About Michael English
In Michael’s autobiography, The Prodigal Comes Home: My Story of Failure and God’s Story of Redemption (Thomas Nelson, Inc), he gives readers an honest look at the painful path that led him away from God and his family, but more importantly, he shows how God, with grace and mercy, rescued Michael and redeemed his shattered life.

"When the lowest thing that could possibly happen happens; don’t give up, because you might be missing a blessing down the road,” says English. "When I started driving my own life, as though God were like some kind of global positioning system that I could choose to follow or ignore, I turned down dead ends and dark alleys, thinking they were going to lead me somewhere.”

In 2009, Michael’s life came full circle as he returned to the Gaither Vocal Band as their lead singer. After a successful five year run with the GVB, Michael felt called to return to a full time solo career at the end of 2013.

Tribute rings in the holiday season with the release of their first Christmas recording

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 17, 2014) – The Tribute Quartet is excited to announce the release of their first Christmas project, “The Thought of Christmas,” for tomorrow Tuesday, November 18, 2014.

Tribute – a male quartet comprised of group manager and lead singer Gary Casto, baritone singer and pianist Josh Singletary, tenor singer Riley Harrison Clark and bass singer Anthony Davis – released its debut project as a Daywind recording artist in August, “Journey of Hope.”

The group’s long-time producer – Roger Talley – was the architect for both “The Thought of Christmas” and “Journey of Hope.”

“I am truly excited about this Christmas project,” emphasizes Casto. “I can honestly say that this could be one of our best projects to date. Once again, teaming up with Roger Talley and working with the staff at Daywind Records has helped Tribute Quartet create a project that we can be proud of for many years to come.”

The group’s first Christmas recording is an 11-song project that includes timeless classics such as “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Jesus, What a Wonderful Child,” “Come On, Ring Those Bells,” “Silent Night,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “Mary Did You Know?”

“I had a great time working with Tribute on this new Christmas project,” explains Talley. “They sang better than I have ever heard them. This project sounds like the Christmas music that I have loved for years, and I am so proud to have been a part of it.”

Tribute joined the Daywind family earlier this year. The group has produced top-charting songs such as “Homecoming Day,” “Homesick Angel” and “Good News from Jerusalem,” a No. 1 song. Tribute’s latest radio release – “I Am a Soldier” – has risen to No. 49 on the Singing News Top 80 Chart for the month of December.

“We have been so excited about the release of ‘Journey of Hope,’ and now, Tribute has followed that up with yet another outstanding project,’” says Daywind president Ed Leonard. “The group continues to hold itself to such a high standard, and the exceptional quality of these top-notch recordings are evidence of that. The response to ‘Journey of Hope’ has been overwhelming so far, and Tribute fans – and the legions of people who love classic Christmas music – are going to adore this project as well.”

Daywind Records is home to an award-winning roster of artists, including Greater Vision, the Nelons, Legacy Five, the Blackwood Brothers, the Bowling Family, Joseph Habedank, the Hoskins Family and Wilburn & Wilburn. Blackwood Brothers Quartet Releases "Forever / 80th Anniversary Recording"

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (November 12, 2014) – As the group celebrates its 80-year anniversary in 2014, the Blackwood Brothers Quartet is releasing its
Forever / 80th Anniversary Recording project on Tuesday, November 18, 2014.

The Blackwood Brothers Quartet is comprised of group manager and baritone singer Billy Blackwood, lead singer Michael Helwig, tenor singer Wayne Little and bass singer Butch Owens.

The “Forever” project consists of seven new songs – penned by writers such as Lee Black, Dave Clark, Marty Funderburk, Sue Smith, Jimmy Taylor and Dianne Wilkinson – and three older songs. The legendary Oak Ridge Boys made a special guest appearance on the song “Long Gone,” which was written by Billy Blackwood, Kenna West and Jason Cox.

“I have never been so excited about the potential of one of our records,” emphasizes Billy Blackwood. “The bottom line is that we have a message and a mandate to share the story of God’s love and His plan for people. We believe these songs are a vehicle to get that message to a greater audience than ever before.”

The Blackwood Brothers worked with two different producers on the project, Ricky Free and Trey Ivey.

