On Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 Rockwood, TN's very own Live Southern
Gospel Band "BEN*JAM" and it's members dominated the TCGMA/GCGMA (i.e.
"Tennessee Country - Gospel Music Association" & "Georgia Country -
Gospel Music Association") Awards, held in Dalton, GA. With very tough
competition, judged by music industry professional from BMI Nashville.
At the end of the evening BEN*JAM won CD & Video of 2011, & Most
Promising Band of 2011. Benjamin Blankenship won 2 Songwriter of 2011
awards. Jonelle Blankenship won Horizon Vocalist of 2011. Kristie Quinn
won Instrumentalist & Songwriter of 2011. Kristie Quinn (BEN*JAM's
newest member) belongs to the Georgia Chapter of the association; all
others mentioned belong to and won on behalf of the great state of
Tennessee.
