Guy Penrod Opens Up To Country Weekly

Guy Penrod Discusses Family, Faith and Future In Deeply Personal Interview On Stands Now

Nashville, TN (March 14, 2011) -- Guy Penrod recently spoke with Country Weekly magazine's Deborah Evans Price, and the result is a deeply personal interview in which the talented vocalist openly discusses family, faith and the future. Penrod reveals his Grandfather's final words of advice, and explains how those words would motivate him to take a huge chance with his career. "After a very successful 14-year run with The Gaither Vocal Band, I opted to do something I had wanted to do for 22 years," Guy says. "I stepped out on my own and made a country album, BREATHE DEEP."

The feature offers insights into the challenges Guy faced in going out on his own; how he chose the disc's songs; his approach to country music, and his thoughts on where that music will take him. The new CD is country - and it's a resounding success, earning high sales figures, accolades galore, and two solo artist Dove Award nominations (2010) for Guy (Country Album of the Year, Country Recorded Song of the Year). His current single, "Pray About Everything," is chart-active and a winner with Guy's fans.
