Hello friends!
Yesterday during a video announcement it was announced that ever-popular vocalist Doug Anderson would be leaving Ernie Haase & Signature Sound. Below is a statement from Doug Anderson regarding the changes. Feel free to use this statement in any coverage.
Since the news was announced yesterday, I’ve been overwhelmed at the amount of love and support shown to me. Ernie Haase is my friend and is like a brother to me. The journey with him has been an amazing one and I will never be able to repay him for all he has done for me and my family. The last 13 years have been wonderful and I am going to miss climbing on the bus every week with ALL my brothers.
This decision was not an easy one, but one that I have complete peace about. As you saw in the video, nothing is wrong, no one is mad at anyone. I want to spend more time with my wife and girls, and I want them to travel with me some. It really is as simple as that.
I am very blessed that I can forge a new path on my own because of what Ernie Haase & Signature Sound did for me – I will be forever grateful.

July, 28, 2014 (Nashville, TN)… StowTown Records is thrilled to announce the signing of TaRanda Greene, one of Christian Music’s most popular and beloved performers.

TaRanda, who has been a featured vocalist for the Grammy-winning, world famous Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir in New York, is also a regular guest vocalist at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas, Shadow Mountain Community Church in San Diego and First Baptist Church Atlanta.

“TaRanda is one of my favorite singers of all time. The recordings, which will be available on September 2nd, capture the historical concerts that took place on November 8th and 9th, 2013, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the MacGorman Performing Arts Center where five former members of the legendary Cathedrals combined voices to celebrate the group’s legacy and pay honor to its founders Glen Payne and George Younce.

The two-day event featured performances by tenor Ernie Haase and his GRAMMY®-nominated quartet Ernie Haase & Signature Sound; baritone Scott Fowler and Legacy Five (a group he co-founded after The Cathedrals retired); lead vocalist and piano player Gerald Wolfe and Greater Vision (the heralded trio he formed upon leaving the group); beloved baritone and bass player Mark Trammel and The Mark Trammel Quartet; and tenor Danny Funderburk, now a popular solo artist and household name among gospel music lovers. The recordings, an encouraging walk down memory lane, are a tribute to group members Payne and Younce, two patriarchs and mentors who were an inspiration to countless singers for many decades. “Doing these great time-honored songs in the studio was great,” described Haase. “We thought that was all there would be of the experience. Then to sing them ‘live’ with each other was beyond words. To have had that one special night captured ‘live’ on DVD & CD was truly a bonus blessing. The sold-out event marked the first time these five acclaimed vocalists had joined together to perform some of the most loved hits by The Cathedrals, whose career spanned over 35 years. The concert brought back countless memories for the singers and the audience alike, and the stories they shared left the congregation moved and inspired…and wanting more. The overwhelming response has resulted in a national tour in six select markets organized by IMC in association with Showcase Management. The tour will start this November in Akron, Ohio, the birthplace of the original Cathedral Quartet where it all began.
As with the original reunion event, each weekend will focus on celebrating the legacy of the iconic Cathedral Quartet, featuring music from each of the current artists as well as performances by this special Cathedrals Family Reunion line-up. NASHVILLE, TN (March 20, 2014) – The Perrys, undisputedly one of the most legendary groups in Southern Gospel history, have reached yet another milestone by completing their first recording in the studio with StowTown Records.

When it comes to new music releases this year, The Perrys’ “Into His Presence” CD is the one that fans and industry insiders alike have been waiting to hear, and the project hits retail on April 8, 2014. StowTown co-founders Ernie Haase and Wayne Haun (also the producer of the project) have been just as eager for this day to come, since they celebrated the signing of The Perrys to an exclusive contract on October 28, 2013.

Highly awarded during their 41-year fascinating career, The Perrys’ roster currently includes Libbi Perry Stuffle—the unforgettable alto who carries on the family legacy, along with her husband and beloved bass singer Tracy Stuffle, their son Jared (JK) Stuffle representing a new generation on bass vocals, lead singer David Ragan, and baritone Bryan Walker.

February 3rd, 2014—NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Award-winning and GRAMMY® –nominated quartet Ernie Haase & Signature Sound are releasing an all-new CD and DVD this week. Oh What a Savior, a LIVE project recorded at the Carson Center in Paducah, Ky., was produced by GMA DOVE Award-winning producer and songwriter Wayne Haun.

The group, which features Ernie Haase, Doug Anderson, Devin McGlamery and Paul Harkey, brought their hallmark energy to the stage to perform Gospel standards such as “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot,” “Heavenly Parade,” “Up Above My Head (I Hear Music in the Air),” “Noah Found Grace in the Eyes of the Lord” and “Scars in the Hands of Jesus” as well as a new, crowd-stirring arrangement of “When the Saints Go Marching In.”

“We sang ‘This Ol’ House’ while in Chennai, India, a couple of years ago; and we included a bridge of ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’ as part of that arrangement,” recalls Haase. “When we began to sing the bridge the crowd exploded. We decided right then we needed to do our own arrangement of this Gospel standard.”

