Wayne Haun orchestrates for Celine Dion's latest release
NASHVILLE, TN (November 7, 2013) - Add Celine Dion's name to an ever-growing list of artists who call on Wayne Haun for his arranging expertise.
iTunes acknowledges that Celine Dion became a bestselling artist based on her "emotional, lushly orchestrated pop ballads," so even the low-key Haun will admit that orchestrating two songs on her newly-released recording, "Loved Me Back to Life," is an accomplishment for which he is grateful.
Jessica Simpson, Rayburn, J. Mark McVey, and Earl Scruggs are just a sampling of other
mainstream artists who have hired Haun, but in typical fashion, he shows appreciation for those who have opened the door to make such opportunities possible. "I really need to thank producers Tricky Stewart and especially Aaron Pearce for asking me to play a small role in their stellar production. Aaron has always been a great collaborator and friend."
In an already gratifying year, the 4-time Grammy nominee and 3-time BMI Music
Award winner recently garnered attention as he released his debut jazz vocal recording through StowTown Records and Provident/Sony Distribution. With fresh interpretations of timeless love songs and classic Broadway tunes, Wayne Haun's "Old Soul" CD took the number one spot on the iTunes Jazz chart for two days -- a chart that included Harry Connick, Jr., and Dave Koz. In all, the project remained in the iTunes Jazz Top 10 for a full week.
Haun also continues to be thankful for the support of the GMA/Dove Award voters, as
2013 added 4 more honors to his total. This year, his name was called for both producing (Jason Crabb's "Inspirational Album of the Year" and "Southern Gospel Performance of the Year") and songwriting ("Bluegrass Recorded Song" and "Country Recorded Song").
As co-founder and co-owner of StowTown Records, Vine Records, and Sunset Gallery
Music, the East Tennessee native continues to write and arrange as a staff songwriter for Lillenas, while touring full-time as the musical director for Ernie Haase and Signature Sound.
About StowTown Records
Founded in 2011, StowTown Records reflects the musical vision of Ernie Haase and Wayne Haun, and is the creative home for Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, The Perrys, Doug Anderson, Devin McGlamery, The Collingsworth Family, Beyond the Ashes, The Browns, and selected classic music from The Cathedrals, their legendary bass singer, George Younce, and The Cathedral Family Reunion. Distributed worldwide through Provident/Sony Distribution, this independent label has quickly garnered industry attention with multiple GMA/Dove Awards and chart-topping releases from their
highly-respected artist roster. For more information on StowTown Records, visit

Produced by Ben Isaacs and Bill Gaither, the new release, recorded acoustically, captures the intricate family harmonies that have made this group a household name among Gospel music lovers and showcases the type of arrangements and musicality that have made them known for their “pedal-steel blend.”
The Isaacs garnered three Gospel Music Association (GMA) DOVE nominations for the 2013 awards show as announced at the press conference yesterday at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena in Nashville, TN.
The group’s title cut from their last recording, Why Can’t We, written by Rebecca Isaacs Bowman, Sonya Isaacs Yeary and Jimmy Yeary, was nominated for Song of the Year as well as Southern Gospel Performance of the Year. In addition, group member Ben Isaacs, who received seven nominations in all, garnered a nod for Producer of the Year.

In addition to his official nominations, Ben was also co-arranger of Bluegrass Song of the Year nominee "Standing in the Need Prayer," by the Oak Ridge Boys.
The Isaacs’ creativity is further captured on their new release which features a new rendition of “The Living Years,” the pop hit from the 80s originally recorded by Mike + the Mechanics as well as a cover of The Judds’ “Grandpa (Tell Me ‘Bout the Good Ole Days).” It features the group’s unique version of the Dottie Rambo-penned classic “If That Isn’t Love,” an acapella rendition of “Walk Together Children” that features a signature “boom boom” bass part by Bill Gaither and the classic all-American tune “Ac-Cent-Tchu-ate the Positive.”
The Up Close and Personal DVD contains an intimate time of conversation and performances around the piano with Bill [Gaither], numerous appearances from various Homecoming stages ranging from Alaska to Jerusalem and a moving tribute to Lily’s mother, a Holocaust survivor.
The Living Years CD and the Up Close and Personal DVD are exclusively distributed by Capitol Christian Distribution and are now available throughout general market stores and the Christian marketplace in addition to online retailers including iTunes, Amazon and www.gaither.com.
The releases are being featured on tv networks including RFD, PBS, DISH TV, DIRECTV, AT&T U-verse, TBN, Family Net, FFE, RURAL TV, TNN, Airtime, CTN, The Walk TV (formerly Legacy), TCT and TLN and also in Canada on Vision TV, CTS, Grace TV and the Miracle Channel. The DVD is also featured on Gaither TV (available on Roku, Google and the Internet).
Today’s GMA DOVE nominations came on the heels of more good news for the Tennessee-based group following this week’s announcement that group member Sonya Isaacs Yeary has been nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year at the 24th Annual International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Awards, while Ben is currently nominated for Producer of the Year at this year’s National Quartet Convention (NQC) Awards to be held in Louisville, KY.

