NQC ATTRACTS GLOBAL AUDIENCE - 59th Annual Event Enjoys Expanded International Audience

October 9, 2015 – A global audience enjoyed the 2015 edition of the NQC (National Quartet Convention) held last week in Pigeon Forge, TN. The 59th annual event - held at the LeConte Center - attracted attendees and webcast viewers from over 30 countries. In addition to the United States, the NQC was enjoyed by gospel music lovers in Canada, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Chile, Netherlands, Australia, Norway, Taiwan, Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Nicaragua, and many more!

The 59th annual NQC (National Quartet Convention) concluded on Saturday night, October 3, 2015. The 2015 edition of the popular event included over 100 hours of gospel music, speakers and more spread out over the course of seven days in beautiful Pigeon Forge, TN.

A veritable who's who in gospel music performed during this year's event as artists performed for approximately 40,000 throughout the week. Attendees enjoyed The Hoppers, Kingdom Heirs, Greater Vision, Mark Trammell Quartet, Jim Brady Trio, The Nelons, Jason Crabb, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, the Collingsworth Family, Jeff & Sheri Easter, and many, many more during the morning chapel services, afternoon showcase spectaculars and evening concerts.

The NQC was founded in 1957 by gospel music legend and former backup vocalist for Elvis Presley, J.D. Sumner who co-produced the event with James Blackwood. The annual convention was moved in later years to Nashville, TN and then to Louisville, KY where it was held for 20 years.

The LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, TN - a $45 million special events facility - serves as the host for gospel music's largest annual event.

Tune In Alert: Jim Brady Trio CD release party to be broadcast on SiriusXM’s enLighten station this Saturday

Hendersonville, TN – Jan. 30, 2015) The Jim Brady Trio celebrated Tuesday’s release of its debut project with Daywind Records at a CD release party, which was held at Bridgestone Arena’s SiriusXM Music City Theater in Nashville, Tenn.

“We give heartfelt thanks to Daywind and SiriusXM for helping us celebrate the release of ‘A New Chapter,’” Jim Brady emphasizes. “We were honored by our friends and industry peers who came to join in the celebration as well as those who sent best wishes. Sirius XM's Enlighten to host and air album release party for Jim Brady Trio's “A New Chapter”

Hendersonville, TN – January 20, 2015) The Jim Brady Trio will celebrate the release of its debut project with Daywind Records at a CD release party to be held on Tuesday, Jan. 27. The group will hold the invitation-only event that afternoon – which is the actual release date of “A New Chapter” – at Bridgestone Arena’s SiriusXM Music City Theater, which is located in Nashville, Tenn.

“We were so blessed to work with the late Lari Goss on our first project as the Jim Brady Trio,” Jim Brady explains. “Everyone has been so gracious to us as a new artist, especially the Booth Brothers (the award-winning trio that Jim was a member of for the last 13 years). (Oct. 17, 2014) – The debut of the Jim Brady Trio and the Booth Brothers first concert with new group member Paul Lancaster will highlight Legacy Five’s New Year’s Eve Celebration, which will be held at Nashville’s Gaylord Opryland Hotel. Brady has spent the last 12 years as the baritone singer of the award-winning Booth Brothers trio, but he will now be singing with his wife Melissa and former Legacy Five pianist Tim Parton as the Jim Brady Trio debuts on Thursday morning, Jan. 1. New Jim Brady Trio Added To Harper Agency Artist Roster

Goodlettsville, TN – One of Christian music’s leading booking agencies, The Harper Agency, has named the newly organized Jim Brady Trio, as the latest addition to their artist roster. The announcement comes just a few days after popular vocal group, The Booth Brothers shared the news that long-time group member Jim Brady would be leaving the group at the end of the year. “Ronnie and I are saddened to see Jim depart our team,” Michael Booth stated, “yet we are tremendously excited about his future contributions to Gospel Music.”

Since joining The Booth Brothers in 2002, Jim has become a favorite among Southern Gospel Music lovers. Over the past decade Jim, with Ronnie and Michael Booth,  have become one of Gospel Music’s most awarded groups, collectively receiving more than 100 industry honors and accolades. “The last 12 and a half years have meant more to me than words could ever express,” Jim shared. “Ronnie and Michael have truly become brothers to me, and I’ll be forever thankful for the great times spent with them.”

To say that Jim’s time with The Booth Brothers solidified his place at the pinnacle of Gospel Music  would be an understatement; however, Jim possessed a rich musical heritage prior to his arrival with the Brothers. He first began singing with his gifted musical family at the age of five, and by the time he was 16 he began songwriting. Also prior to joining The Booth Brothers, Jim traveled with his wife, Melissa, and her family, The Shulers for nearly a decade. Jim and Melissa merged their songwriting gifts and are now recognized as two of Gospel Music’s most prolific songwriters, having penned more than 200 songs.

Over the years Melissa has faithfully supported her husband’s calling to Gospel Music, and as often as possible the two have had the privilege to sing and minister together. Melissa is a talented vocalist and musician and was featured on the Women of Homecoming Gaither Videos released in 2013.
