AWARD-WINNING ARTIST, DAVID EAST RELEASES "GRACE IS GREATER" TO NATIONAL RADIO THIS WEEK

Newburgh, IN (January 10, 2013) -- CGMA award-winning artist, David East is pleased to announce his second national radio release, "Grace is Greater." The song shipped to radio on the Patterson Promotions Volume 10 compilation.

"I am so excited that Grace is Greater is my second radio release," said David. "Time after time, folks have shared with me how this song touched them and ministered to them in times of trouble. I encourage everyone to call their local station and request Grace is Greater."

Ken Patterson of Patterson Promotions said, "Patterson Promotions is proud to represent David East with his national promotions to radio. David is a very talented and gifted musician, singer and songwriter; we have been with David in concert, and his call is evident as he ministers to the audience . We recommend David as a must for your next event or church function if you want ministry."

Phil Culbertson, Pastor of Christ Corner Church in Henderson, KY shares, "David East has a tremendous heart and passion for music, and his passion for that music returns for the Glory of God. As a musician, he has an ear to hear what the average ear does not even notice. With all the gifts God has blessed him with, songwriting has become one of his greatest tools to share not only his story, but the story of the blessed Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way many can relate. His latest song, “Grace is Greater” is probably one of my favorite songs that he has written. As his pen was placed on the paper, I do not believe that even he knew he would paint the picture with words that this song paints. It reminds us that tests, trials, mistakes, and broken dreams are all erased with the stroke of God’s paintbrush called Grace. I know that you will be blessed by it as well as encouraged to continue on in the Grace wherein God has set you free."

Jerry Adams, Church of God District Overseer and Pastor of the Shelburn Church of God in Shelburn, Indiana adds, "When I first heard this song, I played it over and over again. Such a powerful message at a time when so many are suffering. This song will bless you."

"Grace is Greater" is featured on David's first solo project, "He Kept His Promise", available at http://www.davideast.net and on ITunes.

"Morning After The Rapture" Released to National Radio

Newburgh, IN - CGMA award-winning artist, David East, known for his work with the Southern Gospel Times,  is pleased to announce his first national radio release, "Morning After The Rapture". The song shipped to radio on March 28, 2012 on the Patterson Promotions Volume 8 compilation.

As the title implies, "Morning After The Rapture" describes events that will take place on the morning after the rapture occurs. The song's poignant lyrics strike at the listeners' hearts, and it has become the most requested song wherever David ministers. David's performance of "Morning After The Rapture" at the CGMA International Convention in October, 2011 earned him the "International Songwriter of the Year" award.

"I am so excited to see the message of this song carried to the airwaves," said David. "The response to this song has been incredible, and I pray that God uses this song to reach even more people. I encourage everyone to call their local station and request Morning After the Rapture."

Ken Patterson of Patterson Promotions said, " Patterson Promotions is proud to release this timely single for David; he has a great vocal sound. For 2000 years we've heard the message, "Jesus is coming back" -  Lord forbid that we get callused to the fact that he really is coming soon. If you thinks it's dreary now, just wait till the light is gone!"

Phil Culbertson, Pastor of Christ Corner Church in Henderson, KY shares, "David East puts words to music that not only inspire but cause you to sit back and take inventory of your life with his song, Morning After the Rapture. This song brings more than a melody - it's a message reminding you that this world is temporary and God's grace and mercy is the only hope in a world that one day will come to an end. This song is truly one of a kind, written to the depths that touches the soul with a message so simple even a child could understand it."

Jerry Adams, Church of God District Overseer and Pastor of the Shelburn Church of God in Shelburn, Indiana adds, "The first time I heard that song I knew it was destined to be counted among Southern Gospel's greatest songs. It speaks to where we live today and I know it will reach many people for God."

"Morning After The Rapture" is featured on David's first solo project, "He Kept His Promise", available at http://www.davideast.net and on ITunes.

David East Receives Two Golden Heart Awards at CGMA International Convention

Branson, MO - During the 2011 CGMA (Country Gospel Music Association) International Convention, held October 17, 2011 through October 22, 2011, David East received two golden heart awards: Songwriter of the Year, and the Band of the Year award, given to the Hearts AFire! band which he played keyboard for. Ballots were cast throughout the week-long event by the members in attendance.
"It's such an honor to receive these awards, especially since the votes for each one came from my peers in the music industry", said David. "It doesn't happen very often, but I'm left speechless. These folks welcomed me into their organization with such hospitality."
The CGMA awards process, which occurs each year at the Divisional level and at the International level, is not designed to create a competition between the artists; but rather as a means of encouraging and lifting up CGMA artists and members. David had been awarded six silver heart awards at the 2011 CGMA Eastern Division Conference: Songwriter of the Year, Instrumentalist of the Year, Manager of the Year, Producer of the Year, Favorite Artist of the Year, and with the Hearts Afire! band, Band of the Year.
David says, "Each night before the ballots were cast, CGMA President Billy Hale led those in attendance in prayer, asking God to guide their hands as they voted for the ones who needed it most. I was most impressed by that, and to see the looks on the faces of those who were not expecting to receive an award was wonderful."

David has learned to play a total of 13 instruments, but he’s best known for is his piano and keyboard work. Always a fan favorite, once the big man gets behind the piano you know that you’re in for a wealth of good music and entertainment. His playing is a mixture of several different styles presented with his own flair.
About the CGMA: The Country Gospel Music Association (CGMA) began in 1996 and has been dedicated to ministry since its creation. While we appreciate the music business, and for the sake of our members, do all we can to advance the cause of the Country Gospel genre, we believe every Christian artist should be totally committed to the Everlasting Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (II Peter 1:11) and have as their chief priority, blessing the heart of God. When the song is used as a vehicle for the Savior, it is honored of the Father and may also achieve success within the industry; but the glitter of the music business should never be our objective.
