, business management and scheduling. The mission of the school is to make ministers out of performers.
The four day conference will include hands on performance critiques, and instruction by Allison. The hands on performance training will give artists tools to create a personal identity as well as develop various communication techniques. In addition to the hands on performance training, there will be seminars taught by Allison and other respected industry professionals. Topics include: audio technology, establishing/maintaining 501-C ministry, professionalism, booking and a few surprises for this year’s conference. The overall goal of the school is to teach musicians how to execute a ministry of integrity with the principles of holiness, musical excellence and servant-hood.
Allison and Brian Speer are pleased to announce a reduction in cost for this year. Allison explains: "Brian and I started discussing the school and realized that with the cost of gas and travel, the price where it was could make it prohibitive to some people that might want to come. Lowering the cost is our way of offering this curriculum to folks that might not have been able to afford it otherwise. We understand that many things must come before a music ministry development conference, however we hope that you will take advantage of this unique opportunity and invest in yourself, giving your ministry an unshakable foundation." The conference includes instruction as well as breakfast and lunch for each day.
At the end of the course, students should be able to properly plan and execute musical packages of varying lengths to communicate the gospel in song in the most professional and spirit filled manner. Elijah School of Performance is for those who have an active music ministry or feel the Lord’s leading in that direction.
