The Goodwins currently recording two new projects

Poca, WV (May 20, 2011) The Goodwins of Poca, WV, are currently in the studio recording two greatly anticipated, new projects. The first one, titled "Family Traditions", is a collection of traditional favorites that are tailored to the sound from The Goodwins that audiences have grown to love. Some of the selections include "Amazing Grace", "It Is Well", "Victory In Jesus" & a very soulful version of "I'll Fly Away".

The second project tentatively titled, "Sing", is a collection of songs from the pen of Lead Singer / Songwriter, Martha Goodwin-Drake who is responsible for songs like, "That's My Boy" (recorded by The Wilburns), Amen Corner, Jesus Died Like A Man & more. It contains their current radio single, "Walk On The Water", as well as their upcoming radio single, "My Child", & more.

Both projects feature piano work from acclaimed pianist, James Rainey & will feature Martha's son Brandon & even her 6 year old daughter Katie stepping up to the mic on several songs to complete the family sound. Both projects have an expected release date of early July 2011 & will be released on the Pathlight label.

The Goodwins sign with Torch Light Talent Agency

Poca, WV (Aug 6, 2010) The Goodwins of Poca, WV have recently signed with Torch Light Talent Agency for future booking representation. "We are very pleased & excited about working with Torch Light Talent... thanks to their hard work, we are already filling open dates in our 2010 schedule", says Martha Drake, lead singer/songwriter for the group. The Goodwins will still occasionally schedule various dates themselves, but will be booked primarily through Torch Light Talent Agency for future dates. The Goodwins are currently booking for a few remaining dates in 2010 & are booking for 2011 as well.
The Goodwins are well known in the industry for penning songs like, "That's My Boy", & "Amen Corner" & for recent charting singles like "Jesus Died Like A Man" & their latest single, "Heart Of The King". This song recently debuted on the Southern Gospel Times Top 40 chart at #2 & is also currently on the Christian Voice Top 100 chart at # 82. The Goodwins brand new single, "Revival Medley" ships to radio this week.
