Tara Jackson Releases 'Love Come Down'

LOVE COME DOWN, Tara Jackson's sophomore album released to a world-wide audience today, May 21

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE // May 21, 2013 // BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Christian music recording artist, Tara Jackson, is excited to announce that her highly-anticipated sophomore solo project, Love Come Down, is now available world-wide via iTunes, AmazonMP3.com, and her website TaraJacksonOnline.com.

Following her successful debut album of 2008, Tara teamed with veteran songwriters/producers Jay Speight (Newsong, Travis Tritt) and Tyrus Morgan (Newsong) on the new project. The collaboration resulted in a smartly polished collection of bright pop melodies and moving ballads.

“Love Come Down is an honest reflection of where I've been, where I am, and who God is molding me to be,” Tara says. “Music, by its very nature, is an outpouring of triumphs and trials, stories set to song that encourage and uplift others. I was very intentional in making sure each song spoke deeply to me—testifying to God’s goodness and grace in my own life—and it’s my prayer they will speak to others’ hearts as well.”

The new project has already received acclaim from BREATHEcast.com. "In our age of overstatement where artists trump on loud stadium building sounds and clever polytechnics," the site states, "Jackson uses just her voice. [The] well-invested emotional verities within her voice have a way of moving these God-centered songs from just our speaker way into our heart."

Tara Jackson - New Album Kickstarter Campaign Continues

Greetings from Birmingham, Alabama! My husband, Kyle, and I completed our move to Birmingham a little less than 2 weeks ago with the help of some incredible family, friends, and church members. A MASSIVE "THANK YOU" to everyone who assisted in packing and moving furniture and boxes. We could NOT have done it without you! Needless to say, "Pack the Truck Day" proved to be an adventure as seen in the picture below of many men hoisting part of our couch over the balcony of our apartment, and lowering it to the ground. It was much faster than trying to get it out the door. :)

Tara Jackson Announces Kickstart Campaign for New Release

What a difference a couple months make! Since I last wrote to you, some pretty AMAZING things have happened! My husband, Kyle, was offerred and accepted a full-time soccer job in Birmingham, AL. After this weekend, I will officially be an Alabama resident! It all happened REALLY fast, but we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this move is at God's leading. We have been praying for a very long time about a full-time job for Kyle, and when God starts answering prayers, He doesn't waste any time! As I write this, I am surrounded by moving boxes (some full, some to-be-filled) that will be put on a truck later this week. When we pull out of Nashville on Friday, it will mark the end of living here for almost 10 years. This city has been wonderful to both of us, but we know God has great adventures ahead of us in Birmingham!

So, what does this move mean for me? It means that I get to concentrate on my music ministry full time! People have asked me what my job will be in Birmingham, and my answer is, "Music ministry!" A crucial and essential part of my ministry is the completion of my second album. This is where YOU can help.

My name is Tara Jackson, and I currently reside in Nashville (or Nashvegas!), TN. I started out singing in church at the age of 5, and didn’t stop. I’ve been traveling and singing full-time since 2006, and have sung in Russia, Canada, and England!

1. Please tell us the name of your latest recording and your favorite song from that CD. What is the message behind this song?
Tara Jackson, Tara Jackson
In Christ Alone – This song serves as a constant reminder that my hope, your hope, our hope, lies with Christ. He took everything on so that we could live and have life more abundant!

2. What is one group highlight from the last 12 months?
Having the opportunity to give my first sermonette at my Dad’s church in Thomasville, NC. I was asked to be the special guest speaker and singer for their Baptist Women’s Day. Pretty humbling and a gratifying experience!

3. Have you been on a mission trip? If you have, where did you go? If you haven’t, would you like to and where would you want to go?
Yes, I have. I went to Sochi & Moscow in Russia with a music missions team. But if asked, I would gladly go minister to the people of Hawaii. J

4. What artist are you listening to right now?
Depends on the day. My musical taste is extremely varied, so it includes a LOT of different music. But in my CD player right now is Kelly Clarkson’s new album.

5. Brush with greatness…who have you met that you couldn’t wait to tell your friends and family about?
Nicole Kidman – She and I share a love for something here in Nashville, but if I told you, I’d have to kill you. J

6. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Fly. I love feeling the wind in my face – minus the bugs.

7. What would be your fantasy venue, the one stage in the world where you would like to sing?
Royal Albert Hall in London, England or the Ryman Auditorium

8. Who is your most favorite Bible person/character?
Esther – When faced with possible death and losing everything and everyone she loves, instead of caving in to self-pity and sorrow, she trusted God and his wisdom to take care of it all. She stepped out in faith and in turn, proved God’s faithfulness.

9. What is your favorite Bible verse?
Psalm 37:4 – “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

10. What is your favorite thing to shop for?
Yarn! I know it sounds crazy, but my crochet hobby has me hunting all the time for new yarn! J
