There is just something about being in the pristine mountains and hearing great gospel music that compliment each other. It is definitely a favorite for the guests and our staff as well. We have to remind our staff that they are working during the event, because the music is so uplifting. Most importantly it allows our community the opportunity to thank God for the gift of the Smoky Mountains.”
Rob Patz, CEO of Coastal Media Group and publisher of SGNScoops, commented, “We are happy to be returning to the Smoky Mountain Convention Center with Creekside 2014. It is going to be a great time of music, fun and fellowship. I love this area because we are so close to the Smoky Mountains during the fall, when God strokes His paintbrush over the trees and shows us the beauty of nature in a special way. Combine that beauty with terrific Gospel music and you have an unbeatable combination.” Patz adds, “We are also very grateful to Pete and all of his staff for always treating us with such great hospitality. We so appreciate all they do to welcome us and make us feel special!”

The Williamsons To Perform At The Great Passion Play
Wetumka, OK (April 23, 2014) The award winning Williamsons of Wetumka, Oklahoma have been invited to perform for opening night of this year’s season of The Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on May 2, 2014.
Darin Hebert, popular bass singer for The Williamsons, said, “We are humbled to be asked to participate at such a great event. Great things have been happening in Eureka Springs and The Williamsons are excited to be a part.”
Manager of the group, Donnie Williamson shared that in mid-December 2012 he received a call informing him that The Great Passion Play was going in to foreclosure on January 1. The Williamsons Release CD Project “Counting My Blessings”
Weleetka, OK (February 12, 2014) The Williamsons from Weleetka, OK are excited about the upcoming release of a brand new project featuring Lisa Williamson titled "Counting My Blessings". The release date is March 1, 2014. This CD is a mixture of some great songs by writers such as Dottie Rambo and Kevin Wright along with five original compositions by Lisa. It truly showcases the variety in Lisa's writing. From heartfelt ballads, to story songs, to a children's song sang by daughters, Sadie and Olivia Williamson, there is something to satisfy every listener.
They recently released their first radio single from this project titled "This Army Keeps Marching On" with Vertical Sky. Donna King said "I am so excited to be working with the Williamsons. We are getting ready to head into the studio this spring. I have followed their music and ministry for a long time and to get to produce a recording is really exciting for me. I am looking for lots of wonderful things to come from this radio release."
Lisa says, "A good friend of ours showed me the original recording of this song, and I immediately fell in love with it. What a message! We may be weary but the army of God keeps marching on."

Williamsons Invited To Perform In South Africa
Wetumkw, OK (December 10, 2013) Recently The Williamsons of Wetumka, Oklahoma were invited to present the music at a revival service near their home town. They were not aware that the evangelist was the Rev. Livingstone Zitha of Johannesburg, South Africa where he pastors a church of more than 5,000 members. He fell in love with the Southern Gospel music performed by The Williamsons and invited them to come to his church in South Africa along with other churches and to hold an area wide crusade at an athletic event field. The Williamsons have been working the past few years with Mike Russell of The World Mission Team who, along with The Williamsons, works in conjunction with The Gospel Station radio network. Rev. Russell was immediately put in charge of arrangements.
"Plans are beginning to take shape for the Williamson's third missionary journey with the Gospel Station's World mission team.” stated Mike Russell leader of the world mission team. Russell continued "Talk's have been on going for a year with Pastor Livingstone of Johannesburg South Africa for a joint effort to conduct a stadium crusade in the city of Johannesburg. What a privilege that God would allow us to work along side this powerful man of God. God is up to some good things."
Mike and Jan Russell along with the Williamson's will travel to South Africa during the month of November 2014 for the outreach. Those interested in participating in this exciting mission trip should contact the Williamson's, donnie@williamsonsmusic.com , The Gospel Station network" http://www.thegospelstation.com/ or the Russell's, mjruss@juno.com .
The Williamsons are excited about this new opportunity. They have been privileged to see nearly 9,000 lost souls make professions of faith in Jesus Christ in the past two years on mission endeavors. They are looking forward to seeing many thousands more come to Christ in South Africa!
In other news The Williamsons are releasing a new project.
The Williamsons are proud to announce the release of a brand new project featuring singer/songwriter Lisa Williamson. Lisa has written some new material for this project, much of it inspired by a very difficult situation through which she helped her parents. Songs like “I Will Be There Too”, “I’ve Made Up My Mind”, and one with a bluegrass feel “A Few Tears of Sorrow” were written to help encourage the Christian experiencing struggles. The title cut, “Counting My Blessings” is the old Irving Berlin song from the movie White Christmas which encourages us to remember all the wonderful things with which God has blessed us. It also includes two Dottie Rambo classics “We Shall Behold Him” and “Don’t Lift the Anchor”. She even included one song she wrote for her and Donnie’s two daughters, Sadie (age 8) and Olivia (age 6) called “Little Old Me”. They do a great job singing a great little song. Lisa says, “My hope is that people enjoy what they hear. It takes a lot of work to put a new recording together. If it encourages just one person, then that work was not in vain.” Counting My Blessings is expected to be released by January 1.

With less than two weeks before foreclosure was to take place The Gospel Station team along with The Williamsons and other Family and Friends artists began raising funds to save the park. Over $75,000 was raised in that short amount of time which was enough to insure the performances would continue another season.
Donnie Williamson stated “The Great Passion Play has shared the story of the Passion of Christ to more than seven million people over the years. With God’s help it will be used to share the message with many more. Plans are also in under way to promote Gospel music to park attendees.” Donnie continued “The Passion Play Production will also be doing a regular dinner program at the Park during the summer. We will also be making occasional appearances at the amphitheater throughout the season.”
The Williamsons are based in Wetumka, Oklahoma and have been recently nominated as “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” and “Favorite Group of the Year” in the Absolutely Gospel Music Awards and are among the top ten finalists in the Singing News Fan Awards as “Favorite New Mixed Group”. Williamsons Return From Successful Mission Trip
Weleetka, OK (January 28, 2013) Multi-award nominated Gospel group, the Williamsons, has just returned from a time of ministry in the area of Granada, Nicaragua. They traveled as part of the Gospel Station Radio Network sponsored World Mission Team who specializes in missionary evangelism. This is the second international missions endeavor for The Williamsons with The World Mission Team.
Donnie Williamson, manager and baritone singer for the group said, “The need is so great in areas like Granada and similar places around the world. The laborers seem to be few, but the rewards are so great. The joy of witnessing the message of the Gospel to this poor country was overwhelming, and watching the Doctors minister to their physical needs was such a blessing that your heart just melted within you.”
The team would gather each morning at a school and would minister with other groups of missionaries at an event called Med Fest which was coordinated by Way of the Cross Ministries based in Harlengen, Texas. Thousands came for free medical care and the Gospel was shared with each and every one. The Williamsons would then leave on an old school bus and visit three different villages each day and share the Gospel in song and testimony.
Donnie continued to state, “The area was very poor and some of the villages did not even have electricity.”
They would at times gather under a tree and sing with a guitar. Each time they stopped hundreds would gather to hear what they had to share and thousands responded to the Gospel message. Following each service the group would give food and literature to the adults and tracts and candy to each child.
By the end of the trip some 2500 had made professions of faith after hearing the precious Gospel of Jesus Christ.
