News from Karen Peck and New River

From KPNR newsletter of September 17, 201:
Hey precious friends!
After being on the road for nine days, it is good to be home!! I will be doing laundry for the next hundred years! Lol
Right now I'm sitting in my kitchen, in front of my lap top computer, writing this newsletter, and drinking a diet mountain dew. Now this is the life!

Last week was an incredible week in Louisville for NQC. As always, we saw friends from all over the world. With it being the last year in Louisville, everyone seemed very excited about being there. And all of the artists were on their game! The times that I was inside the arena, I was so blessed by the performances! The audience was amazing to sing to!

REVIVAL has soared up the charts to #12! We are very grateful to the DJ's for playing the song. It was wonderful seeing so many of you at the DJ appreciation breakfast at NQC. (Thanks to all of the listeners for calling your local radio station and requesting the song. It really does help!)

This week I will be traveling to Clemmons, N.C. for our annual Abraham Productions meeting. Please continue to pray as we prepare for API events. Y'all be sure and sign up with KPNR and go with us on the Abraham Cruise November 2-9!!!

Our new album REVIVAL is doing great! We praise the Lord!

We would love to see you so check our schedule and join us in concert!! You can order online at our website or go to your local Christian bookstore.

Love y'all:)
Karen

Susan -

Hey,
Joseph informed me that he needed to order his class ring. Wow I can't believe he is almost through with high school. It seems like yesterday that I was trying to teach him how to write a cursive E. That took awhile. :-) I am so thankful that God blessed David & I with a wonderful young man!!!
Blessings, Susan

Jeff-

NQC was such a blessing this year. It's almost like a family reunion for both artists and our friends of the music. We all were truly revived this year and we sang "Revival" for the first time at Convention. It has become my favorite song to sing right now. I pray you all are doing well. I hope to see you all on October 4 and 5 when we sing at Dollywood. Love you guys!!!!

In this week's newsletter, we thought it would be fun to let you know what each of us have been doing during the summer.

SUSAN -
This has been a great summer. Vacation to the beach. Lots of cookouts. I enjoyed spending time with my family. Joseph always keeps me laughing. He is comical. With summer approaching the the end, I am looking forward to the fall and seeing you at our concerts.

JEFF -
This has been a GREAT summer! I can't believe it's already on the downward swing, but it has been a blessings. We have experienced anointed services and met some of the sweetest people on the planet. For me, on my off days, I have once again managed the local swimming pool near where I live. It has been fun in the sun! Although it seems like it has rained every day, we have had a blast! I also had a blessed time with my girlfriend who has now gone back to college for her last year of nursing school. We have made lasting memories and she's been able to come to some of our dates. I am really excited about the fall, as it is my favorite season, especially on the road. I look forward to seeing you all soon!!!! Blessings!

KAREN -
This has been one of my favorite summers! Vacationing in Destin, Fl. with family and friends was definitely a highlight. KPNR Homecoming was a success. Gatlinburg Gathering was a huge blessing. Wednesday night church at Free Chapel was amazing. Matthew was busy with traveling with us but had a couple of dates with Parachute Parade. He also has a girlfriend!

Kari got a new car!! Well, it's used, but new to her! She and I have been driving around in her little candy apple red Mini Cooper. She also had her first acting lesson in Nashville. Rickey has been working hard in the hair salon. He is now selling Aveda products.

I have been busy being a Mom and loving every minute of it! Also I did a Skype audition for a Christian movie! I'm waiting to hear back from the producers.

We decided a while back to take a couple of Sundays off during the summer so we could spend quality time with our families. It has been nice going to church together as a family. Last Sunday after church, we went boating with some precious friends. Had a ball!!
And last but not least... I had my first colonoscopy! That was quite an experience! Lol (I know I'm listing only the fun things from the summer but y'all know that I usually over share! I just HAD to tell y'all!! ;)

There are so many things that I've left out. We loved all of the places that we went and met some wonderful new friends. The rest of the year will be awesome! I'm looking forward to the annual fall dates and the Abraham Productions cruise in November!

Be sure to check our schedule and come see us!

Love y'all! :)

Happy Easter Week From Karen Peck and New River

Happy Easter week! We have loved watching 'The Bible Series' on our bus over the past few weeks. Looking forward to the final episode on Easter Sunday night! I'm so thankful for Jesus!!

Well, it has been a very busy month. We began the process of recording a new album while hitting a few road blocks along the way. The first week of vocals started with the sudden passing of Jeff Hawes' pastor, Rev. David Hall, 57 years old. He was a great man of God and supported Jeff and our ministry in such a special way. In the same week, Susan, Jeff, and I became sick with colds! We literally prayed and sang our way through the songs! The following week we traveled back to Nashville on our days off and worked tirelessly to create the best possible sound from KPNR. Last week we performed at the Tracy Stuffle Benefit concert, which was awesome, and finished the album the next day! Yay! Honestly, we could feel your prayers through this entire emotional time! After we left the studio the last day and started heading back to Ga., we started listening to the rough mix of everything that we had done over the past few weeks. When we were half way through the CD, all three of us just broke down and cried thanking the Lord for helping us through those difficult days and for His Precious anointing on every song. Needless to say, there is something special about this album. We pray that you will be uplifted and encouraged! The title of the album will be "Finish Well" and will be released sometime in the summer.

