Christian Music Nights This Weekend”
Dahlonega, GA – Karen Peck & New River is set to host their annual Christian Music Nights in Dahlonega, GA this weekend. The two-day event will feature the music of Karen Peck & New River, Brian Free & Assurance, Jeff & Sheri Easter, Mark Bishop, CS & K and the New River Band. Admission is a $15 donation at the gate for adults, $5.00 for youth (13-17yrs), while children under 12 are free. A shuttle from the parking area and concessions will be available both days. Don’t miss this exciting event of the best in Southern Gospel music!
Karen Peck & New River is currently nominated in four categories in the Top 5 2011 Singing News Fan Awards. The nominations include Trio, Favorite Female Singer (Karen Peck Gooch), Horizon Individual (Jeff Hawes) and Soprano (Karen Peck Gooch). Fan Award nominations are based on votes by Singing News Magazine subscribers. The awards will be handed out during a ceremony on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The night will also include the prestigious SGMA Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. The entire event is ticketed and open to the public.
The Singing News nominations landed on the heels of Karen Peck & New River releasing “On The Banks of The Promised Land” to radio stations world-wide. The brand new single can be found on the group’s forthcoming album, Reach Out, which releases July 12, 2011. It was produced by award-winning producer, Wayne Haun. Meanwhile, Karen just wrapped production on the mainstream movie, Joyful Noise, starring Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton. Throughout 2011, Karen Peck & New River is celebrating 20 years in Gospel music.
