THE HAGEES’ "CHRISTMAS" HERALDS RENOWNED GROUP’S HOLIDAY DEBUT

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—"Christmas", the holiday debut from one of Gospel music’s most renowned family groups, The Hagees, is now available from Difference Media/Capitol Christian Distribution.
Produced by Michael Sykes (Oak Ridge Boys, Gaither Vocal Band) and Aaron Crabb (Aaron & Amanda Crabb, Canton Junction), Christmas is comprised of 13 sacred, nostalgic and original selections, including “Silent Night,” “O Little Town of Bethlehem,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” and “The Christmas Song,” among others.
The project’s debut single, “Glory To God,” is an original track penned by Pastor Matthew Hagee and Aaron Wilburn. Inspired by the angels’ proclamation of the birth of Christ to the shepherds, the song represents a timeless theme The Hagees reflect throughout the album.
“The first Christmas morning in Bethlehem’s manger was the birth of Hope itself for a world enslaved by the power of sin,” says Pastor Matthew Hagee. “The birth of Jesus Christ brought spiritual and civil liberty to all the world.”
A highlight of Christmas is The Hagees’ rendition of the timeless classic “O Holy Night,” featuring group founder and family patriarch Pastor John Hagee. “Having the opportunity to sing anything with him becomes a moment, because my father grew up singing with his parents,” adds Pastor Matthew Hagee.
Christmas also includes the modern favorite “A Baby Changes Everything,” sung by Sandy Parker. “I was actually pregnant and nobody knew but my husband and me,” Parker shares of her first performance of the song several years ago. “It was super emotional for me, and as a result, when I sang it, I had that breaking moment where you don’t know if you’re singing or crying.”
In promotion of Christmas, Pastor John Hagee will be featured Thanksgiving Day on “The Mike Huckabee Show,” broadcast on more than 200 radio stations in 44 states via Cumulus Media Networks. Hagee’s interview is slated to air at approximately 2:30 pm ET.
Comprised of Pastor John Hagee, his son Pastor Matthew Hagee, and daughters Sandy Parker and Tina Ketterling, The Hagees’ storied Southern Gospel career has spanned more than two decades, boasting multiple acclaimed recordings and appearances around the globe.
A world-renowned evangelist and best-selling author, Pastor John Hagee is founder and senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas. A non-denominational evangelical church with more than 20,000 active members, Cornerstone is home to John Hagee Ministries, which telecasts Pastor Hagee’s radio and television teachings throughout America and to 245 countries around the globe. The ministry also operates GETV, a 24/7 online television and video on-demand broadcast of sermons and original programming (getv.org).

Difference Media, a division of Cornerstone Church, features some of the leading names in Gospel music, including Aaron & Amanda Crabb, Canton Junction, Matthew Hagee, Tim Duncan, The Cornerstone Sanctuary Choir, John Hagee and The Hagees.

INTERNATIONAL COMIC STRIP, NANCY, SPOTLIGHTS GRAMMY AWARD WINNER JASON CRABB IN UPCOMING EDITION

Nashville, TN – GRAMMY and DOVE award winner Jason Crabb is headed to the “funny papers.” Famed illustrator and writer of the NANCY daily comic strip, Guy Gilchrist, has chosen to highlight the lauded vocalist in an upcoming story arc. The strip is syndicated internationally in 80 countries, and viewed by 57 million readers around the world. Such will be the case in the Tuesday, December 3 edition of NANCY when Jason Crabb will be highlighted.

Gilchrist, who resides in the Nashville area, has embedded his love for music within the strip, honoring artists such as Elvis, The Beatles, Charlie Daniels, Rascal Flatts, Patti Page, George Jones, Don McLean, and many more. A collection of these music-related strips were donated to the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum. They are currently on display as part of the larger, ongoing exhibit, “Nancy Loves Nashville,” at the Nashville International Airport, which will run through 2015. ICM Vans Meet Tearful Victims of Typhoon

Typhoon Haiyan was the strongest typhoon to have ever made landfall. 13 million people are affected and over a million people have had their houses damaged. We have all seen images of Tacloban on the news. It’s like nothing the Philippines has ever experienced. But there are large parts of the country with similarly catastrophic damage where the media has not reported. ICM works in many of these areas. We see heroic recovery efforts by locals in many communities, but others continue to struggle. The typhoon took the life of an ICM kindergarten student and also robbed another of her brother.

Here’s a video update from my trip to the Philippines last week - http://vimeo.com/79643295.

