Nashville, TN (November 14, 2013) History was made on June 19, 2012 when the Southern Baptist Convention elected their first African American President, Dr. Fred Luter. History was also made earlier this month when Dr Luter commented that he is a fan Three Bridges.
Dr. Luter is pastor of Franklin Avenue Baptist church in New Orleans, LA. He grew the church from a remnant 65 people in a white-flight neighborhood to a congregation of more than 8,000. Franklin Avenue is now approaching 5,000 worshipers each Sunday despite the depressed population of the city.
Earlier this month Three Bridges sang to the Louisiana SBC Pastors and church leaders. To the delight of Three Bridges members Elliott McCoy, Shannon Smith, and Jeremie Hudson, Dr. Fred Luter, SBC President commented "I love Three Bridges! I'm their #1 fan!".
Elliott McCoy, manager and Baritone singer stated "What an honor to minister to the Pastors and church leaders of the SBC in Louisiana. They are making a great impact for Christ. It was also a great privilege to be with Dr. Fred Luter and his precious wife, Elizabeth, again! We love them dearly!"
This has been an exciting month for Three Bridges. Lead singer Shannon Smith said “In the space of one month we have ministered at the Tennessee Assemblies of God Pastor's Convention, been featured in the Church of God (Cleveland) Evangel magazine, and now ministered at this convention.”

Three Bridges Featured In The Evangel
Nashville, TN (November 5, 2013) Award winning Gospel trio Three Bridges has some great things in the works and one has already come to fruition. A leading church magazine, The Evangel, the official publication of the Church of God, headquartered in Cleveland, TN, published a two page spread featuring Three Bridges.
Written by Wanda Griffith and titled “THREE BRIDGES, THIRTEEN YEARS – SOUTHERN GOSPEL WITH SOUL”, the article talks about an array of things ranging from their beginning and big song “Dear Captain” which pretty well launched the group's career, to their major influences and including their latest recording 'Twelve'. It also covers some testimonials from all three members of the group.
Jeremie Hudson, a credentialed minister with The Church of God, said "It's very humbling to be included in The Evangel. It's awesome when one's own denomination takes time and gives recognition.. I am very, very thankful."
