Nashville, Tenn. (May 5, 2015) - World-renowned guitarist Ry Cooder, country music songbird Sharon White and country and bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs are combining forces for a national road show.
Today, the three music vets announced the "Cooder-White-Skaggs" tour, their maiden voyage as a musical trio. The tour kicks off in Salt Lake City this June and will continue with scheduled performances in Denver, Milwaukee, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, New York City and more.
"Getting to work with Ry Cooder has been a dream of mine for a long time. He is a world-class musician," notes Skaggs. "We met at a GRAMMY Awards show many years ago and thought it would be a blast to do something together sometime, and now we're getting to create new sounds around old music. But the best part is getting to share the stage every night with my wife and sweetheart Sharon White. My heart is full!"
In a most exceptional pairing, master multi-instrumentalists Cooder and Skaggs will come together on stage to deliver a revelatory program of blues, gospel, and bluegrass music. "I always love singing and playing music with Ricky... he's just my favorite in every way!" says White. "And we are both so excited to be doing shows this year with Ry Cooder. What an incredible artist! He is truly a 'one-of-a-kind' musician! Ricky and I share Ry's love for traditional country, bluegrass, and old-time gospel music. He is passionate about doing music that is authentic and real. It's infectious!"
"'Cooder-White-Skaggs' is the legacy express, or I'll eat a bug," quips Cooder. "You are going to hear four-part singing from the heart, the finest and best instrumental activity in the land, songs you know and love and to top it off, the indomitable Buck White on piano who will turn your money green. Now who's happy? That's the way we're gonna stay so knock on wood!"

Shannon Smith, who sings lead on “Forgive Myself”, stated that “When we perform this song people are obviously moved by it – you can almost see a healing take place. Upon hearing the demo, I felt immediately that this song would have a tremendous ministry impact and who better to perform this then the talented group, Three Bridges. A video was a natural outgrowth. GRAMMY®-Nominated Family Group Jeff & Sheri Easter Release New Music with Eyes Wide Open
Gospel Music Mainstays Hit the Airwaves to Support New Recording, Celebrate Award and Announce Upcoming 2nd Annual Paint Your Town Pink Campaign
NASHVILLE, Tenn.–September 21, 2012—Multiple award-winning and GRAMMY®-nominated Jeff & Sheri Easter, of Lincolnton, GA, have just released an all-new studio recording. Eyes Wide Open (Spring Hill Music Group) was produced by Jeff and Sheri Easter, veteran producer Greg Cole and Jeff & Sheri’s son, Madison Easter, who made his debut as a co-producer with the new release.
Eyes Wide Open incorporates the country-styled Gospel harmonies and hints of bluegrass for which the group has been known since its inception and celebrates their family heritage, both past and present. Sheri re-recorded a classic Mahalia Jackson ballad “Standing Here Wondering” that her mother, Polly Lewis Copsey, a member of the legendary Lewis Family, recorded during her lauded career. In turn, Sheri’s daughter Morgan paid homage to Sheri on the new, down-home recording with a re-make of Sheri’s noted ballad “I Wonder If He Ever Cries.”
Keeping things “all in the family,” Jeff performed the tune “I Won’t Have to Worry Anymore,” which is the first radio single from the new release, with a guest vocal from his father, James Easter, a member of the classic Gospel bluegrass group The Easter Brothers. James, who is now 80 years old, also joined the group for a special performance of the song on the main stage at the 2012 National Quartet Convention (NQC).
“Daddy played ‘I Won’t Have to Worry Anymore’ to Mama shortly before she left her tired, broken body here to live in her new one in heaven,” explained Jeff. “I wanted him to join me in recording this song for the release. It has always meant a great deal, but now this song has even a greater meaning to both of us.”
Other song titles on Eyes Wide Open include “Love Is,” “Anything But Happy,” “It Must Have Been You,” “Sitting on Top of the World,” “I’ll Take It,” “A Little Bit of Sunshine,” “A Good Old Gospel Song” and “There Is a Purpose.”
The family ties continue on the new recording as Sheri and Madison Easter co-wrote their first song together–“I Know How It Feels to Survive,” which commemorates Sheri’s victory over breast cancer, a topic about which Sheri remains passionate and active.
“There is nothing like living with eyes wide open,” described Sheri, who is now a four-year cancer survivor. “There is nothing like living with perspective and being able to always see the good in every moment of life. I am thankful that I had a wonderful support system of my family and all our wonderful friends throughout the country and the world. I know all our fans can help make a difference in the lives of others who are facing breast cancer.”
Those fans will have a chance to do just that with Jeff & Sheri’s upcoming 2nd Annual Paint Your Town Pink Campaign. For all of their concerts during the month of October, in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, they are asking everyone to wear pink to create awareness for breast cancer. The group will also be wearing pink nightly, and a portion of their concerts will honor cancer survivors and recognize local cancer care clubs in efforts to raise funds for these organizations.
Eyes Wide Open, distributed exclusively by EMI CMG Distribution, is available now at retail stores and online stores everywhere. The release comes on the heels of Sheri being honored by fans as the 2012 Alto Singer of the Year at last week’s NQC Awards in Louisville, Ky.
The group premiered songs from the new recording recently on “The Grand Ole Opry,” at the National Quartet Convention, during a LIVE listening party on air at WGUS in Augusta, Ga. and also through an in-depth interview on the Solid Gospel Radio Network.

