Boone, NC - Popular singer, songwriter, author and radio host, Janet Paschal has added yet one more credit to her long list of honors and accolades. When the August issue of The Singing News Magazine hits newsstands and homes of subscribers nationwide, for the very first time, Janet Pachal will have the NUMBER ONE song on the Southern Gospel Top 80 Chart. Shortly after Vine Records & Crossroads Entertainment released “Hide Me, Sweet Rock Of Ages” to Southern Gospel radio stations nationwide, the song made it’s debut on The Singing News Top 80 Chart at #39 in the March issue of the Magazine. Since that time the song has steadily made it’s climb to the top of the Chart, receiving airplay at radio stations nationwide.
“Hide Me, Sweet Rock Of Ages” marks the debut release from Paschal’s Treasure recording, which hit retail outlets in November, 2008. The recording’s release coincided with the release of Paschal’s latest literary work, Treasures of the Snow, which chronicles her battle with cancer and her triumphant story of victory. An advocate for cancer awareness, Paschal launched a brand new radio series, Walking The Good Road and community website, www.janetandfriends.com, earlier this year. The radio series airs of JOY FM’s network of stations, covering seven states.
Paschal is enjoying a busy summer promoting her book and CD. Her travels throughout the remainder of 2009 include tour dates in the US and Canada, as well as an extended European Tour with the Gaither Vocal Band, performing in 12 countries.
