From the moment Crabb heard “Love Is Stronger,” he knew the song would touch hearts. “Jay DeMarcus, my producer, brought this song to me,” Crabb shares. “I immediately knew I had to record it this song - I knew it would touch people because it touched me. My wife Shellye was going through some very hard times when this song came into our lives - it helped me and I knew it would help others.

 

The song later came to life through a video directed by award-winner Roman White. Debuting nationally on USAToday.com, the video stars Ashley DeRamus, a young lady living with Downs Syndrome, bringing awareness to those living with the disease.

Christian Davis Enters Agreement With AG Publicity

Nashville, TN (September 20, 2013) Multi-award nominated Christian Davis is well known for singing bass with the bluegrass group, Dailey and Vincent, but he also has a successful solo career. He is also known for his studio work singing on recordings for Dolly Parton and Bill Gaither's Homecoming Video Series. Christian began to sing at age three, and throughout his childhood he learned to play various instruments. Later that year Dr. Jerry Falwell, with Christian's persuasion, formed the Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet, which Christian began as the original bass singer. He has since sung with other quartets such as the Old Friends Quartet (while George Younce was ill), Christian Brothers Quartet and Mercy's Mark.

Pictures’ Joyful Noise debuts this week at #1 on Billboard’s Soundtrack Chart, #1 on the Billboard Gospel chart, #2 on Billboard’s Christian chart, #2 on the Billboard Independent Current Albums chart, and landed a Top 20 debut on Billboard’s Top Current Albums chart.

The soundtrack features performances by Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and Oscar® nominee Dolly Parton; Oscar® nominee, Grammy® and Golden Globe Award winner Queen Latifah; BET and NAACP Award winner Keke Palmer; 11-time Singing News® female vocalist of the year, three-time Grammy® nominee and three-time Dove nominee Karen Peck; and seven-time Grammy®, 35-time Stellar, 12-time Dove, five-time NAACP, and two-time BET Music Award winner Kirk Franklin. The small town of Pacashau, Georgia, has fallen on hard times, but the people are counting on the Divinity Church Choir to lift their spirits by winning the National Joyful Noise Competition. The choir has always known how to sing in harmony, but the discord between its two leading ladies now threatens to tear them apart. Their newly appointed director, Vi Rose Hill (Latifah), stubbornly wants to stick with their tried-and-true traditional style, while the fiery G.G. Sparrow (Parton) thinks tried-and-true translates to tired-and-old. Shaking things up even more is the arrival of G.G.’s rebellious grandson, Randy (Jeremy Jordan). Dolly Parton will receive prestigious James D. Vaughan Award

The Southern Gospel Music Association (SGMA) will award its 2010 James D. Vaughan "Impact Award" to Dolly Parton, according to Executive Director Charlie Waller. Waller said that the award is presented to those whose careers make a significant impact on the Southern gospel music industry and expand the scope of the music.

“Dolly Parton is the most honored female country performer of all time," he said. "Her efforts on behalf of our music at Dollywood have been instrumental in the establishment of our museum and hall of fame as well as providing a home for many of our artists to share their talents on the stages at Dollywood in front of millions of people."

He added that the Country Music Hall of Fame member has encouraged tremendous opportunities for the exposure of Southern gospel music on television, recordings, and in live performance venues throughout her career.

Parton plans to appear in person to accept the honor on Sept. 29, 2010 at the SGMA Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Singing News Fan Awards. The event is at DP's Celebrity Theatre inside Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

Past recipients of the award include: Bill Gaither, James Blackwood, Les Beasley, Bob Brumley, Mosie Lister, Paul Heil, Eva Mae LeFevre, J.G. Whitfield, Lari Goss and Barbara Mandrell.

Tickets are $70, which includes admission to Dollywood, free parking, lunch, and reserved seating for the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony/Singing News Fan Awards. Dollywood will be open and all shows, rides and shops will be operating.
