Earlier this week, their debut project, Bishop Jerry L. Maynard presents the Cathedral of Praise Choir (JeLaMa Records), received two nominations – Traditional Gospel Album of the Year and Traditional Gospel Song of the Year, “Just Believe” featuring Michelle Prather – in a press conference announcing the nominees for the 44th GMA Dove Awards. Displaying the talents of Bishop Maynard and the choir along with Don Moen, Durward Davis (Sunday Best), Michelle Prather (Kurt Carr Singers), Pam Crawford, Candy West and more, the project features exciting tracks, profound lyrics and exemplary musicianship.
“I am somewhat speechless,” says Bishop Maynard. “This project has been a dream of mine for quite some time and I’ve always said that a dream realized is work performed and the choir along with the entire team has surely worked hard. I am very proud of this accomplishment!”
Bishop Jerry Maynard Presents The Cathedral Of Praise Choir is the inaugural project on Maynard’s JeLaMa Records and is distributed exclusively by Central South Distribution. The collection debuted on the Billbchooard’s Top Gospel Chart at #10 and produced a high-spirited radio single that quickly rose to the top of the gospel radio charts. "Just Believe" is a Top 30 Gospel radio chart hit with the contribution of powerful lead vocals from Michelle Prather (Kurt Carr Singers).
