Atlanta, GA.(January 21, 2013) – WATC Television out of Atlanta, Georgia, will be airing the SGNScoops’ 2012 Diamond Awards Celebration held at Creekside Gospel Music Convention on October 30, 2012. Coastal Media Group hosted the event to honor Gospel music’s finest artists as chosen by the readers of SGNScoops digital magazine. The gala event was emceed by Christy Sutherland and Daniel Ball and included performances by Sheri Easter, Gerald Crabb, Jason Crabb, Crosby Lane and Watts, Rowsey and Bean, among others. Many of these special moments will be shown on this TV Special to be aired Saturday, January 26th at 1:00pm EST.
Patricia Mathis and her crew of WATC TV, Atlanta’s TV 57, recorded the 2012 Diamond Awards. Danny Norman's "Love Without Warning" Releases to National Radio this Week
{EHA-Nashville, TN} Award-winning Christian Country Artist, Danny Norman announces his lastest national single, Love Without Warning. The song goes to radio through promoter, Jim Robinette this week on January 1st.
This song is off Danny's latest project that was coordinated by one of Nashville’s favorite producers, Robb Tripp. Danny was a top 10 nominee in the 2012 Diamond Awards for Male Vocalist of the Year. He also placed in the Top 10 for Sunrise Artist of the Year and was in the Top 10 for Album of the Year in the Artist Music Guild. His album release, The Promised Land was a 2012 AMG Heritage Awards Nomination.
Danny’s latest music video, Reasons, produced by Catacomb Music, quickly surpassed 100,000 views shorty after its release to YouTube in February 2012. He took part in the 2012 National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY and continues to touch lives and help bring the listeners’ own goals of serving Christ back into focus with his music.
His orginal songs have been favorites among fans for many years and he continues to strive to meet his mission in Love Without Warning.

Rhonda Mitchell-Frye Receives Coveted Lou Hildreth Award
EHA-Nashville} SGNScoops Editor in Chief, Rhonda Mitchell-Frye, of Ringgold, GA took home the coveted Lou Hildreth Award presented at the Diamond Awards Ceremony last week during the Creekside Gospel Music Convention.
The multi-talented, minister, speaker, performer, and worship leader who is known for her servant’s heart, is no stranger to the Southern Gospel arena. She is multi-awarded for her songwriting talent and performances with NACMI in several catergories, including; “Most Promising Album of the Year,” “Most Promising Songwriter of the Year,”and ”Horizon Female Vocalist of the Year.”
Rhonda’s heart for the ministry is evident as Associate and Worship Pastor at Rock Pointe Church and as she teaches “Mini-Music”-a preschool music/movement program. Rhonda’s music ministry includes a diverse and progressive program that appeals to Southern Gospel, Praise and Worship, and Contemporary music fans.
Lou Hildreth notes, “At the 2012 Diamond Awards, a very special young lady was presented the ‘Lou Hildreth Award’ in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the gospel music industry. It is my privilege each year to designate the recipient of this award, and Rhonda Frye, the dynamic young Editor-In-Chief of SGN Scoops, is without question the right choice. Rhonda demonstrates her love for Gospel music in total dedication to the artists and the industry. Christy Sutherland And Daniel Ball To Host 2012 Diamond Awards
Seattle, WA (October 24, 2012) –SGN Scoops is excited to announce the hosts for the 2012 Diamond Awards at Creekside Gospel Music Convention, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Singer/songwriter Christy Sutherland and Daniel Ball of the Ball Brothers will be hosting the Awards gala on Tuesday, October 30th. The Diamond Awards is a free event, featuring performances by Crosby Lane, The Ball Brothers, Phil Stacey and Gerald Crabb, along with other exiting artists. Sutherland and Ball will be joined by other special presenters to announce the winners of the prestigious Diamond Awards.
“Three of my favorite things are: singing, comedy and fishing,” says Daniel Ball. “I’ve never figured out how to combine all three until now. I am thrilled for the opportunity to help host the Diamond Awards at the Creekside Gospel Music Convention. The Ball Brothers will be performing and I’m sure we’ll get some humor into the awards show, whether it’s planned or not. No one has said anything about fishing, but I figure where there is a creek, there are fish! This will be a lot of fun.”

