Spins Help Homeless Veterans in the U.S.

A national study states there are 67,495 homeless Veterans in the U.S. and that means 1 in 4 homeless people are Veterans. Sunday Drive, recording artist for Lyric House Records and Crossroads Entertainment is teaming up with Radio Stations, Lost Sheep Ministries, and other national organizations to help bring an end to this travesty.
You may ask . . . Why this song? Co-writer Todd Martin is a Homeless Veteran. Todd is a very talented individual who has had trouble finding a long term job and has spent many nights sleeping under bridges, in cars, and anywhere he can find. Hopefully this song will showcase his talent as a writer and open doors for him.
How can you help? Every time you spin “A Reason To Believe”. . . BMI, ASCAP and Sound Exchange pay royalties. Sunday Drive will be donating royalties to Lost Sheep Ministries and other national veteran organizations, and Todd will make enough money on royalties to rent a place he can call home. We are excited to give back to the people who gave so much to insure that we will remain free!
There are 4 ways for you to get “A Reason To Believe.”

Gold City News

From Gold City's email newsletter November 7, 2012:

WEEKEND REWIND

It was a great weekend on the Gold City bus. We started out Thursday in Murfreesboro, TN at Farmer’s Family Restaurant, where the place was packed, the food was great, and the hospitality was warm and friendly. It was great to be with our friends, Wilburn and Wilburn, and we had a chance to do some jammin’ together near the end of the concert. The house was rocking by the time we were done. After that we headed to Bardstown, KY where we had a great time as well. Saturday brought us an unusual day off. It’s rare we have down time on the road, but we quickly embraced it and headed to the Opry Mills Mall where we dined and caught a movie. It was great to see the Bowlings in passing while we were at Prevost washing the bus. They were headed out for their weekend. On Sunday morning, we completed our tour for the week at Calvary Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN, where we had an awesome time as well.

VETERAN SALUTE

This Sunday is Veteran’s Day and we want to take this time to say thank you to our own Tim Riley for his service to our country during the Vietnam War. Tim is featured in a story about military heroes in the current November issue of Singing News Magazine. It’s this time of year we are reminded that only two forces have ever offered to lay down their life for you–Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. If you have or are currently serving our country, we thank you for your selfless sacrifice so that we may live in the land of the free.

DANNY’S FAVORITE QUOTE OF THE WEEK:

HOPE FOR OUR COUNTRY

Don't worry, I am not going to make a political statement! I know that some are happy and some are not happy about the results of the election yesterday. No matter how you feel about it, no matter who is in the White House, we can rest assured that God is in control... His throne is above all others, and we will all stand before Him one day and answer for the choices we make. There is only one hope, only one answer to the problems we face in our country:

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." -2 Chronicles 7:14

That's it friends. Be encouraged! Have a great week!
