MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The administrators and staff of AbsolutelyGospel.com are proud to announce the nominees for the 2014 Absolutely Gospel Music Awards. As in years past, the nominees were chosen by the staff of AbsolutelyGospel.com and select media representatives. Starting on February 1, 2014, the fans will get a chance to vote for their favorites in certain categories.
“We are planning on such a great awards program this year! We already have most of our performers confirmed, and we are taking our time with choosing the right hosts for this year’s ceremony,” mentioned Deon Unthank, President of AbsolutelyGospel.com.

Our awards program isn’t always about representing the most popular, but rather the songs, albums and artists that made a splash in an artistic way. We are proud of this year’s crop of nominees.”
As far as nominations go, two artists tied for the most nominations this year. Both The Isaacs and the Bowling Family landed a stellar 10 nominations this year, more than any other artist.

As far as nominations go, two artists tied for the most nominations this year. Both The Isaacs and the Bowling Family landed a stellar 10 nominations this year, more than any other artist.
The Isaacs took home nominations in Album of the Year (for The Living Years), Mixed Group of the Year, Best Live Performer, Country Song of the Year (for “Walk Together Children”), Country Recording of the Year (for The Living Years), and Fan Favorite Artist of the Year. The group also landed individual nominations for group members Becky Isaacs Bowman (Female Vocalist of the Year and Musician of the Year) and Ben Isaacs (Producer of the Year). Songwriting duo Becky & Sonya Isaacs landed aSongwriter of the Year (Artist) nomination as well.
The Bowling Family was also nominated for a 10 awards, the most the group has ever received in a single year. The family ensemble landed nods in Song of the Year (for “Somebody’s Believing”), Album of the Year (for Safe…After the Storm), Mixed Group of the Year, Progressive Song of the Year (for “Somebody’s Believing”), Country Song of the Year (for “I’ll Be Alright As Soon As I Touch Calvary”), Country Recording of the Year (for Safe…After the Storm), and Fan Favorite Artist of the Year. Three of members of the Bowling Family earned individual nominations: Mike Bowling (Male Vocalist of the Year), Kelly Bowling (Female Vocalist of the Year), and Troy Peach (Engineer of the Year).
