Nashville, TN (February 28. 2014) Kelly Bowling has been chosen to play the part of ‘Nurse Kathy’ in a feature film titled ‘Virtuous’. The filming took place in the Atlanta, Georgia area in January of this year.
The official website of ‘Virtuous’ states that the film is “a faith-based film created to ignite women to live with non-negotiable convictions. Convictions of faith, beauty, family and integrity.”
Kelly Bowling stated “I am so excited for everyone to see this movie. The message it contains is inspiring and the story is moving. I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of a Christian movie with a positive message.”
According to the movie’s website, ‘Virtuous’ interweaves the stories of several different women involved and impacted in and through the trial of Simone Burner, a young college-aged Christian woman. The individual story of each woman examines the different challenges Christian women face in today’s culture, from Si herself, her mother, the lead detectives and police officers, judges, the prosecution and defense lawyers, new reporters, and hospital staff.
Nurse Kathy, Kelly Bowling’s character is described on the movie website as “a nurse whose abusive and adoptive past destroyed her self-image and her ability to connect with anyone, except for one lady, an elderly patient with a secretive past.”
Virtuous is to release on Mother’s Day and is available in a format for a Church viewing and for Women’s Conferences. This is just a VIRTUOUS Sneak Peek: https://vimeo.com/86566791

About The Bowlings
The group consists of Mike Bowling and his wife, Kelly, their daughter Hope and longtime friend Troy Peach. They bring you their stories and songs in a way that is reminiscent of days gone by. To watch them perform reminds us of a time when "all night singings" were the norm, and folks lined up early to visit with the singers and musicians. As in most things, musical styles come full circle. What is old is new, and what is new is old!! Musically, Mike, Kelly, Hope and Troy make us realize this. Somehow they have created a sound that is as refreshing as the sounds of the early 70s. Mike has often been referred to as the vocal stylist of the day; however, the completion is so obvious with Kelly, Hope and Troy by his side. History will note that they have been true to the excellence of their ability without diminishing or distancing the listener.

Riot Studios Starts Production on First Feature Film 'Believe Me'
First Feature for Young, Trendsetting Filmmakers,Creators of 'Beware of Christians'
RiotStudios.com
AUSTIN, Texas – Aug. 5, 2013 – Riot Studios—creators of the surprise hit documentary BEWARE OF CHRISTIANS—begins filming today in Austin on its first feature film: BELIEVE ME. Comedy, satire, heist movie . . BELIEVE ME poses a simple question: “Why believe someone just because they have a microphone?”
Featuring Alex Russell (CHRONICLE) and Happy Endings’ Zachary Knighton in a cast of rising stars, BELIEVE ME is the debut feature of Riot’s award-winning director Will Bakke.
“BELIEVE ME questions the power we give people just because they have a platform,” said Bakke, who also co-wrote the film. “We ask the question in a comedy about four college guys who see that people automatically follow authority, then these friends figure out how to use that for their own gain.”
In BELIEVE ME, Sam Atwell (Russell) stands on the stage as thousands of fans go wild. Smart, charismatic, handsome, he moves them with his message, and when he calls for donations to his charity, the money pours in.
And by the way, Sam doesn’t believe a word he’s saying.
Just months earlier he was a typical college senior focused on keg stands, hookups and graduating. But a surprise tuition bill threatens his dream of law school and leaves him thousands of dollars in the hole. Convincing his three roommates they can make a killing exploiting the gullible church crowd, they start a sham charity and begin campaigning across the country, raising funds for a cause as fake as their message.
But Sam's got girl problems. He cares about Callie, the tour manager, who actually believes what he’s saying. When Callie discovers where the money is going, it's Sam's moment of truth.
On the final night of the tour, before a packed auditorium but alone in the spotlight, it’s time for Sam Atwell to figure out what he really believes.
“BELIEVE ME is a parody on religious scandals,” said Co-Producer and Co-Writer Michael Allen. “It holds up a mirror for viewers to see themselves and their assumptions from a new perspective.”
“There’s a reason 84 percent of us believed in Santa Claus as children,” Bakke said. “It’s because parents told us he was real. The question isn’t why did we fall for it. It’s why do we keep accepting something as true just because someone says it is.”
Besides Russell and Knighton, BELIEVE ME features Johanna Braddy (EASY A), Miles Fisher (FINAL DESTINATION 5), Sinqua Walls (Teen Wolf) and Max Adler (Glee), with Christopher McDonald (Boardwalk Empire) as Ken.
With a 20-day production schedule in and around Austin, BELIEVE ME begins filming today and wraps Aug. 25. The film launches in theaters in 2014.
BELIEVE ME is produced by Alex Carroll and co-produced by Sandya Shardanand, Gary Cogill and Steve Markham, with John Rutland as director of photography and J.C. Cantu as casting director.
Riot Studios made headlines in 2012 with the unique content and distribution model of its second documentary BEWARE OF CHRISTIANS. The film followed Riot’s Bakke, Allen and Carroll around Europe as they gathered man-on-the-street interviews about Christianity and Christians—part college road comedy, part thought-provoking dialogue on how trying to follow Jesus in the 21st century might look. Bypassing typical film distribution, Riot pioneered a “name your own price” model on a nationwide tour of college campuses.

Riot Studios exists to tell stories that compel viewers to challenge their beliefs, weigh the alternatives and laugh while doing so. They aspire to make transparent and thoughtful art through film.

