The Talleys and Tribute announce the debut of the "Good News! He's Alive!" Tour in 2015
Nashville, TN - (May 27th, 2014) The iconic Talleys have enjoyed many years at the forefront of gospel music, with 11 number one singles, while Tribute is one of the most exciting, dynamic new groups seen in many years. They are quickly making their mark in the gospel music world with their number one hit, "Good News From Jerusalem." This tour will combine the best of both artists and feature some unique, crowd-pleasing collaborations, including partnerships with church choirs.
"Anytime we get together with the Tribute guys, we know we're gonna laugh and have fun," Roger Talley grins. "The 2 groups compliment each other well and that allows us to do some very creative things with music and media."
Gary Casto says, "We are alike in our minds and hearts when it comes to the message in our music, so I think it's just natural to come together for this tour. I'm expecting God to do great things!"

Stay Updated With The Talleys!
From the Talleys email newsletter January 3, 2013
Happy 2013!
Lots of exciting things are happening for our family, and we hope your year is off to a great start as well!
We were honored to be the hosts of “A First Family Christmas” last month at First Baptist Atlanta. We hosted four shows and sang a short set in each one. I also performed solo with the FBA choir in both Sunday morning services. It’s always a privilege to be with Dr. Charles Stanley and he was kind and gracious as always. He presented us with beautiful gift books while we were there and autographed them for us. Christmas came early!
My husband, Brian Alvey, has been attending college this past fall and is now going to be working full-time in the financial industry with Western and Southern Life providing insurance, investment and annuities services. We will miss him singing with us but we are excited about the new opportunity God has given him. He remains very supportive of his wife’s ministry, which I’m thankful for! Brian still writes music and records, so you will still enjoy his talents from time to time. Our latest single, “Make Way For the Master,” is one of Brian’s compositions and features him. If you haven’t heard it yet….just get ready, because it’s one of the greatest songs we’ve ever recorded.
From Debra:
I am excited to announce the release of my first book, God Moments In An Ordinary Life. For over twenty five years, I have been writing about the unexpected moments in my life that God uses to teach me more about Himself. This book is a compilation of these writings. The book will be available March 1, 2013 on our website. You can preorder through the website store starting January 7, 2013. The cost will be $15 plus S&H. I hope this book will be a blessing and a challenge to all who read it to find the God moments in your ordinary days.
In the spring, we will release a new double CD titled “The Ultimate Collection”. It is a compilation of the 30 most requested songs that we have ever recorded, and it includes several of the most popular songs recorded by the original Talleys, such as Triumphantly The Church Will Rise, He Is Here, Hallelujah Praise The Lamb, and Thinking About Home, etc. Be watching for the release of this CD.

Merry Christmas from The Hoppers
From the Hoppers email newsletter of December 20, 2012:
GMA - Hall of Fame
What: The Hoppers Induction into GMA Hall of Fame
When: Sunday December 23 - 7:00PM est.
Where to watch: The Hoppers.com // Hoppers official you tube channel
"Fifty-five year veterans of Gospel music, The Hoppers, were recently inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall Of Fame.
Their inspiring evolution as a group and pressing impact on the genre speak for themselves, but the powerhouse performances and heart-gripping testimonies are what have aided in their recognition.
Please join us in congratulating and supporting The Hoppers as they continue spreading the love of Christ in the same manner as they have for more than half a century...
Our special guests will be Jason Crabb, The Talleys and Gene McDonald.
Join us for this very special event Sunday December 23 at 7:00PM
During a three hour dental appointment a few days ago, (replacement of a 30 year old bridge) conversation with the dental assistant led to she and her husband living in Europe when he was in the military.
She actually got a job in Italy where her husband was stationed and they traveled through Europe by train when they had free time. I told her that Rome is on my bucket list. She mentioned Austria and I immediately had a distinct remembrance of when Claude and I were there.
As we entered a small Austrian town our guide told us about the birth of perhaps the best known and most widely sung Christmas carol, "Silent Night". Joseph Mohr, the assistant priest of St. Nicholas parish church in Oberndorf, Austria, wrote this song when the organ malfunctioned on Christmas Eve in 1818. Had he not penned these famous lines and persuaded organist Franz Gruber to set them to music for the guitar and voice, the service that evening would truly have been silent.
Though the little town of Bethlehem may have been relatively quiet when Jesus was born, it was probably not silent.
Crowds of weary travelers were constantly arriving to be counted in the census. They walked the streets searching for places to stay, grumbling as they were turned away from the inns. Tired children whined, women with aching feet complained. And even in the stable where Mary and Joseph took refuge, the donkeys and cows would have continued to produce a variety of grunts and snorts.
Mohr's song speaks not of a natural silence. It captures a moment of peace, a holy hush that surely settled over Bethlehem as all of heaven viewed with wonder the birth of the God/ Man. Jesus. The Potter had entered into the clay that he himself had made, and He now rested in the arms of His own creation.
Phil, 4:8 tells us that "whatsoever things are TRUE, HONEST, JUST, PURE, LOVELY AND OF GOOD REPORT; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things". Even in the dreaded dentist chair we can think on the good things. If you have not invited Jesus into your heart, why not ask Him in today.
That's why He came.
Christmas blessings,
The Hoppers..

