AMERICAN IDOL'S SCOTT MACINTYRE RELEASES CHRISTMAS IN PARIS

Project Mixes Christmas Classics With New Hits, Available Now
Nashville, TN – Just in time for trimming the tree and enjoying Thanksgiving dinner, Scott MacIntyre (American Idol Season 8) has released his very first full-length Christmas project, Christmas In Paris. The release is now available and Scott is excited for everyone to hear the music. "Christmas is my favorite time of the year," says Scott. "Sometimes I find myself humming Christmas carols all year round."

The twelve track release features holiday classics alongside two new Christmas compositions and serves as a perfect soundtrack to the holidays performed by one of America's favorite talents. Scott comments: "Being blind, I experience Christmas in a very unique way. Growing up, the sounds and smells are what I remember most… I loved waking up to the smell of fresh pine needles, the taste of hot apple cider, and the sound of old Christmas carols on the radio.”

Among the classics are "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," "Let It Snow," "O Holy Night," "O Come All Ye Faithful," and many more. I’ve taken some of my favorite Christmas classics and offered a new and unique interpretation of them," says Scott. "Beyond that, I’ve always been somewhat of a romantic at heart, and the holidays have a way of bringing you closer to those you love.”

The title cut, radio single and new composition, "Christmas In Paris," written with Aaron Steenhoven and Ryan Hydro, brings out that romantic side of Scott and Christmas. MacIntyre comments: "I love Paris - the smells, the sounds, the feel - and I remember so many vivid memories of my times there. I really wanted to paint an enchanting yet intimate picture of Christmas that people would never forget, and I think we were able to really capture the romantic side of the holidays in a fresh way with this song. It was one of those magical writing sessions where you can just feel something extraordinary was happening." "Christmas Angel," which garnered critical acclaim and became a top holiday radio single in 2010, is also featured on the project.

Christmas In Paris is available on iTunes and all other digital music platforms.
