Karen Peck and New River Named in Top 5 of 2011 Singing News Fan Awards

Fan favorites Karen Peck & New River have been nominated in four categories in the Top 5 2011 Singing News Fan Awards.

The nominations include:
Trio
Favorite Female Singer (Karen Peck Gooch)
Horizon Individual (Jeff Hawes)
Soprano (Karen Peck Gooch).

Fan Award nominations are based on votes by Singing News Magazine subscribers. The awards will be handed out during a ceremony on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The night will also include the prestigious SGMA Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. The entire event is ticketed and open to the public.

The Singing News nominations landed on the heels of Karen Peck & New River releasing “On The Banks of The Promised Land” to radio stations world-wide. The brand new single can be found on the group’s forthcoming album, “Reach Out“, which releases July 12, 2011 and can be pre-ordered at their online store. It was produced by award-winning producer, Wayne Haun.
