Guy Penrod Joins Country Celebrities In Support of Gulf Relief Awareness Campaign
His Solo European Tour Underway
Nashville, TN (August 2, 2010) -- Guy Penrod recently joined country celebrities Sammy Kershaw, Kellie Pickler, Zac Brown Band, Bo Bice, Colt Ford, Ashton Shepherd, Wade Hayes and GAC hosts Storme Warren and Suzanne Alexander in support of The sp(OIL)ed Campaign. Penrod posed for photographer Kevin White, who was in Music City snapping celebrity shots for www.nicholaslandryevents.com/spoiled on behalf of www.protectourcoastline.org. The two groups are working diligently to raise awareness and funding to support relief and restoration efforts in the Gulf.
"Joining this movement was important to me personally," says Guy Penrod. "Our natural resources are already challenged, and so many people just aren't aware of the possible long-term effects of this oil spill. I truly hope this campaign will bring the importance of good stewardship home to every American."
Penrod, whose debut country radio single, "Are You The One," is currently #58 on the Billboard Country Indicator Chart, launched his International tour yesterday with a show in Sweden. The tour takes him to six countries and a variety of venues, and supports his first solo country CD, BREATHE DEEP, produced by Brent Rowan (Joe Nichols, Blake Shelton) for Servant Records.
ABOUT The sp[OIL]ed Campaign:
A photographic movement created by New Orleans photographer, Matthew Arthur, and NLE founder, Nicholas Landry, in direct response to the massive oil spill off the coast of Louisiana. NLE has teamed with www.protectourcoastline.org, a nonprofit organization founded to raise money to provide relief to those facing financial devastation and to help save Louisiana's Wetlands.