Creekside Gospel Music Convention October 29,30, 31 in Pigeon Forge, TN
SGNScoops is proud to present the Creekside Gospel Music Convention next week, October 29,30,31 at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The three day event will feature some of the best in Southern Gospel Music as well as celebrations of milestones and achievements in the Gospel Music Industry. WATC Channel 57 out of Atlanta will capture the highlights of the Creekside Gospel Music Convention and will air a special program in December. Below is a description of the activities and events of the Creekside Gospel Music Convention and remember ALL EVENTS ARE FREE TO THE PUBLIC!
On Monday evening at 7:00pm, we will celebrate 75 years in Gospel Music with Mrs. Lou Wills Hildreth! This celebration will include performances by special guests and will be hosted by Tim Lovelace. This evening will be a great night of honoring a living legend in Gospel Music and everyone is invited!
Before the Lou Hildreth Celebration begins at 7:00pm, there will be a “Pre-Show” at 5:30 pm. This Pre-Show will include artist performances by Phil Cross, Promise, Channing Eleton and more.An evening concert will follow Ms. Lou’s Celebration and will include performances by Declaration Trio, Triumphant, The Youngs and others.
On Tuesday morning, the fellowship continues! There will be a 9:30 a.m. chapel service and then an afternoon musical matinee will take place. From noon until 3:00pm, artist performances will include The Williamsons, Omega, Christy Sutherland, Ann Downing, Logan Smith along with many more.
The Diamond Awards Show will be presented on Tuesday evening at 7:00pm. For the last several months, fans voted for their favorite artists and groups in 23 different categories. The final five nominees, along with the winner of each category, will be announced. Special artist performances during the Diamond Awards Show will include the Ball Brothers, David Bryan, Gerald Crabb, Phil Stacey, Watts, Rowsey, Bean and others. The evening will also feature the debut of a brand new group, Crosby Lane. The night’s special event will be hosted by soloist Christy Sutherland and Daniel Ball of the Ball Brothers.
The Diamond Awards Pre-Show will begin at 5:30pm on Tuesday afternoon and will continue until the Diamond Awards begin at 7:00pm. Following the Diamond Awards, performances from many artists and groups will continue until 11:00 p.m.
Wednesday morning, October 31, the Chapel Service will begin at 9:30am with a short devotion and time of worship. The afternoon concert, from noon until 3:00pm will feature David Bryan, Pine Ridge Boys, Ava Kasich, Renaissance Revival, The Griffins and more. From 3:00pm – 11:00pm, the fellowship and music continues with an Evening Concert showcasing Lindsay Huggins, Rhonda Frye, Lisa Herald, In His Image Quartet, Faith’s Journey and others.

Creekside Gospel Music Convention Welcomes Ann Downing

Declaration and Promise to Appear at Creekside Gospel Music Convention
Seattle, WA (October 16, 2012) – SGN Scoops and Coastal Media Group are pleased to announce the appearance of 2012 Diamond Award nominees Declaration and Promise at Creekside Gospel Music Convention, October 29-31, 2012. These talented male trios have made a splash in Southern Gospel in the last two years and Creekside welcomes the addition of their strong, traditional tight harmonies. Promise and Declaration join an exciting lineup of artists at the Pigeon Forge event, which is free to all attendees.
From Knoxville, Tennessee, Promise is a trio with experienced vocalists and a professional presentation. Fresh from an appearance on the main stage at the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, Kentucky, this group brings a youthful edge to the Creekside program.

Declaration’s members have a solid background in Southern Gospel and exhibit a dedication to excellence in vocal talent. This up-and-coming young trio from Nashville tours with The Booth Brothers and has an energetic presentation that will thrill all ages.

Ball Brothers To Appear At Creekside Gospel Music Convention

WATC TV IN ATLANTA, GEORGIA TO BROADCAST HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE CREEKSIDE GOSPEL MUSIC CONVENTION IN DECEMBER
WATC TV 57 in Atlanta, Georgia has announced that the station will be videotaping
during the upcoming Creekside Gospel Music Convention in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
for an upcoming special to be aired in December 2012. Highlights of the convention
including Lou Hildreth’s 75 Years in Gospel Music Celebration on October 29 and the
Diamond Awards on October 30 will be included in the broadcast.
“We appreciate Rob Patz of SGNScoops and the Creekside Gospel Music
Convention for allowing WATC to be a part,” said Greg West, Program Director of
WATC TV. “We look forward to this being the first year of many more years to come of
bringing this event into the homes of viewers in Atlanta, Georgia and beyond.”

Jim Sheldon Honored with 2 Diamond Award Nominations
DANVILLE, Ky. – (September 3, 2012) – Homeland Inspiration Group recording artist Jim Sheldon received news earlier that he has made the final ballot for the upcoming 2012 Diamond Awards in two separate categories.
Jim received first time nominations this year. His nominations are in the following categories:
