Franklin, TN (Mansion Entertainment) May 5th, 2011 – The 2010 Singing News/Solid Gospel New Artist Search 1st Place Winner, Lonnie Weible, was recently in the Mansion Entertainment studios recording songs for their new project. Lonnie won first place in the New Artist Search with an original song submission and now he and his group Downpour have recorded ten brand new songs all written by the group. Mike Bowling will be a vocal guest and accompany Lonnie on one of those songs as they wrap up the recording phase of the project.
Lonnie Weible and Downpour are based out of Martinsville, IN and are comprised of group members Lonnie Weible (vocals, guitar), Joe Eggers (vocals, bass guitar), Julie Carpenter (vocals, piano), Tim Gosc (drums) and Marlin Brown (vocals, piano). The group continues to write and currently performs dates in churches and other venues. Lonnie has an amazing personal testimony regarding his path in life including his story of losing over 300 pounds!
