Press Release August 7, 2010 – Williamsburg KY.
46-year-old Rev. Troy Cupp of the southern gospel group known as The Cupps is currently in the hospital recovering from a fall from his church roof.
Rev. Cupp was working around his church on Wednesday, August 4th, and needed some tools which he had left at his church’s food pantry building. After returning to the food pantry, Mr. Cupp discovered he had forgotten one of the tools on the roof where he had been working the day before. In a hurry to recover the tools and return back to the church, he fell 15 feet on to a concrete slab, injuring his neck, arm, ankles, and foot.
Rev. Cupp then dragged himself to the road where someone found him. He was airlifted to the UT Hospital in Knoxville, TN where he is currently listed in stable condition. He is expected to be released soon and then transferred to a rehabilitation center where he will undergo physical therapy.
