Sonya Issacs Yeary Garners IBMA Female Vocalist Nomination



Nashville, TN (August 16, 2013) On August 15, 2013, Multi-award winning singer and songwriter Sonya Isaacs Yeary garnered the nomination for "Female Vocalist of the Year" at the 24th Annual International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards that will be held on September 26 in Raleigh, NC.
Sonya Isaacs Yeary expressed her gratitude for this nomination saying, “Having grown up with such admiration and respect for bluegrass music, I feel extremely honored to be nominated again for Female Vocalist of the Year in the 2013 IBMA Awards. I love bluegrass music and am grateful to be considered among such talented women.”
This award is nominated by the members of the IBMA for the outstanding female vocalist based on recorded and in-person performances. The award recognizes the artist.
Sonya Isaacs Yeary travels and performs with her family group, The Isaacs, and also spends time co-writing many hit songs with her husband Jimmy Yeary and her sister Becky Isaacs Bowman. She and her husband are also raising a wonderful 2 year old son, Ayden Yeary.

About The Isaacs
The Isaacs, a multi-award winning family group who began singing 30 years ago, are based out of Nashville, TN . The vocalists are Lily Isaacs, Ben Isaacs, Sonya Isaacs Yeary and Rebecca Isaacs Bowman. Playing their own acoustic instruments and joined by other band members, The Isaacs have a unique style that blends tight, family harmony with contemporary acoustic instrumentation that appeals to a variety of audiences. Their musical influences emerge from all genres of music including bluegrass, rhythm and blues, folk, and country, contemporary acoustic and southern gospel. They perform frequently at the Grand Ole Opry, are active members on the Gaither Homecoming Videos and Concert Series and travel throughout the year performing internationally. They have performed the National Anthem for many sporting events, including a Cincinnati Bengal's football game, several Nashville Predators Hockey games, an Astros/ Braves pre-season baseball game as well as various political gatherings. They also received a standing ovation for their patriotic performance at Carnegie Hall.
