Jim Sheldon Scores Another #1

Stanford, KY (February 18, 2014) Country Gospel singer Jim Sheldon has scored another #1 song on the CASHBOX Country Gospel Chart. The Classic Gospel song “I Saw A Man” is penned by Arthur Smith. Many artists have recorded this song since it was written back in the 1960s, but Jim puts his own touch to the song and has earned the attention of DJs across the country.

Jim also claimed the #1 spot with “I Saw A Man” on the Christian Music Weekly Country Chart as well as on the Country Gospel Top 100 Chart in the Christian Voice Magazine.

Jim stated “I am so blessed to be honored by the Country Gospel genre where my music and ministry have been welcomed. I want to thank all the DJs for playing this song.”

Jim's popularity is no doubt influenced by his weekly appearance as The Positive Cowboy on The Music City Show. The Music City Show is a weekly TV program shown on RFD-TV and FamilyNet about to enter it's second season.

In other good news, Jim Sheldon was recently awarded #2 Male Vocalist of the Year with the Indie Gospel Artists.

About Jim Sheldon
After serving many years as music minster, there was a void yet filled. In 1994, joined my first gospel quartet. Immediately, I knew singing gospel music was God's true calling for my life. He confirmed this with a paraphrase of Proverbs 3:6 - "In everything you do put God first, He will direct and crown your efforts with success."

My greatest inspiration came from Glenn Payne. The Cathedrals sang at my church in Virginia. He told me:"Vocalize daily and never sing out of your range. Remember, God gave you the ability and desire. Honor Him with a servant's heart." Now God says it's time to tell my story of how God has brought me out from a long 'wilderness time' of sin, shame and disgrace to where I am today.

Wilds & Associates Announces Positive Changes for 2014 Gospel Music Event

(Kennedy, AL / October 2, 2013)

In 2005, Southern Gospel Music FanFair launched its inaugural event in Chattanooga, Tenneessee. The event moved to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in 2009. The following year, Wilds & Associates launched the Country Gospel Music FanFest, adding even more variety for Gospel music fans.

With great anticipation of their 10th anniversary event, Wilds & Associates has announced exciting changes coming in 2014.

SGM FanFair and CGM FanFest are being combined into one event. Beginning with their 2014 season, Gospel music fans can now enjoy a variety of traditional and progressive Southern, Country, Bluegrass, Inspirational and Urban Gospel music all under one roof.

This will also mean a name change for the annual, six-day event. Encompassing the various sub-genres, the event name has been officially changed to Gospel Music FanFair.

As a result of the name change, a new website is currently under development at www.gospelmusicfanfair.com. The new site will offer all the information about the 2014 event, including an artist appearance itinerary for attendees, exhibit booth information for artists and vendors, daily scheduled activities, ticket information and much more.

The event will continue to feature morning worship services, afternoon matinees, daily showcases, evening concerts and a newly revamped fan awards show. (Details concerning the new Gospel Music Fan Awards are forthcoming.)

The biggest change, perhaps, is the location of the newly reorganized event. The new Gospel Music FanFair will premier at the state-of-the-art theatre of the Center for Rural Development in Somerset, Kentucky. The prestigious Center is located in the heart of the beautiful Lake Cumberland. The theatre is the “crown jewel and showpeice’ of The Center, where some of the top names in music have performed including the world-renowned National Symphony Orchestra.

On-site parking and plenty of nearby hotel accommodations will ensure convenience to artists, vendors, and fans. And in addition to all the outdoor fun of Lake Cumberland, Somerset offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants and attractions suitable for the entire family.

The Gospel Music FanFair is scheduled to take place May 12-17, 2014.

Randall Wilds, CEO of Wilds & Associates, states, “We believe these changes will result in a very positive experience for attendees. Everyone is cordially invited to join us for this special 10th anniversary event as we continue the tradition of Gospel music, fellowship and family fun - creating wonderful memories for years to come.”

Miles Pike New CD Blood Kin Slated For October Release

October is a month of celebration for Miles Pike. First of all, this October, Miles is celebrating his fourth #1 song, "Teach Me To Love Like That," in the Christian Voice Magazine, off his CD, "Walk Through The Pages." As it happens, October is also the six-year anniversary of full time ministry for Miles. This being Miles' sixth year of full time ministry, he is also lining out details for his 6th annual homecoming concert this month. Last but not least, Miles' fourth CD project, "Blood Kin" is slated to be released in October.

This project is a 15-track collaboration of some of the greatest minds in Nashville, including Gary Prim, Kelly Back, Reggie & Ladye Love Smith, and Tommy Cooper, just to name a few. Also appearing as a special guest vocalist on two songs is the late Stephen Hill, in one of his last vocal recordings before he went home to glory.

In the truest sense, "Blood Kin" is near and dear to Miles' heart, because it features songs from the pen of his Dad and the voice talents of his Mom, aunt, and wife. The release of this CD falls on the six-year anniversary of full-time, national ministry for Miles.

Miles' sixth annual homecoming concert on March 2, 2013 at 6:00PM, will highlight this CD's theme by featuring a 75 voice choir made up of volunteers from over 35 churches in the east Texas area. This unique body of believers have come to represent their church in worship, and to make the statement that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. Not Baptists, not Methodists, not Pentecostal, Nazarene, or any other denomination we may use to describe ourselves. We are all first and foremost, blood kin, through Christ's sacrifice.

The choir will back Miles up on several of his new songs, and will also accompany special guest, Gaither Homecoming Artist, Larry Ford. There are a handful of slots still available for volunteers in the choir. If this is something that you feel you would like to be part of, please contact Miles through his website at www.MilesPikeMusic.com.

From the beginning these annual homecoming concerts have been sponsored by Miles as a gift back to his community. Doors are open to all, and a freewill offering will be received. This special evening of worship will begin at 6:00PM at Colonial Hills Baptist Church, on South Broadway, in Tyler, TX. Doors open at 5:00PM, so come early for the best seats. In celebration of all this happening, www.MilesPikeMusic.comwill feature for the month of October a product special: All four of Miles' CDs for $40 and free shipping. You can also check out the digital store for your iPod or MP3 player.

Keep current with updates and concert dates in your area at Miles' fan page on Facebook."

SGM FanFair is a "must-see" event for anyone who loves Southern Gospel music.

The CGM Fan Awards and the SGM Fan Awards are strictly fan-based, meaning that award recipients are voted and determined by gospel music fans. Nomination ballots for both awards programs went online February 1st. Open nominations are being accepted through February 28th...so there is still time to list nominations for your favorite artists. But don't delay, there are only a few days left. (The second and final ballots, listing the top 5 nominees will go online March 1st.)

Promoter Randall Wilds states, "Support your favorite Southern and Country Gospel artists with your nominations and make plans to attend CGM FanFest and SGM FanFair in the beautiful Smoky Mountains this spring!"