One of the group’s most requested Gospel standards ongoing is Haase’s now signature rendition of the title cut, “Oh What a Savior.”

“I never tire of singing this song,” Haase describes. “To have a song people demand you sing is a career maker to say the least. However, to have audiences sing along with you and take the song away from you takes things to another level. Dare I say a ‘heavenly level.’ That's worship!”

In addition to popular favorites, the group recorded several brand new songs on the release including the intimate “Shh, Be Still,” sung around the piano; the first radio single “That’s Why (I Love Him So)”; and “Sometimes I Wonder.” The group was joined throughout the evening by special guests including the trio Beyond the Ashes, Gaither HOMECOMING favorite Wesley Pritchard and Broadway sensation J.Mark McVey (Les Miserables) who joined the quartet for a chilling rendition of The Sound of Music standard “Climb Every Mountain.”

My Life Was Changed By A Baby Boy

Christmas is all about Christ and children. It is about love and giving. It is about making memories and putting them in your heart to treasure forever.

Recently, my Dad (Ray Haase) and I sat down and chatted man-to-man. It’s never been hard to chat about work, sports, the Bible or politics, but this chat was different; it was special. Alone together I shared from my heart about how much he meant to me. I reflected on his work ethic and the sacrifices he made for the whole family. I told Him I was about to record a Christmas video and that if he wanted me to sing a favorite song, I’d be happy to do that for him and for Mom.

Pop is a tough man. He still gets up at 4 a.m., hits the gym and then is the first to work. So, for him to be “soft” took me by surprise. He said, “Sing My Life Was Changed By A Baby Boy. I love that song.” He looked down and paused a bit then looked at me with a tear in his eye and said, “You know, my life was changed by a baby boy. You, Ernie.” He went on to tell me a story that I had never heard. He said, “I was a young and wild 18-year-old kid the day you were born. When I walked into that room and saw you for the first time, you looked right at me and smiled Ernie. I knew then and there I had to grow up. I told your Momma that I was going to stop the things I was doing and start going to church and be a Dad to you. So, Ernie, I did give my life to Jesus, but my life was literally changed by a baby boy…YOU!”

One of the greatest father-and-son moments EVER! No baseball game or church function could ever replace the holiness of that moment. Later that month, as we recorded the video, I thought back to that time when Pop and I shared our hearts. He and Mom were there on the front row wiping tears all night long. I’m a blessed son.

This Christmas season, and all year long, take time to be with the ones who matter most. Share your heart. Show your bruises and share your story. Let people close to you know that they matter. Christmas is about sharing. Thank God for the gift of life that is ours in Jesus. I think the Father in heaven smiles when His children get along in fellowship and love. And that special day, when I heard my earthly father tell me his life was changed by a baby boy, I can’t help but believe my Heavenly Father smiled and said, “Now that’s what it’s all about.”

Now, for the first time ever, five alumni members of the Cathedrals are reuniting to present a special Cathedrals Family Reunion CD featuring all-new recordings of some of the most loved and biggest hits of their career. In this once-in-a-lifetime collection, Scott Fowler, Ernie Haase, Mark Trammell, Danny Funderburk and Gerald Wolfe blend their voices together re-creating that classic Cathedral sound. (NASHVILLE, TN) – The evening of Tuesday, October 15, 2013 was quite exciting for Devin McGlamery, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound and StowTown Records! During a special ceremony at the 44th Annual GMA Dove Awards, "From My Rags, To His Riches" was awarded "Country Song of The Year." The song, performed by Devin McGlamery with Bluegrass powerhouse duo Dailey and Vincent, from the StowTown Records release, Love Is A Verb, has resonated with audiences across the country with the theme of forgiveness and grace. Songwriters Ernie Haase, Wayne Haun and Joel Lindsey also received awards for composing the song.

"To say I am beyond excited is an understatement," exclaimed Devin McGlamery. "All I've ever wanted to do was sing Gospel music. To be honored by my peers with a Dove Award is extremely humbling. I praise Jesus Christ, my Savior, for all His blessings!"

Ernie Haase commented: "I met Devin McGlamery as a young teenager who wanted to do this more than anything! I knew then that one day, he would achieve great things. I am very proud of him."

The excitement continued through the evening as Ernie Haase & Signature Sound took to the red carpet to pose for photos and talk with journalists.

Later during the televised portion, the group joined an all-star salute to Bill Gaither. Performing the song "He Touched Me," the group, along with the Isaacs, Dailey & Vincent, and Karen Peck Gooch lit up the stage and brought the crowd to their feet as the music flowed. The Gaither Vocal Band ended the tribute with a performance of "Alpha & Omega."

"It was an honor for our group to pay tribute to one of my personal mentors and friends," shared Ernie Haase. "For years Bill Gaither has invested into the lives of others and it was a very special moment to be able to pay a small tribute to the man who has done so much for Gospel music and the kingdom. We love Bill Gaither!"

The 44th Annual GMA Dove Awards will be televised exclusively on the UP! Television Network tonight, Monday, October 21 at 8:00 PM ET.

Beyond The Ashes Nominated For A Dove