Our response is to bring both immediate and long-term aid to our affected communities. We deliver food, water and medicine, as well as programs that help families to rebuild and permanently improve their lives. For more information on ICM’s Disaster Fund visit www.caremin.com/our-work/disaster-fund.

ICM’s longstanding relationship with 5,000 pastors in remote communities across the country means that we are uniquely positioned to offer targeted, tailored solutions to thousands of families. Trusted local pastors inform ICM of the families in their communities with the most desperate need. When ICM arrives with disaster supplies, we don’t just pass out food to those who happen to be nearby. Instead, we come with the names of the families who are most at-risk in the community to deliver the specific aid they need. We make sure that none of the most desperate is overlooked. ICM’s network is an amazing web of people who are ready to serve. They are having tremendous pinpointed impact. And it is paying off. Yesterday we heard that many of the ICM delivery vans were met by tearful families in remote communities, grateful for their first nutrition in a week.

ICM has already distributed hundreds of thousands of meals on the ground to people in need. ICM is also a great resource to other charities because we have food that is pre-positioned in the provinces – we are not waiting on shipments to arrive from overseas. From our inventory we have already given more than 1.4 million meals to partner NGOs who are primarily focused on Tacloban/Samar/Leyte (626,000 meals), Cebu (551,000 meals) and Panay (264,000 meals). And more is on its way.

The typhoon was an incredible disaster. But it was just one more disaster in a series of disasters faced by the ultrapoor. So far, there are over 4,000 confirmed deaths from the typhoon. In “normal” times, however, our best estimates are that 2,300 poor Filipino children die every month. Month after month. Year after year.

The real catastrophe in these communities is ongoing poverty. Millions of children live in conditions that no human being should endure. Everyday they face a lack of clean water, limited food, no sanitation. ICM is focused on long-term solutions to poverty.

The world has a short attention span. Five weeks ago there was a massive earthquake in Bohol that left 300,000 people without shelter. Aid agencies poured in. But now despite the ongoing needs in Bohol, the aid agencies are pulling out to focus on the typhoon.

At ICM we were operating in hundreds of communities in Bohol before, during and after the earthquake. We are staying because we know that needs persist.

In the same way, we were helping the poor in community after community in Negros and Panay in the years before the typhoon. We have now lived through the typhoon with them. And we will be with our ultrapoor friends in these areas as they reconstruct their lives for years to come.

The problems of poverty are haunting. But we can genuinely make a difference. ICM has established a fund to support those afflicted by these natural disasters. Please give to support Filipinos rebuilding their lives today. www.caremin.com/our-work/disaster-fund

David Sutherland

AMERICAN IDOL'S SCOTT MACINTYRE RELEASES CHRISTMAS IN PARIS

Project Mixes Christmas Classics With New Hits, Available Now
Nashville, TN – Just in time for trimming the tree and enjoying Thanksgiving dinner, Scott MacIntyre (American Idol Season 8) has released his very first full-length Christmas project, Christmas In Paris. The release is now available and Scott is excited for everyone to hear the music. "Christmas is my favorite time of the year," says Scott. "Sometimes I find myself humming Christmas carols all year round."

The twelve track release features holiday classics alongside two new Christmas compositions and serves as a perfect soundtrack to the holidays performed by one of America's favorite talents. Scott comments: "Being blind, I experience Christmas in a very unique way. Growing up, the sounds and smells are what I remember most… I loved waking up to the smell of fresh pine needles, the taste of hot apple cider, and the sound of old Christmas carols on the radio.”

Among the classics are "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," "Let It Snow," "O Holy Night," "O Come All Ye Faithful," and many more. I’ve taken some of my favorite Christmas classics and offered a new and unique interpretation of them," says Scott. "Beyond that, I’ve always been somewhat of a romantic at heart, and the holidays have a way of bringing you closer to those you love.”

The title cut, radio single and new composition, "Christmas In Paris," written with Aaron Steenhoven and Ryan Hydro, brings out that romantic side of Scott and Christmas. MacIntyre comments: "I love Paris - the smells, the sounds, the feel - and I remember so many vivid memories of my times there. I really wanted to paint an enchanting yet intimate picture of Christmas that people would never forget, and I think we were able to really capture the romantic side of the holidays in a fresh way with this song. It was one of those magical writing sessions where you can just feel something extraordinary was happening." "Christmas Angel," which garnered critical acclaim and became a top holiday radio single in 2010, is also featured on the project.

Christmas In Paris is available on iTunes and all other digital music platforms.

