HEARTLAND’S OWN HEART TO HEART SWEEPS 2013 COUNTRY GOSPEL MUSIC INDUSTRY AWARDS

Heart To Heart is the dynamic duo, based in Branson with deep roots in the Heartland, that is taking the Gospel Music Industry by storm. Sharon and Jerry Mays who make up Heart To Heart have been voted Seven Times National and International Duo of the Year by fans, industry professionals and radio. In 2013 alone, they were honored to receive AGAPE Duo of the Year, International Country Gospel Music Duo of the Year, Country Gospel Music Fanfest Duo of the Year and are current reigning International Country Gospel Choice Awards Duo of the Year. Yes, the industry is definitely taking notice of this duo born and raised in the Bootheel of Missouri.

What is it about Heart To Heart that makes folks pack their concerts, request songs on the radio and buy their CD’s? When not performing on several stages in Branson, MO to include the Doug Gabriel Theater, Treasure Lake Resort and Branson Radio Live, they serve churches and communities nationwide, are Winter Texan Artists throughout the Rio Grande Valley, TX in January, February and March – and still find time to take their Christmas Celebration Tour on the road between Thanksgiving and Christmas each year with their good friend and fellow artist, Doug Thornton. Jerry says “There’s not much time to play but we love what we do. We were born and raised in Malden and Parma, MO with church, family and hard work being part of our upbringing. Sharon grew up in a musical family. Her dad, Leon Barnett, was the lead guitar player and singer with the edgy 50’s and 60’s group, Narvel Felts & the Rockets. Young guys who ran through her house when she was about 4 or 5 to practice for gigs, turned out to be the likes of Carl Perkins, Chet Atkins, Harold Jenkins (before he was Conway Twitty), Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash and Elvis was never far away. Jerry grew up on a farm and only learned he could sing when he met Sharon. They appreciate Sharon’s heritage in music that has helped bring them where they are today, as a full-time nationally touring duo that has had four No. 1 songs on the charts: Pieces To Peace, I Will Stand By You, Brand New Man and You Are My Rock. Country Gospel Singer Rene' Jones Receives Award Nominations

Nashville, TN (August 12, 2013) Country Gospel singer extraordinaire, Rene' Jones, has been nominated for a plethora of awards recognizing his ability to not only sing a song, but communicate the Gospel through every song he sings.
Rene' stated “I am so honored and humbled by receiving all these nominations. I have dedicated my life, along with my wife Edie, to share this Gospel of Christ with everyone we possibly can. These awards nominations help us understand that we are actually seeing some success in our efforts of presenting the Gospel.”
Rene's wife Edie said, “I am so proud of my husband. He works so hard to be the best that he can be, and the man you see on stage is the man he is at home.” Edie was also nominated as the second part of the Duet of the Year nomination.
With a total of nine nomination from three different impressive organizations, Rene is among the most nominated artists in the Country Gospel genre.

Born in "L.A." (in this case, "Lower Ashton"), a small community on the outskirts of Walterboro, South Carolina, Rene' was raised singing in the church. His family was involved in farming, and he spent many hours singing while riding the tractors and working the land. In his teens, Rene' joined the gospel group The Beacons, and it was this background that gave Rene' his vibrant and smooth voice of today. He sings with passion, putting his heart, body and soul into his music.

After The Beacons, Rene' decided to try his hand at country music. He performed in country clubs, variety shows, festivals, parades, and was a featured entertainer at the 1987 March of Dimes Telerama broadcast from Charleston, South Carolina. In 1992, after having the pleasure of performing in sold-out concerts with Linda Davis and Lang Scott, Rene' and his wife moved to Nashville and embarked on a series of tours across Eastern United States. Rene's third album brought him within inches of a record deal. However, at the last minute, the record executives decided Rene' was too country and signed their second choice artist for the deal. Imagine being too country for country music. However. . . God had a better plan!

In 2003, Rene' felt the Lord calling him back to his roots of gospel music. Rene's first Christian Country single was released to radio in March, 2005 by GodsChild Records. Since then, Rene' has had several songs to chart in the Top 10 of the Christian Country and Country Gospel charts. His single Rockin' On The Front Porch went to #1 in January, 2009. He has appeared in Music City News, Power Source and Christian Voice magazines. He and his wife have made several television appearances including TCT Network and Touching the World Ministries.

Rene' was bestowed the honor of receiving the 2007, 2009, & 2011 Male Vocalist of the Year Awards, the 2008 Soloist of the Year Award, and the prestigious 2009 & 2010 Christian Country Crown Jewel Awards from the United States Association of Gospel Entertainers and Musicians. He won the 2012 Video of the Year Award from the International Country Gospel Music Association for the song Bible By Her Bed.

Country Gospel Singer Rene' Jones Nominated For Two Prestigious Awards

Nashville, TN (July 5, 2013) Multi-award winning Country Gospel vocalist Rene' Jones has been nominated for the 2013 Artists Music Guild Awards for Favorite Male Vocalist of the Year and Favorite Song of the Year.
The song nominated is “Bible By Her Bed” written by Country Gospel singer/songwriter Ann Hartmann. Rene' stated “I love this song. It receives a tremendous reception every time I sing it.”
The 2013 Convention and Awards Show of the International Country Gospel Music Association will be August 1st, 2nd, & 3rd. It will be held once again in the beautiful Civic Center Auditorium in historic West Plains, Missouri, the Heart of the Ozarks.
