First African American President Of SBC Is Fan Of Three Bridges
Nashville, TN (November 14, 2013) History was made on June 19, 2012 when the Southern Baptist Convention elected their first African American President, Dr. Fred Luter. History was also made earlier this month when Dr Luter commented that he is a fan Three Bridges.
Dr. Luter is pastor of Franklin Avenue Baptist church in New Orleans, LA. He grew the church from a remnant 65 people in a white-flight neighborhood to a congregation of more than 8,000. Franklin Avenue is now approaching 5,000 worshipers each Sunday despite the depressed population of the city.
Earlier this month Three Bridges sang to the Louisiana SBC Pastors and church leaders. To the delight of Three Bridges members Elliott McCoy, Shannon Smith, and Jeremie Hudson, Dr. Fred Luter, SBC President commented "I love Three Bridges! I'm their #1 fan!".
Elliott McCoy, manager and Baritone singer stated "What an honor to minister to the Pastors and church leaders of the SBC in Louisiana. They are making a great impact for Christ. It was also a great privilege to be with Dr. Fred Luter and his precious wife, Elizabeth, again! We love them dearly!"
This has been an exciting month for Three Bridges. Lead singer Shannon Smith said “In the space of one month we have ministered at the Tennessee Assemblies of God Pastor's Convention, been featured in the Church of God (Cleveland) Evangel magazine, and now ministered at this convention.”

Three Bridges’ Lead Singer, Shannon Smith, Graduates From Ohio Christian University
Nashville, TN (August 8, 2013) Nothing spells success like never quitting. That is exactly the way Three Bridges Lead singer, Shannon Smith feels. Graduating Summa Cum Laude on June 30, 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Music and Leadership. Shannon has done what few people ever accomplish. He went back to school..... and finished.
Three Bridges, Baritone and Manager, Elliott McCoy said “I'm beginning to feel like the low man on the totem pole in my own group. We are very proud of what Shannon has achieved. I know it wasn't easy for him, because we watched him put in long hours studying on the bus, and still be prepared to hit the stage running night after night.”
Smith said, “I attended a Bible college straight out of high school and then completed most of the work for a Vocal Performance degree at the University of South Carolina from 1987 – 1990. Then my son came along a bit earlier than planned and I never found the time or opportunity to finish my degree. A couple of years ago, I saw an opportunity to finish my degree at OCU through their online program and I knew it was God’s time. It only took me 29 years to get my degree but at least I’m finished before my kids!”
Three Bridges is an Award winning group that transcends age and genres to share the Gospel with all who will listen.

Hatfield-McCoy Reunion Concert A Huge Success
June 14, 2013 (Nashville, TN) The first ever Hatfield-McCoy Gospel concert, hosted by Elliott McCoy and Three Bridges was a rounding success. The first of its kind, held in Belfry, KY, the event was greeted by all in the community with smiling faces.
The event was a huge success. Tim Lovelace was in rare form keeping the crowd in stitches and wowing them with his musical ability. Jeff & Sheri Easter did a fantastic job presenting their unique style of Gospel music. Three Bridges had a great time and ended the night with all of the artists on stage singing their exciting new single, Salvation Station, which brought the house down!

People drove from hundreds of miles away to be a part of the event. Roger Wills, former corporate pilot for the O'Charley's corporation, was heard to say, "I am officially blown away by this whole event!"
Shannon Smith, Lead singer for Three Bridges mused “We breathed a sigh of relief when the concert was over and not one single shot had been fired.”
More Hatfields are expected to attend as the event becomes an Annual experience.

Three Bridges’ music is rooted in traditional ”southern gospel” and ”black gospel” music. This blended style has made Three Bridges an internationally-acclaimed Gospel group — one that is known for tight harmonies, a unique vocal style, an exciting and energy packed stage presence and, most importantly, for spreading the joy of the Good News of Christ. They have entertained and ministered to millions through their recordings, TV appearances and live shows — which is why Three Bridges has quickly become one of the most prominent Gospel groups in Christian music today.
Following the release of the critically-acclaimed debut album, Soldiers (2002), Three Bridges has wowed packed-out venues across the nation…from Gospel singings, business conventions, churches, political meetings, TV shows, charitable relief events – all the way to Air Force One! They have also appeared on five Bill Gaither video tapings and were special guests on a video for the United Nation.
About The Beelers
Cory is an incredibly anointed songwriter (it’s just in his blood), singer and musician, as well as preacher of the Word. Cory also plays guitar, harmonica and piano. Robin is the middle sibling whom God has blessed with incredible vocal and arranging abilities. Her talents also include piano and a comedy character they call “Sham”, who is so funny and will “keep you in stitches”! Husband, Steve, travels with the group as road manager/sound man. Tina, the first born of The Beelers, is the mischievous one of the family, but also is the Rock! Because their mother died when Cory was just a young boy at the time, Tina not only assumed the role of “big sister”, but also became part Mother. Her importance to The Beelers vocal performances are blessed by the same commitment she has to everything else in life. Tina is an incredible singer with a contagious smile and helps “hold it all together!” The Beelers have been singing their family style of harmony since childhood. Their first radio single is a song written by their Dad, Ray Beeler, “When A Man Dies”, immediately following the death of their mother. Their debut project is entitled, “Common Ground”, a great song penned by Cory Beeler plus several songs by producer and songwriter, Glen Bates, on BSA World Records.

Three Bridges Receives Absolutely Gospel Music Award Nomination for Christmas Must Be Tonight
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (February 2, 2012) – Christian music trio Three Bridges is honored to have earned its 14th career nomination in the Absolutely Gospel Music Awards. The group received a nod in the Special Event Project of the Year category for its highly-acclaimed Christmas recording Christmas Must Be Tonight.
The Special Event Project of the Year category honors releases that are not consistent with an artist’s yearly body of work – such as holiday recordings, best-of collections, DVD releases, solo recordings, and much more.
“We are honored to be mentioned alongside so many great artists and projects in this category,” mentioned Elliott McCoy of Three Bridges. “We firmly believe that Christmas Must Be Tonight is one of the strongest recordings we’ve ever released, and this nomination confirms that for us!”
Christmas Must Be Tonight released last fall on Mansion Records. The recording was produced by long-time Three Bridges collaborator Rick Sandidge.
Elliott continued,”This recording did so well for us. Our sales for this project were just astounding, especially with only a six-week time frame to really sell it. It opened so many doors for us this past holiday season, including 11 Christmas concerts. We had a dynamite December because of this recording! Our record label couldn’t have been happier!”
The Absolutely Gospel Music Award nominees are chosen by the staff of AbsolutelyGospel.com and select media representatives. The fans get a chance to vote in 12 of the 24 categories from February 1st through February 14th, 2012, including the Special Event Project of the Year category.
Three Bridges encourages all Southern Gospel fans to go vote for their favorites in each category. To vote, head over to www.absolutelygospel.com.
More information on the 2012 Absolutely Gospel Music Awards Celebration will be forthcoming, including hosts, performers, and sponsors.