During a three hour dental appointment a few days ago, (replacement of a 30 year old bridge) conversation with the dental assistant led to she and her husband living in Europe when he was in the military.
She actually got a job in Italy where her husband was stationed and they traveled through Europe by train when they had free time. I told her that Rome is on my bucket list. She mentioned Austria and I immediately had a distinct remembrance of when Claude and I were there.
As we entered a small Austrian town our guide told us about the birth of perhaps the best known and most widely sung Christmas carol, "Silent Night". Joseph Mohr, the assistant priest of St. Nicholas parish church in Oberndorf, Austria, wrote this song when the organ malfunctioned on Christmas Eve in 1818. Had he not penned these famous lines and persuaded organist Franz Gruber to set them to music for the guitar and voice, the service that evening would truly have been silent.
Though the little town of Bethlehem may have been relatively quiet when Jesus was born, it was probably not silent.
Crowds of weary travelers were constantly arriving to be counted in the census. They walked the streets searching for places to stay, grumbling as they were turned away from the inns. Tired children whined, women with aching feet complained. And even in the stable where Mary and Joseph took refuge, the donkeys and cows would have continued to produce a variety of grunts and snorts.
Mohr's song speaks not of a natural silence. It captures a moment of peace, a holy hush that surely settled over Bethlehem as all of heaven viewed with wonder the birth of the God/ Man. Jesus. The Potter had entered into the clay that he himself had made, and He now rested in the arms of His own creation.
Phil, 4:8 tells us that "whatsoever things are TRUE, HONEST, JUST, PURE, LOVELY AND OF GOOD REPORT; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things". Even in the dreaded dentist chair we can think on the good things. If you have not invited Jesus into your heart, why not ask Him in today.
That's why He came.
Christmas blessings,
The Hoppers..

JASON CRABB Tops List of 2012 GMA Dove Nominees
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 23, 2012) — Christian music mainstay Jason Crabb led the number of Gospel Music Association (GMA) DOVE Award nominations according to the press conference held by the GMA at The Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta, GA on February 22, 2012.
Crabb’s eight nominations include: Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Country Recorded Song of the Year (“Why Me”), Southern Gospel Song of the Year (“If There Ever Was a Time,” Crabb Family), Traditional Gospel Recorded Song of the Year (“I Saw the Light”), Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year (“I’d Rather Have Jesus”), Southern Gospel Album of the Year (The Song Lives On) (Gaither Music Group) and Long Form Music Video of the Year (The Song Lives On) (Gaither Music Group).
Crabb’s current southern Gospel radio hit “Who Am I,” written by Rusty Goodman and also featured on his nominated release The Song Lives On, is also nominated in the Song of the Year category for the 2012 GMA DOVE Awards.
“I’m just blown away,” stated Jason. “My latest release, The Song Lives On, is a project I’d always dreamed of recording. I wanted to go back to my roots…back to the church where I grew up singing. To see the songs I sang in a little country church be honored in this way is special. This album is something really dear to my heart. I am grateful to the three B’s—Bill Gaither, Barry Jennings and Bill Carter—for making this dream a reality for me.”
Crabb received the news while traveling back from Tuesday night’s college basketball game, broadcast on ESPN, between the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the University of Kentucky Wildcats where he performed the national anthem for a packed house at the Humphrey Coliseum in Starkville, MS.
“I want to thank Mississippi State University for allowing me to be a part of such a big game,” commented Jason. “What an honor and what a great game!”
Crabb, a Kentucky native and lifelong Wildcat fan, was able to meet Coach Calipari, the University of Kentucky’s head coach. Calipari tweeted later in the evening about his Kentucky team stating, “Our boys still have the will to win.” Included in the tweet was the attached photo with Crabb.
Crabb’s recorded products are available online and at retail everywhere and are distributed through EMI CMG Distribution. For further information regarding Jason Crabb, visit www.jasoncrabb.com.

