Evangelist and Christian Recording Artist John Lanier Celebrates 25 Years with Two-Day Event...Huge Success

Kennedy. AL (August 20, 2014) Celebrating 25 years in music ministry and evangelism, John Lanier hosted a two-day event featuring old fashioned camp meeting-style worship services and Gospel music concerts this past weekend, August 8 and 9.

Musical guests included LuLu Roman, Hope’s Journey, The Steeles on Friday night, and Heart’s Song Quartet, The Sneed Family, and Tony Gore & Majesty on Saturday Night.

In Friday evening’s worship service, Margie Tanner was the guest speaker. Gabriel Swaggart preached during the Saturday evening service.

(Friday night, 8/8/14) LuLu shares a part of her testimony. She is indeed a lovely lady.
“The event was a huge success,” Lanier states. “I was humbled by the display of love and support...people came from all over Alabama and Georgia and from far away as Mississippi, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and even Texas. But the best report is that more than 50 people made decisions for Christ as a result of the Gospel message being proclaimed! THAT’S what it’s all about!”

Lanier began his professional career in 1989 with Naomi & the Segos. He later helped form Tony Gore & Majesty and eventually pursued an evangelistic solo ministry in the late 1990s.

A complete photo album highlighting the event will be posted soon at http://www.johnlanier.com .

Youth In Excellence Awards Deemed A Huge Success

Youth In Excellence Awards Deemed A Huge Success

Nashville, TN (July 26, 2013) The first ever Youth In Excellence Awards, hosted by Bev McCann of Godsey and Associates was a huge success when held in Nashville, TN last Monday evening, July 15th. With a capacity crowd and an array of talent, the awards were given for the accomplishments of young people in the film and music arenas.
Founder of the awards, film maker Beth Roose stated “I noticed that the youth in films and music are not receiving much attention for all the hard work and talent that they have. I felt it was time to make a change and give the youth of the industry just a little recognition.”
Eden Wood was a big winner for the evening with Rhema Marvanne and Gavin Morales also taking home an armful of Awards.
Beth Roose continued “One of the most touching awards of the night was to the Military. We had Lt. Col Richard Mendez from the USAF there. We presented him an award and sang God Bless America. After the song, two of the girls Ginny Posey and Eden Wood wrote notes about how they loved this country and read it to the Lt. Col and then gave him the notes. He was clearly moved. Another moving moment was when Lulu Roman, of Hee Haw fame, accepted her Lifetime Achievement Award. Lulu was surprised when her friends from Southern Gospel, Zane and Donna King appeared to present her award to her.”

A Grand Reunion Found In Remake Of “Tomboy and the Champ”

Katy, TX (June 17, 2013) Who says that a reunion has to take place at a park pavilion with a picnic lunch? This is a strange reunion of sorts as it's not all the family getting together to reminisce old stories, although I'm sure some really great stories will be shared. This is a reunion 52 years in the making. This is a reunion of then child star Jerry Naill and the Classic movie he played in, “Tomboy And The Champ”.

Jerry Naill found his true calling early in his life. He discovered music as a child and a star was born. He was cast in the 1961 classic movie "Tomboy And The Champ". Not only did Jerry have a singing part in the film, but he also had the opportunity to record six songs for the movie's soundtrack.
The original cast starred Ben Johnson, Rex Allen, and Candy Moore.

Beth Roose Films has taken on the task to remake this wonderful Christian Family Film. In the remake Eden Wood steps up to the plate as the Star, Tommy Jo Lane. Hollywood Western Star Ed Faulkner steps into the shoes of Ben Johnson and Nashville's Southern Gospel favorite Ian Owens steps in Jess Kirkpatrick's role as Parson Dan. You will love the ever funny Hee Haw and Country/Gospel Star LuLu Roman in the role of Grandma.

Beth Roose said “I can't resist bringing Jerry into the role of Mr. Stockton in the remake. While Katy native, Jerry may not be singing in the remake, his presence will be a wonderful addition to the cast.”

As in the original, the remake will showcase the county Future Farmers of America as well as the warmth of family, friends and community.

"Tomboy and the Champ" is a much needed film in today's negative, violent, and sexual oriented
films released in the market today. Principle photography will start July 23rd in Katy, Texas.