Ernie Haase: My Life Was Changed By A Baby Boy

My Life Was Changed By A Baby Boy
Christmas is all about Christ and children. It is about love and giving. It is about making memories and putting them in your heart to treasure forever.

Recently, my Dad (Ray Haase) and I sat down and chatted man-to-man. It’s never been hard to chat about work, sports, the Bible or politics, but this chat was different; it was special. Alone together I shared from my heart about how much he meant to me. I reflected on his work ethic and the sacrifices he made for the whole family. I told Him I was about to record a Christmas video and that if he wanted me to sing a favorite song, I’d be happy to do that for him and for Mom.

Pop is a tough man. He still gets up at 4 a.m., hits the gym and then is the first to work. So, for him to be “soft” took me by surprise. He said, “Sing My Life Was Changed By A Baby Boy. I love that song.” He looked down and paused a bit then looked at me with a tear in his eye and said, “You know, my life was changed by a baby boy. You, Ernie.” He went on to tell me a story that I had never heard. He said, “I was a young and wild 18-year-old kid the day you were born. When I walked into that room and saw you for the first time, you looked right at me and smiled Ernie. I knew then and there I had to grow up. I told your Momma that I was going to stop the things I was doing and start going to church and be a Dad to you. So, Ernie, I did give my life to Jesus, but my life was literally changed by a baby boy…YOU!”

One of the greatest father-and-son moments EVER! No baseball game or church function could ever replace the holiness of that moment. Later that month, as we recorded the video, I thought back to that time when Pop and I shared our hearts. He and Mom were there on the front row wiping tears all night long. I’m a blessed son.

This Christmas season, and all year long, take time to be with the ones who matter most. Share your heart. Show your bruises and share your story. Let people close to you know that they matter. Christmas is about sharing. Thank God for the gift of life that is ours in Jesus. I think the Father in heaven smiles when His children get along in fellowship and love. And that special day, when I heard my earthly father tell me his life was changed by a baby boy, I can’t help but believe my Heavenly Father smiled and said, “Now that’s what it’s all about.”

Ernie

P.S. Here's a sweet shot of my Dad and I from way back in 1968 ....

Moneta, VA (November 25, 2013) The Mark Dubbeld Family is pleased to announce the release of the second childrens missionary book written by Janene Dubbeld, entitled, “Adventure with Jesus”. This is the true account of Mary Esther Hermiz, who gave her life in missionary service.

About Channing Eleton
For 4 1/2 years, he toured extensively with Poet Voices playing concerts from Delaware to California and from Canada to the Caribean. This led to so many great things for Eleton. He gained valuable experience while on the road, making many, many new friends.

Channing married his sweetheart, Christina Fleming, whom he’d met two years prior at a Poet Voices concert. Channing continues, “I know when I’m up on that stage, she’s praying for me. Words can’t even begin to describe how I feel. I am blessed more than I deserve. I’m so thankful!”

March 23, 2000 finds Eleton joining Gospel music super-group, Gold City. For the next six years, he tours as part Gold City’s ‘Band Of Gold’. In September of that year, Gold City’s band with Eleton, won The Singing News Fan Award for ‘BAND OF THE YEAR’. In May of 2001, the Southern Gospel Music Association named Channing Eleton as its ‘Musician Of The Year’. “I take great pride in this honor because it was voted on and awarded to me by my peers.” October of 2005, Channing resigned his position as Gold City’s keyboardist. Channing reflects, “I’ll always be thankful for my days spent with Gold City”.

Channing says “The older I get, the more I realize that God uses the different seasons of our lives to prepare for us what’s to come. I have learned to keep looking ahead. Keep plowing forward, while enjoying the present and living each day to its fullest.”

"In the Heat of the Night" “Christmas Time’s A Comin’” CD now available for download

Historic Christmas CD comes to Itunes and Amazon.com for charity

NBC network stars, country and bluegrass Hall of Famers joined their voices for drug abuse prevention on a project that created the first major bluegrass collaboration featuring numerous legendary performers with a TV show cast.
"In the Heat of the Night" stars Alan Autry, “Bubba Skinner,” and Randall Franks, “Officer Randy Goode,” organized the effort under Autry-Franks Productions bringing together the cast and numerous stars of country, bluegrass and gospel music to assist.
Autry and Franks just released “Christmas Time’s A Comin’” CD on Itunes and Amazon.com still focusing on its original purpose.
“Last year we heard from many Heat fans who were really pleased that we once again made the actual CD available,” Franks said. “Folks can still hold a piece of the show’s history in their hands by getting the CD including photos of the cast and of the historic recording sessions. About The Freemans
History, experience and spiritual wisdom are three attributes that can be used to describe the foundation of the Freeman ministry. Deeply rooted with family, the Freemans experience spans 30+ years. From Darrell’s entrance at age 16 with his family’s group, the Pathways, to Chris’s award-winning teenage years with the Hinsons, the Freemans know the ins and outs of Southern Gospel music.