Hey Friends,
We are very excited and honored to receive two Dove nominations!
Album: Reach Out
Country Song: Good Things Are Happening
We worked very hard on this album and are thankful to all of those who voted. (KPNR is about serving the Lord and doing His work, however, we love it when we feel that people are connecting with our songs!)
We had a great time on the “Singing at Sea” cruise last week. It averaged in the upper 70s, making the weather absolutely perfect. It was a special treat to have Rickey’s momma and friend, Jean, with us. They had a blast! We will be going back to the Bahamas in February of 2013. If you want to go with us just send us an email. (newriver@windstream.net) Be sure to tell Templeton Tours that you are signing up with KPNR.
As always we want to say a very special thanks to all the DJ’s for playing our music. We just found out that “Mighty Big God” is #16. Yay! Also, we want to thank everyone for calling into your local radio stations and requesting it.
Abraham Productions is gearing up for the Singing In The Sun concerts starting April 17 and running through April 21 in Myrtle Beach, SC. This is an event you will not want to miss! You can purchase tickets at: www.abrahamproductions.net KPNR will be there on Saturday night. Keep in mind Abraham Productions features the finest in Southern Gospel Music along with the greatest speakers. At the 2011 event, 205 people were saved! I’m getting so excited about being there!

BEYOND THE ASHES NOMINATED FOR TWO GMA DOVE AWARDS
GROUP RECEIVES NODS FOR NEW ARTIST OF THE YEAR & CONTEMPORARY GOSPEL SONG OF THE YEAR
Nashville, TN (Feb 22, 2012) –Powerful vocal trio, Beyond The Ashes (BTA), is overwhelmed with gratitude with news of two prestigious DOVE AWARD nominations. The Gospel Music Association (GMA) announced the nominees at a press conference held in Atlanta, GA this morning. The announcements were hosted by comedienne extraordinaire, Chonda Pierce.
The trio's DOVE AWARD nominations include NEW ARTIST OF THE YEAR and CONTEMPORARY GOSPEL RECORDED SONG OF THE YEAR, "What I Have I Give," written by Wayne Haun, Joel Lindsey, and Depp Britt. The nominated song is from the album, Treasures Unseen, produced by Haun on Vine Records.
Group members Anthony Facello, Casey Rivers, and Kellan Monroe are beyond blessed by all God is doing in their ministry. These nominations have "almost" left them speechless, but BTA owner and tenor singer, Facello, tried to sum up the emotions as he shared; "We are stunned, overwhelmed, and absolutely thrilled with this tremendous news. The last 12 months have been quite a rollercoaster as we experienced successes and, also, some tough trials. The best part has been seeing souls trust Christ and lives changed forever. The hardest parts are tests of faith in moving forward, like when our bus caught on fire and we lost just about everything inside, including the transporation itself. But, what GOD has proven, and continues to prove over and again, is, HE IS FAITHFUL. There is no trial He doesn't understand and there are no victories more important than the spiritual ones we encounter as we continue to press on and serve Him in this ministry. Knowing we have received these nominations only fuels our desire to take it to the next level in this ministry and to really pray that accolades like a DOVE nomination (and, if it comes, a DOVE AWARD) will only open more opportunity to reach out to the hearts of hurting and lost people. WOW...THANK you everyone!"
The news of the nominations follows so many other incredible areas of growth for this talented group of guys, including their recent and first top 10 song, “The Coming Of The King.” Their new single, “Whenever We Pray,” is poised to be another chart busting hit. Both songs can be found on Treasure Unseen.