“Working with two producers was an interesting approach but was also a great experience,” says Blackwood. “Trey Ivey and Ricky Free are very talented young men who have helped to take us to another level musically. The music is a bit edgier and more radio friendly than past projects, but there is, however, some very traditional Blackwood Brothers-sounding songs as well.”

Free and Ivey produced five songs each on the project.

“I was honored to have been a part of producing this new record for a quartet that has such a long history in Gospel Music,” points out Free. “I hope this new record only expands their already huge fan base.”

Ivey adds, “It was an honor getting to work with the Blackwood Brothers. Billy, Butch, Mike and Wayne are great talents and great men. They do what they do with excellence, and this project is no exception.”

The group has been a part of the Daywind Family since 2009.

“The legacy of the Blackwood Brothers Quartet has long been established in our industry, but the group continues to enhance its expected level of excellence,” explains Daywind president Ed Leonard. “There’s something for every listener contained in this collection as fans get to relive timeless songs performed as only the Blackwood Brothers could while also hearing the current group expand its musical horizons on the ‘Forever’ project.”

Daywind Records is home to an award-winning roster of artists, including the Tribute Quartet, Legacy Five, the Bowling Family, Joseph Habedank, the Nelons, Brian Free & Assurance, Karen Peck and New River, and Wilburn & Wilburn. Daywind is distributed to retail through New Day Christian Distributors, Select-O-Hits, and all major digital outlets, including iTunes. Wilburn And Wilburn Record New Concept Video

Nashville, TN (August 4, 2014) Award winning Gospel duet Wilburn and Wilburn have been in Nashville, TN lately recording a brand new concept video. The featured song for this video “Help Me” is from their latest recording 'Here Comes Sunday'.

Being one of the most innovative groups in Gospel music this Father and Son duo, along with Daywind Records, have slated the video for release at NQC 2014 . Unlike the huge Country hit “Help Me” by the Larry Gatlin, this cut of the same title, isn't asking God to “help me”, but rather asking God to “help me help someone else”.
Scott Godsey of Daywind Records said “The message of this song is perfect for ministering as a concept video.

Adding to the message, the location high atop the L&C Building in Nashville this video is set to touch the heart of everyone who sees it.”

Jordan Wilburn stated "This was one of the greatest experiences of my young music career! DAD asked me if I was scared of heights on our way to the video location. I had no idea what he had up his sleeve".
Jonathan Wilburn continued saying " As far as I can remember when traveling through Nashville , we would see the big L&C building. I never knew I would be that close to it.”

The song "Help me Help Someone" written by prolific song writer Jimmy Yeary, along with Cletus T. Judd and Gary LeVox, has already had an impact in Wilburn and Wilburn services and concerts. “Help Me” is really a prayer asking God to help us have the strength and desire to help those that are in need.
“In need of Jesus, Love, Compassion and Mercy. We are the vehicle of these things.” Jonathan states, “We hope this video will help us encourage and promote helping those that need Gods love to be real in their lives.”

The L&C Office Building Complex consists of a 31-story office Tower and an adjoining 9-story Annex building. The Tower was constructed in 1957 as the headquarters for Life & Casualty Insurance Company. It was the tallest structure in Nashville and the South for decades. The Tower quickly became a Nashville landmark with its height and distinctive neon logo. The Annex was built in 1925 as the original headquarters for Life & Casualty.

Southern Gospel Music Executive, Norman Holland, Passes Away

Hendersonville, TN (March 11, 2014) - Beloved Southern Gospel music executive Norman Holland passed away on Monday, March 10th, 2014, due to heart failure.

Norman began his Gospel music career in radio promotions at the Benson Company in 1980, and through the years became a catalyst in the careers of such legendary artists as the Cathedral Quartet, the Speer Family, the Kingsmen Quartet, J.D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet, Gold City, Jeff and Sheri Easter, and Greater Vision. Later, Holland headed the A&R department for Chapel Records (now Spring Hill) where he worked on the Gaither Homecoming Series and helped launch the careers of Brian Free and Assurance and the Martins.

For the past 16 years, Holland served artists as Vice President of A&R at Daywind Records where he built one of the top labels in the genre by guiding the careers of Greater Vision, the Perrys, Legacy Five, the Booth Brothers, Brian Free and Assurance, the Nelons, Karen Peck and New River, the Mark Trammell Quartet, Mark Lowry, Sisters, Barbara Fairchild, and many more. In recognition of his tremendous impact on Southern Gospel music during his career, Holland received a lifetime achievement award from the Southern Gospel Music Guild in 2012.

