Easter News From Mercy's Well

From Mercy's Well newsletter of March 28, 2013:

The month of March is coming to an end, but not without one last Sunday to worship together. With our nation and our world in such a time of darkness, we recognize that now, more than ever, we desperately need the power of God in our lives. He is here, watching over us and still working out His plan, but how often do we acknowledge Him or ask for His help? Our prayer is that the focus of your life - at all times, but especially this week - would be Jesus Christ.

Jesus suffered and died for our sins, and we rejected Him on this Earth.
"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth." Isaiah 53:5-7

Peter reminds us about the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
" He was not left in Hades, and His flesh did not experience decay. God has resurrected this Jesus. We are all witnesses of this." Acts 2:31-32

Because of Christ's resurrection, we are VICTORIOUS through God's power!
"It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:34-35, 37-39

Since we have been raised with Christ, Paul urges us to live that way!
"If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth." Colossians 3:1-2

Have a blessed week, and worship the Lord with your whole being - for He alone is worthy!!!

In Christ,
Brad, Greg & Kyle
