Kenny Parsons Of Indian Trail, North Carolina Joins The Promise

Indian Trail, NC (September 27, 2013) Folks familiar with Southern Gospel Music around Indian Trail, North Carolina know the voice of Kenny Parsons. He sang regularly as a soloist in the Celebration Choir at First Baptist Church Indian Trail for several years and has a God-given vocal talent that is highly anointed.
Kenny grew up singing almost constantly, and then a few years ago, his voice went silent. Kenny decided to take an extended break from Gospel music. A few months ago, Kenny re-committed his life to the Lord. He felt something was missing and called his long-time friend, Rick Blessing of THE PROMISE to see if he could attend one of their practice sessions. As he sang with the group during rehearsal, the presence of the Holy Spirit was so evident that he was invited to join them at their next engagement in Georgia the following Sunday. Kenny will be joining the group for select dates.
Kenny’s father, Ken, is no stranger to Gospel Music. He is an ordained minister and one of the best Bluegrass banjo players around. There were many people praying for Kenny to return to Gospel Music, but none were praying more than his father and his step-mother Laurae. What are Ken’s thought on Kenny joining THE PROMISE? Ken stated, “ I have prayed for so long that God would stir Kenny's heart to use his anointed voice and talents for God's glory and I am more convinced than ever of God's faithfulness! Kenny has been through allot but the God we serve is greater than all of our storms.”
Kenny and his wife, Mindy have seven children and reside in Indian Trail, North Carolina.
“Kenny’s addition allows him to sing with his long-time friend, Rick Blessing. Rick, Mandy and I, along with our families are thrilled have Kenny with us!” states Debra Carter Peele, founder and leader of THE PROMISE.
The Promise’s most recent Daywind radio release went to #1 nationally on Music to Radio and was a Pick Hit in The Singing News. They are 2012 NQC Showcase Winners and also 2012 Diamond Award Top 10 Finalists. Most recently, they have appeared on TBN. Members of the group are: Rick Blessing, Mandy Wing Foster and founder, Debra Carter Peele.

Indian Trail, NC (September 5, 2013) The Promise Partnership Ministries, Inc. welcomes a new vocalists to the group.
When Mandy Wing Foster was three years old, her first solo was “I AM A PROMISE.” Now Mandy will be joining the group, The Promise (formerly Promise Trio) to sing soprano. Debra Carter Peele, leader of the successful group states: “ Mandy has been an understudy for over a year. She had filled in only once, but she never missed a practice and her attitude has been wonderful. She is a highly anointed singer and we are honored to have her join this ministry.”
Mandy replaces Tina McKinney Booth, who left this month at the leading of the Holy Spirit to build her new business, “Tina’s Sound Booth.” She is also forming a new women’s group.
We had no idea that the person the Lord would bring forward would also be a member of First Baptist Church Indian Trail where Debra and Rick are also members.
The Promise’s most recent radio release, “Repair the Old Altar” written by Kyla Rowland and produced by Marty Funderburk, went to #1 on Music to Radio and was selected as a pick hit on the Signing News Chart.

Mandy majored in Music Education at The University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, earning her degree in 2001. In the last couple of years, Mandy has also written two books with Christian ministries: Remember Me, written for Broken Hearts Ministries, and Without Walls, for Garden of Hope Ministries. Mandy has always loved using whatever gifts, talents and opportunities the Lord has given her for His glory, and her passion is to tell others about the love and saving grace of her Lord, Jesus Christ through music and the creative arts.