Brian Alvey Joins The Talleys
One of gospel music’s most beloved families, the Talley Trio, announces an exciting new chapter in their lives and ministry. Brian Alvey joins Roger, Debra and Lauren on stage in September 2011, making his debut at the Gatlinburg Gathering. Brian and Lauren were married in June 2011 and with this change the group will officially be known as The Talleys.
“Brian not only brings an impressive vocal ability to the group, but will add a new excitement to the stage with his proficiency on bass guitar, piano, electric and acoustic guitar and steel guitar. We look forward to showcasing his many talents on stage, but what we love most is his testimony, his heart for ministry and the impact he will have on listeners,” says Roger Talley.
Brian is an Indiana native and was raised in a pastor’s home. He has previously played piano and sung with Southern Sound, Beyond the Ashes and Tribute Quartet. Brian co-wrote Tribute’s first top 10 single, “That’s Why I Love Him So,” and was a 2009 Top 10 nominee for Horizon Individual of the Year.

Brian Alvey joins The Talleys

Hi, everyone! You see me pop up around here, especially when I’m doing posts from the National Quartet Convention. Earlier this afternoon, I talked with Roger about a change you’re going to be seeing in the Talley Trio soon.
Daniel: I heard you mentioned earlier this week that Brian Alvey will be joining the group. Is this true?
Roger: We’ve known for a long time that Brian is an extremely talented individual. He has been working with us for the past year, behind the scenes, doing marketing and promotion, and helping with a lot of things that we’re involved in. Now that he and Lauren are married, we’ve decided that we’re going to take advantage of his talents and have him join us in the road, on stage. We feel that he has real calling to share not only singing and playing, but through his songwriting and his speaking ability as well. We’re going to be having him fill a wide variety of roles.
Daniel: With four people on stage, will you continue to go by the Talley Trio?
Roger: We will just be The Talleys. Some songs will be trios, and some will be four-part, but it will not just be the Talley Trio.
Daniel: Brian is a tenor singer; will you be singing bass?
Roger: Now, obviously, I’m not going not to suddenly become a bass singer. There are a lot of parts that I can sing, but bass is not one of them! So don’t look for a traditional quartet sound.
Daniel: Could you tell us a little about Brian’s background in Southern Gospel?
Roger: He has sung with Southern Sound, Beyond the Ashes, and Tribute Quartet. He has played instruments on stage with Southern Sound and Tribute Quartet, and written several songs for Tribute Quartet, including the hit single “That’s Why I Love Him So.”
Daniel: Will Brian be playing instruments on stage with the Talleys?
Roger: Yes. He plays a wide variety of instruments, including piano, bass, and acoustic and electric guitars, and we’ll be doing more live music with him playing some. On some songs, we’ll do four-part harmony, and different trios on others. We’ll just have a much bigger variety on stage.
Daniel: And for the question everyone’s wondering, by this point: When will he start?
Roger: We have had a rehearsal or two already. We’re working on some of the songs that we are currently singing. We hope to be ready to debut this new sound by September 1st. This fall, we will begin work on a new recording with the four of us.
We are excited about what he will bring to our team.
