Karen Peck And New River Garner Five Absolutely Gospel Music Nominations


Dahlonega, GA (January 26, 2015) One of the stellar groups in Gospel Music, Karen Peck and New River has collected five Absolutely Gospel Music Award nominations. This comes on the heels of a Dove Award for Southern Gospel Song of the Year for "Revival”.

Always a favorite at the Absolutely Gospel Music Awards, Karen Peck & New River, were mentioned in five categories including Song of the Year (for "Finish Well”), Mixed Group, Progressive Song (for "Finish Well”) , Traditional Song (for "Everybody’s Going Through Something”) penned by Karen Peck, Kenna West and Don Poythress. "Finish Well”, written by Karen Peck, Michael Farren and Kenna West, was number one on both the Singing News and Absolutely Gospel Music charts. In addition to the group’s nominations Karen Peck is also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year.

Karen stated "We have had such a desire to see Revival spread through the world and we hope to spark that same desire in others as we present the Gospel in song. We are very honored and blessed to be nominated by our peers for doing what we love.”

Voting for the Awards begins Sunday, February 1st and will continue through Saturday February 21st . Simply go to www.absolutleygospel.com and look for the large banner at the top of the front page and you can click to vote for Karen Peck and New River.

The Absolutely Gospel Music Awards, often called the "finest” awards in the industry have been presented since 2002 by the staff of AbsolutelyGospel.com. Jimmy Yeary – “I Drive Your Truck” Scores Big Again

Nashville, TN (April 10, 2014) Multi-award winning Country songwriter Jimmy Yeary is celebrating again. He and his co-writers Jessi Alexander and Connie Harrington have won another major award for their mega-hit “I Drive Your Truck” recorded by Lee Brice. The ACM honored this song with it's highest award on Sunday April 6th.

Lee Brice did take the stage, but the Song of the Year is awarded to the songwriters. He turned to the songwriters beside him on stage and stated, “This is not for me. This is for the writers.” He then turned the attention to Connie Harrington along with co-writers Jimmy Yeary and Jessi Alexander.

The Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Awards are the two most prestigious awards a singer or songwriter can receive in their careers. “I Drive Your Truck” has captured the coveted Song of the Year category in both of these celebrated Awards. “I Drive Your Truck” is an emotionally moving song that has connected with the hearts and souls of people from all walks of life.

Jimmy Yeary stated “This song has done more to touch the lives of people than I ever dreamed. I feel I am a very fortunate man.”

Jimmy Yeary's number one accomplishments are numerous including "I Drive Your Truck" recorded by Lee Brice, "Anywhere With You" recorded by Jake Owen, "Why Wait" by Rascal Flats and "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" by Martina McBride. He was also a writer on the top ten Joe Diffie song "In Another World", which was his first radio success.

Jimmy Yeary Scores Grammy Nomination

Nashville, TN (December 16, 2013) Multi-award winning songwriter, Jimmy Yeary along with his co-writers Jessi Alexander, and Connie Harrington were nominated for Song of the Year in the 56th Grammy Award Nominations announced on December the 6th, 2013. “I Drive Your Truck” performed by Lee Brice was not only nominated for Song of the Year but also received a second Grammy nomination for best Country Solo Performance

The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on January 26, 2014, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. The show will broadcast on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.

The Number One song on the Country charts was recorded by Lee Brice. Even though he is a prolific songwriter himself, Brice did not write "I Drive Your Truck", however, as he heard it he knew he had to cut it.

Brice was quoted as saying “Every now and then I hear a song that just blows me away, and that song just put me on the floor the first time I heard it.”

“I am blown away by the continued response to this song”, stated Jimmy Yeary. “A Grammy nomination is a once in a lifetime chance for a writer. I’m incredibly honored.”

Jimmy was also a co-writer on three other number one songs. Songwriter Jimmy Yeary Scores Big With CMA Song of the Year – “I Drive Your Truck”

Nashville, TN (November 14, 2013) “I Drive Your Truck” written by Jimmy Yeary, Jessi Alexander, and Connie Harrington walked away with the Country Music Association Song of the Year Award at the 47th ANNUAL CMA AWARDS. The Awards aired live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on ABC-TV on Wednesday, November 6th.
The Number One song on the Country charts was recorded by Lee Brice and quickly swept the country off it's feet with the touching story. Yeary commented “The story behind this song is so powerful and connects with everyday people's lives and the losses we all endure. This song speaks to everyone”. Jimmy continued “Without the sacrifice of people like Jared Monti, whom this song was written about, none of this would be possible. I am honored that I had a part in the world getting to hear his story.”

Many great songs have co-writers and Jimmy acknowledges Jessi Alexander and Connie Harrington saying “I can't think of any two people I'd rather share this Award with.”