Sheri Easter To Release Book, Hear My Heart: When There Are No Words To Say, September 10, 2011

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (September 7, 2011) – GRAMMY® nominee and award-winning female vocalist Sheri Easter (Jeff & Sheri Easter) is set to release Hear My Heart: When There Are No Words To Say, a collection of her writings over the years, through Xulon Press on September 10, 2011.
As a wife, mother, singer and songwriter, Easter has always been one to chronicle her life with pen and paper, capturing significant moments both good and bad. While fighting a now victorious battle with breast cancer over the past few years, her journaling became even more precious to her as well as therapeutic. Currently celebrating 25 years of marriage and a life full of triumphs and tragedies, Easter decided it was time to share some of her life experiences and lessons through this intimate release.
"Sometimes in life, words seem superficial, shallow and empty" says Easter. "We struggle to put our feelings into sentences that convey an honest representation of the heart. With this book, I’ve opened my heart, shared private journal entries, favorite quotes, blogs and stories to offer inspiration and passion to the reader."
Hear My Heart: When There Are No Words to Say will be available at digital retailers, in select bookstores and at all Jeff & Sheri Easter tour dates. Pre-orders are being accepted now, and all books sold through JeffAndSheriEaster.com will be autographed.

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound Come to Steelville

ERNIE HAASE & SIGNATURE SOUND QUARTET COMING TO
MERAMEC MUSIC THEATRE THURSDAY NIGHT, JUNE 23
Combining 21st century ideas with the timeless quality of great quartets from the 1950s, Grammy-nominated Ernie Haase & Signature Sound has broken the traditional mold of gospel quartets. Their unconventional approach to communicating the Good News with groundbreaking originality has blazed a trail that will go down in gospel music history.
The group’s founder and leader, Ernie Haase, was a long-time member of the famous Cathedral Quartet, headed by the late George Younce. Ernie’s roots are deeply planted in the rich legacy of music that is both meaningful and thoroughly entertaining. After the Cathedrals bid farewell to their five-decade run in the music industry, Ernie’s passion for gospel music led him to a new beginning.
In 2003, he gathered a group of like-minded men who share his love for God, great harmonies, time-honored songs and energetic performances…and together, they have become one of the most influential forces in southern gospel music. Inspired by their heroes, loved by their audiences and blessed by the Lord beyond their dreams. Ernie (tenor), Devin McGlamery (lead), Doug Anderson (baritone), and Ian Owens (bass) perform more than 100 solo shows yearly in North America and abroad.
The groups first DVD release soared to the top of Billboard Magazine’s Music Video Chart and simultaneously topped the Contemporary Christian Music Video Chart. That same DVD achieved Gold sales status, and the project’s accompanying audio release topped both the CCM and Southern Gospel Audio Charts simultaneously at No. 1.
In 2008, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound won Gospel Music Association Dove Awards for Southern Gospel Recording Song of the Year and Southern Gospel Album of the Year for “Get Away Jordan.” The “Jordan” album has also been certified Gold. In 2009, they won another Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year Dove Award for “Reason Enough” from their “Dream On” album.
Released in the fall of 2008, the “Dream On” DVD debuted at No. 1 on the Contemporary Christian Music Video Chart and at No. 3 on the Billboard Music Video Chart. The “Dream On” CD launched at No. 1 on the Southern Gospel Music Chart. “Dream On” was nominated for a 2010 Grammy in the category of “Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album.”
Ernie Haase & Signature Sound’ success continues with each new release, but perhaps their most rewarding achievement is the new generation of gospel music lovers emerging across the globe. The group’s contagious energy spreads through entertaining performances packed with truth and overflowing with a joyful spirit of gratitude…bringing listeners around the world their refreshing approach to gospel classics and new material that is uniquely Signature Sound.
They travel with a pianist, drummer and two guitar players. Don’t miss this exciting group of guys coming to Meramec Music Theatre, Thursday evening, June 23 at 7:00 P.M. Call 573-775-5999 for tickets in advance. They will be performing a Cathedrals Influenced concert.

Beyond The Ashes Appears On The Grand Ole Opry Stage During CMA Week

Nashville, TN (June 15, 2011) – Dynamic vocal trio, Beyond The Ashes, appeared on the Grand Ole Opry Stage this past Sunday, June 12th, 2011, during CMA Week, in Nashville, TN. The award-winning trio was a hit with Opry stars and fans alike.
They appeared as a part of a great line up of artists on the 32nd Annual "Sunday Mornin' Country" at the Grand Ole Opry. Their performance was stellar and had the audience and the other participants buzzing about their incredible talent. Some of the others who shared the stage with Beyond The Ashes that day were Linda Davis, Marty Raybon, Roy Clark, George Hamilton IV, Lulu Roman, T. Graham Brown, and others.
Grammy winning vocalist and co-host for the event, Linda Davis, summed up her feelings and the experience of those around her this way. "The Saturday rehearsal for Sunday Morning Country was held in the Nashville Musicians Union. Those present when the boys of Beyond The Ashes arrived were myself, a few production people, the 7 piece band, and 3 background vocalists. We all had a lot going on. It was 9:00am and, at a casual rehearsal like this, most artists just go through the motions so they can get in and out and move on with their day.” Davis continued, “Normally the band reads the chart, plays the tune, and gears up for the next act. Well, not this particular morning! When Beyond the Ashes stepped up to their mics the preoccupied MCCF worker bees, as well as the musicians, totally stopped in their tracks! The guys sang "Peace in the Valley" as if they were in front of 20,000 people. We were so moved by their performance. The Holy Spirit was all over that little room and everyone there knew it. The next day, on the Opry stage, their actual show was flawless! The crowd at the Grand Ole Opry House felt the spirit there, as well. I was just lucky enough to get a
little taste of what it'll sound like in heaven...two days in a row!"
Appearing along with Beyond The Ashes were Marty Raybon, Roy Clark, George Hamilton IV, Lulu Roman, T. Graham Brown, Linda Davis and others.