No doubt, Chris’s unique sound is the reason she was the youngest female artist ever to receive the coveted “Queen of Gospel Music” award two years in a row (’76, ’77) as voted by the readers of Singing News Magazine. In 1980, the lives of Darrel and Chris Freeman became one when they married on August 2nd. After singing with the Pathways for three years Darrell and Chris headed for Nashville and began the Freemans. Joe Freeman, Darrell’s cousin, soon joined them as the third part harmony, as well as their keyboard player. With this sound they have garnered tremendous growth and success.

In 1997, Darrell and Chris’s daughter, Misty, began playing acoustic guitar with the group on stage. Then in 1998, she began singing with them when they recorded Standing Out. Also on stage is Caylon Freeman, Darrell and Chris’s youngest child. He decided to join his family on the road full-time in 2002. He is now playing the drums and singing some with the group.

Now in their 20th year, the Freemans, still do approximately 250 dates a year, and continue to experience tremendous success.

About Jim Sheldon
After serving many years as music minster, there was a void yet filled. In 1994, joined my first gospel quartet. Immediately, I knew singing gospel music was God's true calling for my life. He confirmed this with a paraphrase of Proverbs 3:6 - "In everything you do put God first, He will direct and crown your efforts with success."

My greatest inspiration came from Glenn Payne. The Cathedrals sang at my church in Virginia. He told me:"Vocalize daily and never sing out of your range. Remember, God gave you the ability and desire. Honor Him with a servant's heart."
Now God says it's time to tell my story of how God has brought me out from a long 'wilderness time' of sin, shame and disgrace to where I am today.

Songwriter Jimmy Yeary Scores Big With CMA Song of the Year – “I Drive Your Truck”

Nashville, TN (November 14, 2013) “I Drive Your Truck” written by Jimmy Yeary, Jessi Alexander, and Connie Harrington walked away with the Country Music Association Song of the Year Award at the 47th ANNUAL CMA AWARDS. The Awards aired live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on ABC-TV on Wednesday, November 6th.
The Number One song on the Country charts was recorded by Lee Brice and quickly swept the country off it's feet with the touching story. Yeary commented “The story behind this song is so powerful and connects with everyday people's lives and the losses we all endure. This song speaks to everyone”. Jimmy continued “Without the sacrifice of people like Jared Monti, whom this song was written about, none of this would be possible. I am honored that I had a part in the world getting to hear his story.”

Many great songs have co-writers and Jimmy acknowledges Jessi Alexander and Connie Harrington saying “I can't think of any two people I'd rather share this Award with.”

Jimmy was also a co-writer on the Martina McBride super hit “I'm Gonna Love You Through It” (Jimmy Yeary, Sonya Isaacs Yeary, Ben Heyslip), Rascal Flats big song “Why Wait” (Jimmy Yeary, Neil Thrasher, Tom Shapiro) and with his wife Sonya Isaacs Yeary's inspiration the Heidi Newfield's release of “Stay Up Late” (Jimmy Yeary, Sonya Isaacs Yeary, Ben Hayslip).

James and Jeff Easter: Like Father, Like Son

Like Father, Like Son joins James Easter of the legendary Easter Brothers with his son Jeff, of the Dove Award winning duo Jeff & Sheri Easter for a special recorded event. The result is an album that tells the story of the timeless relationships between both an earthly father and son, all the while reminding us of our important relationship with our Heavenly Father and the gift He gave us in His Son.
Jeff tells us why this album and why now: “I’ve always said my dad is my favorite singer of all and now it is great that I get to honor his voice. He is 81 years old and he is still my inspiration. The things I’ve learned from him growing up still keeps me grounded. I love you, Daddy!”
Sheri Easter wrote the title track in honor of James and Jeff, and co-wrote other songs for the album. “I’m grateful that Jeff had the vision to do this project and for the help that Sheri has been to Jeff,” James shares.
He adds: “One of my favorite scriptures is Romans 8:38-39 where we’re promised that nothing can separate us from the love of God. I am thankful for this promise in my life and in the lives of my children.”
The father/son theme resonated with a couple of Jeff’s friends, who he invited to join him. Jonathan and Jordan Wilburn join on the first single, “Way Up On The Mountain,” and Gerald and Jason Crabb sing the Paul Overstreet/Don Schlitz song “I’ve Got No Rocks to Throw.”
Like Father, Like Son released on November 5 and is available atCrossroads, iTunes, and AmazonMP3.

