Nashville, TN (September 17, 2013) As the first family of Southern Gospel/Bluegrass, the Isaacs are entering territory others have dreamed of going. Performing fairly often at the Opry, the Isaacs once again received a very warm welcome when they sang on Saturday, August 31st.
The crowd was into their singing from the first song, “The Living Years”, but when they sang “Mr. In-Between” and the ladies broke into those close harmony parts, you could actually hear some swooning going though the crowd.
For their last two numbers special guest Bill Gaither joined them on stage. The audience cheered when Bill joined them on the a capella rendition of “Walk Together Children”, however with the final song of the classic Dottie Rambo tune “If That Isn't Love” the crowd erupted giving them a standing ovation.
On top of their Opry success the Isaacs have also been garnering attention with several award nominations, including Ben winning the NQC/SGMG Producer of the Year Award.

Gold City News
From Gold City Newsletter August 1, 2012:
WEEKEND REWIND
Gold City has been all over the map this weekend. We had a blast in Barnesville, GA last Friday night with our friends, The Old Paths. Then we headed over to Lawrenceburg, TN for the annual James D. Vaughn Southern Gospel Music Festival. We were joined by our friends, The Kingsmen and the Mark Trammell Quartet, for a great night in the birthplace of southern gospel music. Sunday, the friendly folks at Berea, KY made us feel so welcome. And then Monday, we made our way to the Auglaize County Fairgrounds. Yes, we said fairgrounds, so you know what that means. The corn dog and funnel cake count decreased considerably after our bus pulled into the parking lot. Great times with great people like you are what make the many miles Gold City travels worth the sacrifice of leaving our families each week. Thanks for making our journey a sweeter one.
VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!
The NQC Awards final ballot has been distributed to everyone who is on the email list of the National Quartet Convention. If you received an email to a link for the final voting, please go vote and make Gold City’s legendary singer, Tim Riley, your pick for favorite bass. We may be a tad bit prejudiced, but we think he’s the best there is, and we know you love him, too. So cast your vote today. The deadline of August 1st is fast approaching. Let’s make Tim Riley the winner!
PICK OUR SET LIST
The suggestions continue to pour into our office with your favorite Gold City songs. As mentioned in last week’s e-newsletter, we are opening up our Wednesday slot on the National Quartet Convention to our fans to decide what songs we will be singing that night. Wednesday, September 12, is All-Quartet Night at NQC, and so we thought it would be fun to have you all send in what songs you want to hear that night. So, email your three favorite Gold City song titles towww.goldcitynqcsongs@gmail.com. We are excited to see what we will be performing that evening. Voting ends August 31st, so get your suggestions in before then.
A LITTLE EXTRA
Also during NQC week, the Beckie Simmons Agency will be hosting a special presentation to honor Gold City for their four decades of number one hit songs. You’ll be hearing more about this in the weeks to come, but we are so excited we wanted to share the initial news with you this week.
SINGLE NEWS
