Jimmy Yeary Garners Big Music Row Song of the Year Award
Nashville, TN (July 28, 2013) Multi-award winning songwriter Jimmy Yeary won the Music Row song of the year for his Country Music Hit “I Drive Your Truck”. The song was written by Jimmy Yeary, Connie Harrington and Jessie Alexander. Country star Lee Brice recorded the song on his CD “Hard 2 Love”.
The song went to number 1 on the US Country Airplay Billboard chart in May of this year.
The song tells the story about a man driving a truck owned by his brother, who passed away in action in the United States Army. It is his way of dealing with the loss of his brother. In the interview he talks of driving his son’s truck to feel close to him.
Jimmy stated, “I feel so blessed to get to do what I love. To have so many people hear the songs you write is every songwriters dream. I love working with so many gifted writers and performers.”
This week he has the #1 Billboard song in country music again. Jake Owen's "Anywhere With You". Co-written with Ben Hayslip and David Lee Murphy.
