Hello friends!
Yesterday during a video announcement it was announced that ever-popular vocalist Doug Anderson would be leaving Ernie Haase & Signature Sound. Below is a statement from Doug Anderson regarding the changes. Feel free to use this statement in any coverage.
Since the news was announced yesterday, I’ve been overwhelmed at the amount of love and support shown to me. Ernie Haase is my friend and is like a brother to me. The journey with him has been an amazing one and I will never be able to repay him for all he has done for me and my family. The last 13 years have been wonderful and I am going to miss climbing on the bus every week with ALL my brothers.
This decision was not an easy one, but one that I have complete peace about. As you saw in the video, nothing is wrong, no one is mad at anyone. I want to spend more time with my wife and girls, and I want them to travel with me some. It really is as simple as that.
I am very blessed that I can forge a new path on my own because of what Ernie Haase & Signature Sound did for me – I will be forever grateful.
I can’t wait to see you on the road! Please stay in touch with me on Twitter, Facebook and my website.
I LOVE YOU ALL and I will see you soon!
Doug

Award-winning Ernie Haase & Signature Sound to Release All-new CD and DVD Oh What a Savior
New LIVE Recordings Air on Various TV Networks
Acclaimed Gospel Group to Share Stories Behind the Music on SIRIUS XM’s “Daniel Britt & Friends” Broadcast
February 3rd, 2014—NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Award-winning and GRAMMY® –nominated quartet Ernie Haase & Signature Sound are releasing an all-new CD and DVD this week. Oh What a Savior, a LIVE project recorded at the Carson Center in Paducah, Ky., was produced by GMA DOVE Award-winning producer and songwriter Wayne Haun.
The group, which features Ernie Haase, Doug Anderson, Devin McGlamery and Paul Harkey, brought their hallmark energy to the stage to perform Gospel standards such as “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot,” “Heavenly Parade,” “Up Above My Head (I Hear Music in the Air),” “Noah Found Grace in the Eyes of the Lord” and “Scars in the Hands of Jesus” as well as a new, crowd-stirring arrangement of “When the Saints Go Marching In.”
“We sang ‘This Ol’ House’ while in Chennai, India, a couple of years ago; and we included a bridge of ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’ as part of that arrangement,” recalls Haase. “When we began to sing the bridge the crowd exploded. We decided right then we needed to do our own arrangement of this Gospel standard.”
One of the group’s most requested Gospel standards ongoing is Haase’s now signature rendition of the title cut, “Oh What a Savior.”
“I never tire of singing this song,” Haase describes. “To have a song people demand you sing is a career maker to say the least. However, to have audiences sing along with you and take the song away from you takes things to another level. Dare I say a ‘heavenly level.’ That's worship!”
In addition to popular favorites, the group recorded several brand new songs on the release including the intimate “Shh, Be Still,” sung around the piano; the first radio single “That’s Why (I Love Him So)”; and “Sometimes I Wonder.” The group was joined throughout the evening by special guests including the trio Beyond the Ashes, Gaither HOMECOMING favorite Wesley Pritchard and Broadway sensation J.Mark McVey (Les Miserables) who joined the quartet for a chilling rendition of The Sound of Music standard “Climb Every Mountain.”
"We hope listeners and viewers of the new release will experience joy, hope and encouragement,” stated Haase. “These are tough times that we are living in, and I believe God placed Signature Sound here for a time such as this to be a bright light."
Oh What a Savior has been airing on national tv networks including RFD, DISH TV, DIRECTV, TBN, Family Net, FFE, RURAL TV, TNN, Airtime, CTN, The Walk TV (formerly Legacy), TCT and TLN and also in Canada on Vision TV, CTS, Grace TV and the Miracle Channel. The DVD is also featured on Gaither TV (available on Roku, Google TV and the Internet).
The group will be featured on the next two broadcasts of “Daniel Britt & Friends,” a Gospel radio show on SIRIUS XM Satellite Radio’s enLighten channel (Sirius XM Channel 65). The guys share stories from the road, describe the making of the Oh What a Savior recording and preview songs from the new release. The one-hour shows will air as follows: Monday, February 3rd, at 7PM EST; Thursday, February 6th at 10PM EST; and Saturday, February 8th, at 12PM/NOON EST.
The new CD and DVD, available on February 4th, are exclusively distributed by Capitol Christian Distribution and are available throughout general market stores and the Christian marketplace in addition to online retailers including erniehaase.com, iTunes, Amazon and Gaither.com.

Doug Anderson Celebrates The Release of DRIVE
Stow Town Records, LAPEL, IN (January 21, 2014) — Single-digit temperatures outside had no effect on Doug Anderson’s audience inside The Station on Tuesday night; that crowd gladly
chose to “Drive” over snowy roads for an evening featuring the warm voice and memorable songs they’d been waiting to hear.
Doug Anderson—fresh from his GMA Dove Award-winning debut solo recording—kept the momentum going with a CD release party for his sophomore project on StowTown
Records; the event was attended by an enthusiastic hometown Hoosier crowd, faithful fans, and music industry friends from Nashville. The 2012 “Male Vocalist of the Year” (Absolutely Gospel Awards) and radio favorite (three Top 40 radio singles) had to fight canceled flights just to make it back in time for the big night from Hershey, Pennsylvania, where he had been the featured artist for the annual Christian Products Expo. According to Kirk Blank, president of Munce Group and MTL media, “Doug’s performance generated waves of thundering applause, and his ability to weave a story between songs endeared him to the packed crowd of independent retailers.”
Although currently known as a featured vocalist with Ernie Haase & Signature Sound,
Anderson has gained new fans as a country music solo artist, and Tuesday night
he proved again that he is at home in either setting. The high-energy baritone,
along with a live band, kept the crowd happy all night long with a variety of new and
classic songs, including the progressive title song “Drive,” a memorable remake of the Dolly Parton favorite “The Seeker,” the heartfelt “Moment by Moment Grace,” and the contagious first radio single from the project, “Love with Open Arms.” A few highlights from the evening are available athttp://youtu.be/pKzBKmD-rNY and http://youtu.be/nb7RbZkf3QY
Retail stores will carry “Drive” exclusively for two weeks beginning January
21, 2014; after that initial offering, fans will be able to purchase the CD online, in addition to the brick-and-mortar stores. Follow Doug Anderson on Twitter and Facebook for updates on his solo concerts, as well as his tour schedule with Ernie Haase & Signature Sound.

