The Bowling Family Signs With Daywind Records

Hendersonville, TN (July 30, 2014) Daywind Records is pleased to announce the addition of the Bowling Family to its award-winning roster of artists.

The Bowling Family is a mixed group that consists of Mike and Kelly Bowling, their 14-year-old daughter Hope, vocalist Troy Peach and pianist John Jeffrey.

“Kelly and I are really thrilled to be a part of the Daywind family once again,” says group manager and lead singer Mike Bowling. “I don't believe any record company has ever had more of an impact on Southern Gospel Music. We are truly excited to be part of this team, and we have such love and respect for all of Daywind’s artists. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Mike Bowling previously sang with the Lefevres, Hinsons and Perrys before embarking on an award-winning solo career, while Kelly Bowling helped her ever-popular family, the Crabb Family, win three GRAMMY Awards and 11 Dove Awards during its period of existence. Peach has been a part of various ministries – including the Wilburns, the Steeles and the Perrys – while Jeffrey was previously with the Greenes.

Mike Bowling left his successful solo career to form what was then called the Mike Bowling Group in 2005, and
Kelly Bowling joined the group in 2006. Since that time, the group has produced four No. 1 songs – “We Have a Savior,” “Your Cries Have Awoken the Master,” “A Miracle Today” and “Notified.”

“The Bowling Family is no stranger to the fans of Southern Gospel Music, and we are thrilled to have them as part of our family here at Daywind,” explains Daywind president Ed Leonard. “For a number of years, fans have shown their love for Mike’s distinctive voice, and Kelly was part of a family that helped broaden horizons in this genre. The group has burst on to the scene, and we are looking forward to seeing all of the doors that will undoubtedly open as the excitement continues to grow

About The Bowlings
The group consists of Mike Bowling and his wife, Kelly, their daughter Hope and longtime friend Troy Peach. They bring you their stories and songs in a way that is reminiscent of days gone by. To watch them perform reminds us of a time when "all night singings" were the norm, and folks lined up early to visit with the singers and musicians. As in most things, musical styles come full circle. What is old is new, and what is new is old!! Musically, Mike, Kelly, Hope and Troy make us realize this. Somehow they have created a sound that is as refreshing as the sounds of the early 70s. Mike has often been referred to as the vocal stylist of the day; however, the completion is so obvious with Kelly, Hope and Troy by his side. History will note that they have been true to the excellence of their ability without diminishing or distancing the listener.

Daywind Records is home to an award-winning roster of artists, including Brian Free and Assurance, Greater Vision, Karen Peck and New River, Legacy Five and the Nelons. Daywind is distributed to retail through New Day Christian Distributors, Select-O-Hits, and all major digital outlets, including iTunes. Crabb Family’s New Recording Hits the Street and National Airwaves

Websites Offer Exclusive Interview and FREE Download with The Crabb Family’s Together Again
NASHVILLE, Tenn.—February 8th, 2012—Together Again (Gaither Music Group), the all-new studio recording from the multiple award-winning Crabb Family, hit shelves and online stores everywhere this week. The ten-song release, produced by lead singer and GRAMMY® Award-winning solo artist Jason Crabb, offers fans the first new music from the popular siblings in several years.

An extensive tv and media campaign surrounding the new release began this past weekend on networks including GAC, GMC, RFD, FamilyNet, TBN, INSP, CTS, CTN, Grace, Legacy, FFE, Miracle and Airtime. Gaither.com is currently featuring an exclusive interview with the entire Crabb Family. Members of hearitfirst.com can log on, starting today, to get a FREE download from the new release.
Coinciding with a recent, limited run of national tour dates that the group has just completed, Together Again was recorded with a vocal approach that was musically different for the group, which traveled together for around 15 years, garnering national attention and recognitions.

Apparently, the new style is working as the release has already been described by one reviewer as the group’s best album to date--a big statement given the siblings’ history of hit songs and glowing reviews.

Together Again includes three songs written by the award-winning country writer Neil Thrasher (who co-wrote Jason’s solo hit “Somebody Like Me”) in addition to tunes written by such industry pacesetters as their father, Gerald Crabb; Sue C. Smith; Lee Black; David Moffitt; Gina Boe; Don Poythress; Ronnie Freeman; Stephanie Lewis and Caleb Collins. The recording also features two songs co-written by Jason alongside longtime friend Sonya Isaacs Yeary, country tunesmith Jimmy Yeary, as well as Carl Cartee and Barry Weeks.

“If There Ever Was a Time,” the first single from the new release, is currently playing at radio stations nationwide. The song, a pick hit at several southern Gospel charting stations, just hit the Top 10 New Release chart for February according to reporting stations for The Singing News Magazine.

Siblings Jason, Adam, Aaron, Kelly and Terah, known as The Crabb Family, took the Christian music industry by storm in the 90’s with their signature brand of country-tinged Gospel, live stage band and powerhouse musical arrangements. The Crabb Family took home 11 GMA DOVE Awards, garnered three GRAMMY® nominations, and blurred the lines between Christian music genres with recordings and nominations ranging from bluegrass to black Gospel.

Their family blends became a hit on platforms varying from the Gaither HOMECOMING stages and “The Grand Ole Opry” to the Brooklyn Tabernacle and Carnegie Hall. Their downhome appearances, highlighted by songs written by the group’s original founder Gerald Crabb, made them a household name in the southern Gospel music community and a “new favorite” across several genres. Heralded by the industry and fans alike, the group produced numerous Top 10 hits and 16 number one hits.

Together Again is now available digitally and at retail stores everywhere. It is distributed exclusively by EMI CMG Distribution. For further information regarding The Crabb Family, visit www.thecrabbfamily.com.

C&C Music Group Signs Heritage Crossing

C&C MUSIC GROUP REACHES AN EXCLUSIVE RECORDING AND MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT WITH Heritage Crossing is made up of the McKinney Family - Wade, Lisa, Marissa who is 17, Zack-14, & Caleb-6. This family travels full-time averaging 4-6 services a week in revivals, camp meetings, crusades, and concerts across the USA. They have served as Senior Pastors and in multiple para-church leadership rolls.

Wade and Lisa's families sang regionally throughout Southeast and Northeast Texas for years. Wade's grandfather, Mordie Marcontell was a bass singer with family quartets that sang to open for the greats such as THE STATESMEN, BLACKWOOD BROTHERS, and were regulars at Stamps Baxter singing schools in Lisa's family THE BAKERS sang in revivals and concerts. When they married 20 years ago, they sang with Wade's sister as HERITAGE. As Marissa came of age and began to sing that third part of harmony - the group evolved into HERITAGE CROSSING. They sing "Family Style Gospel... With The Father's Touch".

Among the family there are 3 keyboard players, 4 guitarist, 4 bassist, mandolin players, dobro players, organists, drummers, and Zackery is a powerful harmonica player as well.

They have been described as sounding like the Hinsons with harmony, The McGruders' with their energy, and the Crabb family with their versatility. They are truly one of a kind!

Their heart is to minister to people in multiple venues through word and song. Whether a revival or a concert, they stick to strong lyrical styling with tight harmony that only comes from a family