Now we are off for a few days and loving every minute of it!! LOL (Sleeping at home in my bed is great as long as a fan is turned on to remind me of the bus engine!! Hahaha) I was hoping to plant some flowers in the front yard, but the freezing cold weather 'ain't' going to let that happen! (I think that groundhog played an early April fool's joke on us!) However, we are looking forward to this weekend spending time with our families and going to church on Sunday.

We want to say a very special thanks to the DJ's for playing "Sustaining Grace" featuring Susan!! Also thanks for playing "God Lives There" from my solo album. We appreciate everyone for calling your local radio station and requesting these songs. It really does make a difference!

I'm ending the newsletter this week with something that I posted on FaceBook this week. May we all cherish this week and hold dear to our hearts what Jesus did on Calvary. We serve a risen Savior!! Happy Easter!!!:)
+++++ +++++ +++++

Two weeks ago was my birthday. I attended an Abraham Production meeting in Winston Salem, NC and later that afternoon, I drove to Nashville, TN to work on KPNR’s new album. It was a very busy, productive day. The weather was 68 degrees and beautiful, making the seven hour drive very pleasant. While I was driving on the long highway interstate 40 stretch filled with beautiful mountains, I began listening to our new tracks to prepare myself for recording. Enjoying the gorgeous scenery and feeling very blessed and excited about the new songs, one particular song entitled, “Jesus Remember Me”, started playing, The chorus says, “You are faithful Beyond faithful, You have heard my every cry. Every sin You have forgotten, though I’ll never know just why. As You’re looking down from Heaven all the millions You must see….OH Jesus, remember me.” While singing the lyrics to this song, I unexpectedly burst into tears. I began to pray about specific things and would cry out, ‘Lord, please remember me.’ All of a sudden, on the right hand side of my car, I noticed a beautiful rock formation with water gushing out… and I felt the Lord say gently to my heart, “But Karen, I always remember you.” Oh…my…goodness! People, I had CHURCH in my car!! LOL I prayed for God to let His anointing ‘GUSH’ out of KPNR just like the water that was gushing out of that rock. Let the songs keep flowing through us. Continue to allow the Holy Spirit to flow through us….and the list goes on.

I’m sharing this with you today to let you know that Jesus has NOT forgotten you. He has your best interest in mind at all times. Every prayer that you’ve prayed, He hears. He has already answered your prayers, He’s just waiting for the right time to let it happen. And every time you pray and ask Him to please remember you, HE is saying, “I always remember you.”

Final thought “Jesus remembered you and me while suffering on an old rugged cross.” I will forever be grateful.

Have a wonderful Easter – Resurrection Celebration!!!

Blessings, Karen

Happy New Year From Karen Peck and New River

From KPNR email newsletter of January 3, 2013:

Happy New Year!
I've been thinking about this for quite some time. How can we have the best year ever? Some people are starting off the new year grieving the loss of a loved one. Some are facing physical challenges. Some are without jobs. The list goes on.
However, I believe that if we spend more time with the Lord by praying and reading His Word, this time next year we will say that 2013 was the best year ever. Maybe our circumstances surrounding us may not be the best, but as long as we are walking closely with God, we will have a peace that the Bible says 'passes all understanding'.
PHILIPPIANS 4:6,7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ."
As long as we have Christ in our lives, that is all we need. He will supply our needs.
Susan sings the song, Sustaining Grace. My favorite line in the song says that 'I tried to make that mountain move, but instead He moved in me.' How many times do we try to remove those mountains in our lives and we find ourselves burned out, complacent, and bitter?
We become weary in well doing. However, if we can step back from the situation and allow God to move those mountains for us, our lives will be filled with peace and contentment. Easier said than done, right?? Well, with the Lord's help, we can do it.
PHILIPPIANS 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Let's challenge each other to make the effort to spend more time with our Lord and watch Him do mighty works in our lives. Then, let's have the same conversation this time next year!! I believe we will truly say that we had the best year with the Lord that we've ever had!!!

Love Y'all!!!
Karen
Happy New Year!
Twenty-two years ago, New Year's Eve, we dedicated the KPNR group to The Lord. There have been times that we have had adversities and struggles, but also times of great joy and fulfillment. Psalm 31:7 -I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy for thou has considered my trouble, thou hast know my soul in adversities. God IS with us. My prayer is that everyone has a blessed 2013.

Love,
Susan
I am wishing all of you a very blessed 2013!
It is hard to believe that this weekend will be my 3 year anniversary with KPNR. Time has flown by! Honestly, it has been such a dream come true and I cannot thank you enough for your support and prayers. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for us all in 2013, and I want to encourage you to keep pressing on - no matter where you are or what you're doing, give The Lord your BEST!!!!