Many of you who are on this email list are new. Each night, we have hundreds sign up to be on our list and to that we say thank you and hello to all our new E-Team readers.
So, let me remind all of you old friends, and the new friends, that our very own Doug Anderson has recorded his first solo CD. It’s called “Dreaming Wide Awake.” It is the sophomore release from StowTown Records and it is full of Doug’s great voice and heart. Pick it up and enjoy it over and over again.
In closing, I’d like to share a personal story/devotional and a perspective.
On Doug’s solo CD, there is a song that has moved me lately to see things a bit different. The song is called, “I’ll Take What’s Left.”
Let me explain.
Most of you do not know this, but I have been fighting knee problems for the past few years. Nothing major, just a torn meniscus in the right knee that took way longer to heal after a minor surgery in 2007. And most recently, I have been dealing with the same thing in my left knee. I’m waiting till Christmas to get this fixed. So, no running outside, no jumping off stages (l think that may have been the tipping point) and no more (wait for it …. listen to the sobs from your tenor boy here) NO MORE BASKETBALL.
The other day we were singing in Arnold Park, IA and the facility had a brand new basketball floor and I could not play with the guys. I know it is not the end of life and not worthy to compare to major problems, but indulge me a bit here.
So, I took my iPod and went for a walk. A mile into the walk I was next to the beautiful Lake Okoboji Resort. A cool breeze was blowing and sailboats were at full mast. Kids were playing on the beach and some of the loveliest little cottages lined the streets. I was touched by what I saw. I thought, “I wished I could have played ball today, but man I’m glad I saw this part of God’s creation.”
The next week I’m home with Lisa we decided to buy some new bikes. Not the kind Lance Armstrong would ride. No, these are built for slow, long rides. Lisa and I went on a trail right behind my house that used to be an old railroad track. I think the odometer said 20 miles after our long relaxing ride. What a great time! We saw things that were practically in my backyard that I have never seen before in the 20 plus years of living there. And the best part is that I was with my baby.
On the way back, we passed some boys playing basketball and I thought, “That would have been me playing ball at the park with guys I don’t even know.” I then began to think of the chorus Doug’s new song. Here it is …..
I’ll Take What’s Left
“I’ll take what’s left
What broken and shattered
I’ll find the pieces you have lost
I’ll take what’s left
No matter where they’ve scattered
I’ll take you just the way you are
There’s no need to spend another day
Feeling like you do
I’ll take what’s left and MAKE IT NEW.”
(Words and Music by Wayne Haun & Joel Lindsey)
I took what was left, went with it and look what God gave us; He wove us both a beautiful day. If I had my way, I’d been playing basketball.
I’m sharing this with you not to tell you that God made my knee to hurt or to receive any pity. What I am saying is this:
God creates. God created everything out of nothing.
All that we see, and things we choose not to see He made out of darkness and nothingness.
Remember the little boy in the Gospels who had just a few pieces of bread and fish? What did Jesus do with that? He took what was left and fed thousands. People make the point of the story to be all about the miracle, but the major point of the story, to me, is that Jesus took what he had left.
God knows what broken pieces you have to offer Him. You think it is not much, but God sees potential to create. Do you really think God stopped creating after day 6? NOPE! He is still the creator and He is taking broken pieces of lives and making something new everyday.
The point is this, BRING WHAT’S LEFT TO HIM!
What little finances you have left. What little love you have left in your heart. The shattered pieces of your hopes and dreams. The fragments of trust that have been broken by abuse and neglect. The rusty and dusty talents that have lain dormant for years. Don’t concentrate on what you’ve lost. Bring to Jesus all that you have left and watch Him create something fresh and new.
My mentor Bill Gaither says to me all the time, “Ernie, life is a series of losses. The longer you live, the more you loose. Learn to lose with Grace.”
Bill is not talking about sports here. He is talking about the game of life. The older we get, the more our bodies slow down. The more people we know and love the more possibilities of loss of relationship to death and/or separation. The older we get, the more possibilities for careers to end.
But either we believe God is still the creator and can make something beautiful with what we have left or, by our actions and our continued efforts of filing our lives with counterfeit gods we are saying, “God is not in the business of creating anymore.”
Each day I live, I want to give God what I have left: my voice, my writing, my laughter, my ability to entertain, my love, my heart, my money, my all. And guess what? Each day I live all those things are decaying and slowly leaving its toll on me. But I am excited to see what God will create from what’s left. I’ve got to believe this or I’ll go crazy. I have to continue to choose, and remind myself each day, that God is creating and making something new that is a portal to His glory.
To my fellow brothers and sisters, let’s put God on display and give Him what’s left. Can you feel hope rising within? I hope!
Oh What A Savior,
Ernie
