Winners of the 2014 Gospel Music Fan Awards Announced

(May 17, 2014 - Somerset, KY) Highlighting the final evening of the 10th annual Gospel Music FanFair in Somerset, Kentucky, Christian Voice Magazine presented the 2014 Gospel Music Fan Awards to an enthusiastic audience at The Center’s beautiful Performing Arts Theatre.

Both Michael Wayne Smith and newcomer Jesse Reece took home the 2014 ‘Male Horizon’ Award. This is the first time in the history of the Gospel Music Fan Awards that a category vote resulted in a tie.

The Parish Family won ‘Favorite Group’ as voted by Gospel music fans, and Jason Crabb nabbed the win for ‘Favorite Soloist.’ Crabb also won ‘Favorite Album’ for “Love Is Stronger,” while “But God” by The Steeles took first place as ‘Favorite Video.’

Gospel music fans voted in 25 categories beginning with an open nomination ballot in February, 2014. The Top Ten ballot was published in March, where fans placed their final votes. Here is the complete list of winners, as voted by Gospel music fans:

2014 Diamond Awards Nominations Concert Event

A Free Event - The SGN Scoops Diamond Awards Nomination Evening – April 3 at 7:30 pm, eastern

You won’t want to miss your opportunity to watch live and online an exciting evening of music, worship, and fun, at no cost. On April 3, 2014 at 7:30 pm, SGN Scoops Digital Magazine will announce the top 10 nominees for each category in the 2014 Diamond Awards. The SGN Scoops’ Diamond Awards Nominations will be broadcast live and online!