Greater than all of his accomplishments in a 35-year career, Holland will be best remembered as a friend to artists. “There may never be another who cares for artists like Norman cared,” shared Ed Leonard, President of Daywind Records. “He was loved by all. This is a heartbreaking loss for all of us who loved Norman, but a tremendous gain for heaven above.” Added Dottie Leonard-Miller, founder and CEO of Daywind, “the wonderful memories of working and sharing life with Norman for 16 years are precious. I will cherish them as I cherished him.”

Speaking on behalf of the many artists Norman Holland touched with his grace, compassion, and love, Gerald Wolfe of Greater Vision said, “Norman and I had a great working relationship for 27 years, but more importantly, he was one of my closest friends. His laughter was contagious, and his larger-than-life, magnetic personality always lit up any room he was in. Gospel Music has lost one of its most innovative and influential behind-the-scenes personalities. I have lost a friend. But not for long. I know where he is.”

Funeral services for Norman will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 15th, 2014, with visitation taking place from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. that day. The funeral and visitation will take place at Sorrell’s Funeral Home, 2744 W Magnolia Ave, Geneva, Alabama, 36340, Phone:(334) 684-9999. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Norman Holland Memorial Fund c/o Norman’s sister, Edith Brown, 1209 Glenwood Street, Dothan, Alabama, 36301. The balance of the fund after funeral expenses will be donated to the Gospel Music Trust Fund.

There will be a memorial service in honor of Norman held in Nashville within the next month.

About The Hoskins Family

God, who is the giver of all gifts and abilities, equips individuals with talent and places within them the desire to use that talent for him. Through prayer, trusting God and obedience to His will, those desires are fulfilled and the results are immeasurable. Abby, Angie, Reva, Rick and Ricky, collectively known as the Hoskins Family, are seeing those results as God takes their ministry to new heights every day.
The Hoskins Family is made up of Angie (Hoskins) Aldridge, Reva Hoskins, Abby Aldridge, Ricky Hoskins and Rick Smith.

The Hoskins Family’s first top 40 song, taken from the project of the same name, was a special one to their family. “Mission Of Love” was written by Angie (Hoskins) Aldridge for her grandfather, who was also her pastor. In fact Ricky, Reva and Angie’s ministry was solely committed to their home church until Reva’s father’s retirement from pastoral ministry. It was then that The Hoskins Family felt God called them to a different venture.
“Help Me Stand,” The Hoskins Family’s follow-up single to “Mission Of Love” proved to be their first top 20 hit, reassuring them that they were headed in the right direction. Within 1 1⁄2 years The Hoskins Family had their first top 5 hit with “Joyful Morning,” from their “Hope” project. This was followed by the top 10 hit “I Wouldn’t Trade One Minute Of It.”
“Safe Thus Far” just might be the definitive recording that all their others are compared to. The Daywind project contains songs from some of today’s premier writers and is definitely a “Must Have” album. The first release from this album proved to be their first #1 song. This album was nominated for six Dove Awards.

About The Browders
From their beginning traveling together as a family in a Dodge Omni car, to a successful music ministry with national hits, The Browders of Hiltons, Virginia are one of the most exciting groups to step on stage in many years. This family group consists of Tommy Browder, his sons, Matthew and David, and Matthew’s wife, Sonya. They travel year round, keeping a full concert schedule as well as holding revivals across the country. One of their most captivating qualities is that The Browders play much of their music live with Tommy on acoustic lead, David on bass, Matthew on rhythm guitar and Sonya on piano. They also write most of their own music.
In recent years, they have been steadily expanding and improving their ministry for the glory of God. They have enjoyed Singing News charting success with original songs like “Stand Up For Jesus” (peaked at #7, in top 20 songs of the year), “Waitin’ On My Change” (#14) and many others. With the release of their highly-anticipated, “The Message” recording came a milestone—their first #1 radio single, “Message of the Cross”. They are currently performing songs from that recording as well as their hits and most-requested songs.

Though things change throughout the years, their mission has remained the same—to bring hope to a lost and dying world and to encourage and challenge believers. They’re real and they’re anointed. We hope that in the near future you are able to attend or host a Browders’ concert to experience how God is working through this team.
