Adoration Agency Artist, Back Home, Releases a Powerful Music Video

Waynesville, NC (October 2, 2014) - Adoration Agency artist, Back Home, recently released a powerful music video. The message of the video, entitled "Birmingham," is making a deep impact with viewers and offering hope to those who may have experienced rejection from the Christian community.

The song was written by group member, Jennifer Layne (of Back Home) and her co-writer, Mark Narmore.  The testimony that led to its being written is very moving. That true story is depicted in the video.

Jennifer and her husband, Jimmy, who founded the group, express that every aspect of their ministry started from their own need to go "back home." In the early years of their marriage they learned (the hard way) that life can be tough, but, God is good.  Since day one of their music ministry, from churches around the country to missions around the world, they share music geared to tell others that there truly is a way home.

The music video came from a road experience when the group met a waitress in a restaurant who shared her own testimony of failure, rejection, and redemption.

Jennifer shares, "We are so excited about this video. We know that this is not just a young lady's story.  People need to know that there are churches out there that are full of loving people who want to welcome them in.  And, above all else, there's a GOD who loves them no matter what they've done or where they've been.  We all experience rejection from human beings but GOD will never turn His back on anyone."

Many top artists today have expressed, not only their appreciation for Back Home and their talents, but also the heart of this new conept video.   Jeff and Sheri Easter is one of those.  They state, "This video teaches us a lot about loving people who are hurting and not kicking them while they're down.  A beautiful representation of Christ's love." Karen Peck Gooch of Karen Peck and New River adds,  "This video is amazing... Beautiful.  It shows us how grace abounds and how true Christianity should be portrayed.  May we all stop pointing fingers and start loving each other more."

You can see the video on YouTube by clicking here- Back Home "Birmingham." And, please be sure to share it with others.  Countless people need to know the LOVE of CHRIST and that they can go BACK HOME.

About Back Home

The ministry of the Award Winning and Award Nominated group Back Home is a true example of the parable of the Prodigal Son. The ups and downs of life are all too familiar to Jimmy and Jennifer Layne. Through suffering several miscarriages, one to a set of twins, Jimmy's struggle with major drug and alcoholism problems and losing both of their well-established jobs within three days of each other, the faithfulness of God has revealed itself time and time again. Back Home Releases New Song To Radio

Nashville, TN (September 19, 2013) Award nominated family group, Back Home, is releasing a new song to radio that they are extremely excited about.
Penned by renowned songwriters Sue Smith and Don Poythress, “Heavy End Of the Cross” is destined to be another chart topper for this quickly rising Country/Gospel group. Radio seems to really like the Country sound of Back Home so this song should be quickly accepted and move right up the charts.
Songwriter of the Year winner, Sue Smith, stated “My son-in-law (worship pastor in Texas) sent me a quote from the great preacher Charles Spurgeon. It is from his last sermon, which was given to a crowd of young preachers. It moved me deeply, and I knew that I wanted to write a song about the section that begins with "He is always to be found in the thickest part of the battle..." I was blessed that soon after that, I was scheduled to write with Don Poythress, who loved the idea.”
Co-writer Don Poythress said “Back Home has a ministry that touches people, heals and encourages them. I pray "The Heavy End Of The Cross" will bless many.”
During the National Quartet Convention, Back Home was chosen as the winner of their Showcase and got to sing on the main stage on Thursday night. Back Home made quite a buzz during this week. Someone mentioned after their performance that Back Home is the New Little Big Town and Lady Antebellum of SG Music.

Back Home to Donate CD Proceeds to World Missions

Cleveland, TN (May 6, 2013) Jimmy and Jennifer Layne, also known as “Back Home,” from Nashville, Tennessee, have committed to donate a portion of the profits from their new CD to the Marcelly’s Dream project with Church of God World Missions.

In a ceremony attended by the staff of World Missions, led by General Director Tim Hill, the Layne’s announced their intentions at the International Offices earlier this week. The CD, titled, “Live It,” contains original music, mostly written by Jennifer Layne. They will donate $5.00 from each CD sold.

Jimmy Lane stated "Marcelly's Dream is all about getting Bibles into the hands of kids, and putting Bibles into every child's hand is something we can really support. It's something we believe in" . Marcelly's Dream also attends to the practical needs of children around the would, such as medical and educational supplies.

“The inspiration for ‘Live It’ came from the fact that so many people don’t take their testimony beyond the walls of the church,” Jennifer stated. “Everyone needs to put legs on your faith!” The songwriter also noted that “missions is about everywhere” and likened it to World Missions recent action to add the USA and Canada as a mission field.

Jimmy Layne stated that his wife wrote eight of the songs on the CD and was, “hearing from God,” when she did so. Jimmy continued “Our main objective is to present real life songs…we live it!”

The website www.backhomesings.com contains full information about the Layne’s and their ministry, as well as a way to purchase the CD through mail or via iTunes download. For more information about the Marcelly’s Dream Project, visit www.cogwm.org.
