(L to R) Randy Davis, Provident Distribution; Landon Beene, IMC/StowTown, Rhonda Thompson, StowTown Radio Promotions; TaRanda Greene; Geron Davis, Producer; Tony Wood, Songwriter, Terry Thompson, Studio Engineer
August 20, 2014 (Franklin, TN) StowTown Records welcomed its newest signing, TaRanda Greene, Monday morning with a pre-release launch party hosted by Provident Music Group.
The special gathering celebrated TaRanda’s brand new project Stronger, which is scheduled to hit the markets November 11.
Following a behind-the-scenes video that highlighted both the production and concentration of the album, TaRanda gave her heartfelt testimony and performed several standout selections that included: “Stronger”, a 2014 Dove Award nominee for Inspirational Song of the Year, as well as “Deepest Praise” and “Shackles”.
“We’re so excited to have TaRanda back and have been so looking forward to this record. It was so moving to hear some of these songs this morning,” said event emcee Randy Davis, VP of Sales at Provident Distribution. “StowTown is really making a move to the forefront of Southern Gospel/Inspirational music and TaRanda is a wonderful, wonderful addition to that, so we’re very excited about it.”
Stronger Producer Geron Davis was also in attendance and gave his thoughts about the project. TaRanda was thrilled to share this special occasion with so many of her biggest supporters and friends in the industry.
“These are the people that have seen everything, heard everything and done everything,” she explained. “So, I was nervous all morning and just praying that something would reach them to let them know where I’ve come from and where I am, and…like the music!”
TaRanda also lit up the room with a spectacular performance of her brand new single, “This Is Where Amazing Happens”.
“When I first heard the song, just the demo of it, I just started squalling and I knew it was my song…I knew I was supposed to sing it. I finally, after four years, believe that ‘this is where my amazing happens,” TaRanda added. “It’s the start of huge things, and finally I feel the flavor for life and the excitement for the future.”
“The title says it all…and it’s where I feel like I am right now. It’s not over. It’s just the beginning and this is where miracles begin.”

StowTown Records Signs TaRanda Greene
Front Row (L to R) TaRanda Greene, Carol Roundtree (Provident Distribution) Back Row (L to R) Wayne Haun, Ernie Haase, Landon Beene (StowTown Records)
July, 28, 2014 (Nashville, TN)… StowTown Records is thrilled to announce the signing of TaRanda Greene, one of Christian Music’s most popular and beloved performers.
TaRanda, who has been a featured vocalist for the Grammy-winning, world famous Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir in New York, is also a regular guest vocalist at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas, Shadow Mountain Community Church in San Diego and First Baptist Church Atlanta.
“TaRanda is one of my favorite singers of all time. When she sings, it’s obvious this was what she was born to do,” said StowTown Records co-founder Wayne Haun. “The songs she has chosen for this new recording are some of the best I’ve heard in a long time. And, of course, the delivery is stellar. We are so glad she has chosen StowTown to bring you this new music.”
TaRanda has already obtained the prestigious honor of being the first female soloist to receive a top ranking on The Singing News Magazine’s Top 40 Radio Airplay Chart with her very popular and recognizable hit “Sky Full of Angels”.
“As a soloist, it’s important to stay connected to a group you believe in and who believes in you. I couldn’t be happier to be a part of the StowTown family,” said TaRanda. “And that’s exactly why – it feels like a family. I’m certain only the best is yet to come.”
“Ernie (Haase), Wayne (Haun) and Landon (Beene) have poured strength, energy and encouragement into me and my music, and now they are helping give me wings to soar by making me a part of the StowTown family. I’m incredibly thrilled to be here.”
Her brand new project, Stronger, which was specifically produced and designed for her church audience, will make its StowTown debut on November 11.
Produced by Geron Davis and orchestrated by Bradley Knight, the album features the aforementioned Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Christ Church Choir of Nashville, Wess Morgan, Sonya Isaacs-Yeary, Jason Crabb and The Martins.

“This project has been three years in the making because it’s not just another recording. It’s been my journey and my life through loss, clinical depression, loneliness and fear – all turned into hope, encouragement, and the love and faithfulness of God,” explained TaRanda. “Stronger isn't just a word or a song…it’s who I am. And I’m grateful to present my life to you to give you hope in your conflict and peace in your painful days.”
“Through Christ we realize it’s not our strength, but His…and through Him we are made STRONGER!”

AN OPEN LETTER FROM TARANDA GREENE

Dear Friends,
I want to say a very special "Thank You" to each and every one for all of your love, prayers, encouragement and support during this very difficult time in my life. It's during a time like this that one finds who your true friends are, and I have been blessed with so many of you. It has been a few weeks of overwhelming emotions, but through it all, the Lord has been wonderful! Tony's home-going Celebration was truly that...a celebration of his life and ministry. Tony was my husband and my companion in life, and I loved him with all my heart. Saying goodbye has been the hardest thing I have ever had to face. Yet, I can truthfully say that over the last few years I have felt the Lord preparing my heart for this upcoming heartbreak. Honestly, our life was not always easy or perfect. As everyone does, we went through our trials and storms of life, but as we sang and encouraged night after night...we held on! The Lord has been faithful to walk through each and every trial. I am still holding on, and I'm still trusting in His plan.
Tony was my biggest encourager and always pushed me to sing. I have been very blessed over the last few years with amazing opportunities. I look back on all of it as a time of preparation for this new day. The very best way I can remember Tony is to do what I know he would want me to do: I will sing! I will hurt, and I will grieve. I will share with our precious girls every memory of their wonderful father who loved them. I will take each day one step at a time. I will look forward to what life has ahead for me. I will cling and hold on to the relationships and friendships that have carried me through. And, I will sing.
There have been questions and speculation about my future and the future of The Greenes. I can acknowledge that we will have formal announcements at a later date, but for now, my current plans include taking some time to rest. I will honor some singing engagements I committed to in November and December. These events inlude some cruises, a West Coast tour, and Christmas with The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. I plan on filling these upcoming dates solo, sharing my music, songs of The Greenes, my memories and my story. John Jeffrey, who played the piano with our ministry for over five years, will continue to accompany me as pianist. Jeff Synder also has plans for his own future, and we are excited for him. We all covet your prayers and your support. I know this will not be easy, but it is what I feel in my heart I must do, and I know the Lord will continue to walk with me every step of the way. I look forward to seeing each one of you along the journey.
Love,
TaRanda