Wayne Haun orchestrates for Celine Dion's latest release

NASHVILLE, TN (November 7, 2013) - Add Celine Dion's name to an ever-growing list of artists who call on Wayne Haun for his arranging expertise.

iTunes acknowledges that Celine Dion became a bestselling artist based on her "emotional, lushly orchestrated pop ballads," so even the low-key Haun will admit that orchestrating two songs on her newly-released recording, "Loved Me Back to Life," is an accomplishment for which he is grateful.

Jessica Simpson, Rayburn, J. Mark McVey, and Earl Scruggs are just a sampling of other
mainstream artists who have hired Haun, but in typical fashion, he shows appreciation for those who have opened the door to make such opportunities possible. "I really need to thank producers Tricky Stewart and especially Aaron Pearce for asking me to play a small role in their stellar production. Aaron has always been a great collaborator and friend."

In an already gratifying year, the 4-time Grammy nominee and 3-time BMI Music
Award winner recently garnered attention as he released his debut jazz vocal recording through StowTown Records and Provident/Sony Distribution. With fresh interpretations of timeless love songs and classic Broadway tunes, Wayne Haun's "Old Soul" CD took the number one spot on the iTunes Jazz chart for two days -- a chart that included Harry Connick, Jr., and Dave Koz. In all, the project remained in the iTunes Jazz Top 10 for a full week.

Haun also continues to be thankful for the support of the GMA/Dove Award voters, as
2013 added 4 more honors to his total. This year, his name was called for both producing (Jason Crabb's "Inspirational Album of the Year" and "Southern Gospel Performance of the Year") and songwriting ("Bluegrass Recorded Song" and "Country Recorded Song").

As co-founder and co-owner of StowTown Records, Vine Records, and Sunset Gallery
Music, the East Tennessee native continues to write and arrange as a staff songwriter for Lillenas, while touring full-time as the musical director for Ernie Haase and Signature Sound.

About StowTown Records

Give Thanks Today!

Fall in Southern Ontario: watch the sun light up the reds and golds of the leaves in the trees; smell the tangy sent of burning leaves; feel the nip in the air as frost touches the land. Though it portends a cold, desolate winter, the season itself is bright and beautiful as nature splashes her paintbrush once more before slipping it under a blanket of snow.

I let the loveliness of the season wash over me and it helps to break the cycle of the rush of work, the duties of the day, and the cares of life. If you are like me, you need the special season of Thanksgiving as a reminder to stop and be thankful. In everything, we are to give thanks. As I hear the squeal of my brakes, I thank the Lord that car bills mean I have transportation to work. The sound of the rain on the rafters reminds me that I have a roof over my head and means to pay for that roof. I may have paperwork piled up on my desk at work, but I have a meaningful job that gives me a reason to step out of my door every morning.

So often in the Old Testament, we are told to give thanks to God, for ‘His love endures forever’. Enduring Love: Another great thing to be thankful for in this day of short attention spans and diluted commitments of love.

In the New Testament, the writers of the letters to the Church body often say that they give thanks to God ‘for you all’. We need to be reminded to be thankful for our fellow brothers and sisters in Jesus. They are the Body of Christ, our spiritual family, and God has given us a great opportunity to develop relationships with other believers. It is up to us to develop those relationships and to thank God for them.

There are more simple things that come to mind that we often overlook, things we forget to thank the Lord for as we bring to Him our latest laundry list of wants and needs. Family, health, skill and talent, spiritual gifts are all good and perfect blessings from a Father who loves us.

May we all take a moment this Fall to stop and thank our Heavenly Father for what He has given to us. Let us thank Him for what He has done through the gift of His Son. Let us thank Him most of all for Who He is. For His love endures forever.

Mark has spent more than 20 collective years with the Grammy-award-winning Gaither Vocal Band and serves as the sidesplitting comedic sidekick for Bill Gaither through live concert tours and the best-selling Gaither Homecoming video series and television airings (now more than 150 volumes strong). A deep thinker and student of theology with an outrageous sense of humor, Mark’s life work includes a long list of recordings and DVDs reflecting a wide range of influences.