Rick Santorum Named CEO of EchoLight Studios
RICK SANTORUM, 2012 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE AND FORMER U.S. SENATOR,IS NEW CEO OF ECHOLIGHT STUDIOS
America's Fastest-Growing Faith & Family Film Company
EchoLight.com
DALLAS – June 24, 2013 – Rick Santorum, former U.S. senator and GOP presidential candidate, is now CEO of EchoLight Studios, the first movie company to produce, finance, market and distribute faith-based, family films across all releasing platforms. Santorum announced his new venture Saturday, June 22, on FNC’s “The Huckabee Show.”
EchoLight’s upcoming first theatrical, THE REDEMPTION OF HENRY MYERS, is slated for a fall 2013 release. Meanwhile, EchoLight’s second theatrical is in post-production, a film based on the inspiring story of Illinois basketball player Eric “Hoovey” Elliott, starring Patrick Warburton and Lauren Holly, and directed by SOUL SURFER’s Sean McNamara, to release in 2014.
“This is the right place and right time, and I’ve jumped in with both feet,” Santorum said, having spent the past year helping EchoLight develop and grow. “I often say that culture is upstream from politics, and I know entertainment also can be strength and light for people who want to be uplifted and reinforced in their values.”
Santorum has high expectations for blowing open a burgeoning entertainment category. “Dallas can become the Hollywood of the faith-and-family movie market. And the keys are great content and economic success,” he said, “using money from all over to build out the industry and distribute an authentic product truthful to the faith in people’s lives.”
EchoLight’s commitment to new filmmakers already has impressive numbers:
a $250,000 commitment to produce and distribute a new work by the winner of the Short Film category in the 2013 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival
a multi-year, multi-million agreement to produce films from Liberty University’s Cinematic Arts program with production wrapped on the first film from that effort
up to $1 million pledged to produce and distribute a new work from the Best Film winner in this year’s 168 Film Project.
EchoLight has a full pipeline of films with established directors and a growing cadre of “faith and family” stars as committed as the directors and producers.
“We’re in a position with potential to transform the industry,” Santorum said. “EchoLight is a wide door into movie excellence and to more of it--which is why we’re also helping to cultivate young filmmakers in the faith community, helping them develop cinema that, in many, many ways, can go further and do more.”

IT COULDN’T GET WORSE . . . COULD IT?

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. – June 24, 2013 – Principal photography has wrapped on MOMS’ NIGHT OUT, the hilarious family comedy produced by Kevin Downes to be distributed by AFFIRM Films and Provident Films. A film that celebrates real family life—where everything can go wrong and still turn out all right.
“We wanted to make a film that the whole family could enjoy,” said Downes, who also acts in the movie.
In the film, all Allyson and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and conversation . . . a long-needed moms’ night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for a few hours—what could go wrong? MOMS’ NIGHT OUT is an endearing, true-to-life family comedy.
“I feel like everything in the script happened at my home last week,” said Jon Erwin, who co-wrote MOMS’ NIGHT OUT with Andrea Nasfell and co-directed with his brother Andrew. The Erwin Brothers have four toddlers between them. “It’s a light-hearted look at the joys and challenges moms and dads face today, giving all the time kids need while still finding time for each other.”
Coming to theaters in 2014, MOMS’ NIGHT OUT chronicles one night out gone awry, as three harried moms, their husbands, a sister-in-law with a misplaced baby, a tattoo parlor owner, a motorcycle gang and one bewildered cabbie learn to embrace the beautiful mess called parenting.
“We grew up watching great family comedies,” said Andrew Erwin. “We felt it was time to bring the genre of clean family comedy back to the big screen, and we brought a powerful comedic cast with us to do it.”
MOMS’ NIGHT OUT also loops in a little wholesome passion between a wife and her husband, played by Grey’s Anatomy’s Sarah Drew as Allyson and Sean Astin as Sean.
"I love that the film is not just a comedy but also a love story between Allyson and Sean,” Drew said.
MOMS’ NIGHT OUT spotlights the unfulfilled expectations and serial self-doubts many moms feel . . . then reassures us that the key is raising kids in a loving home.
“I’m excited to be a part of the group of women in a comedy that is reality for families everywhere,” said Everybody Loves Raymond and The Middle star, two-time Emmy winner and mom of four Patricia Heaton from the MNO set. “I’ve had so many people come up to me over the years and say, ‘Your show got us through a very difficult time in our family and raised our spirits.’ I think sometimes in a family the only way to diffuse a tense situation is to make a joke or mock yourself or the situation. At some point you just have to laugh about it. That’s what we hope will happen with MOMS’ NIGHT OUT.”
Heaton is an executive producer on the film along with her husband, David Hunt, who joins her onscreen as well, playing a local cabbie caught up in the fun.
“Any dad will tell you that love and laughter often lift families over the everyday challenges of life,” Hunt said. “And with MOMS’ NIGHT OUT the entire family—moms, dads and kids—will laugh together.”
MOMS’ NIGHT OUT features Sarah Drew (Grey’s Anatomy), Sean Astin (THE LORD OF THE RINGS), Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond, The Middle), Alex Kendrick (COURAGEOUS), Robert Amaya (COURAGEOUS), Andrea Logan White (REVELATION ROAD) and Kevin Downes (COURAGEOUS). Platinum-selling country recording artist Trace Adkins (THE LINCOLN LAWYER) is “Bones,” a philosophical tattoo artist with a checkered past and a load of wisdom. (For an expanded cast list, see MOMS’ NIGHT OUT Media Fact Sheet.)
This anticipated second feature film from Andrew and Jon Erwin follows on the buzz created by their 2012 hit OCTOBER BABY that surprised the film industry with a No. 8 box office debut against big-budget competition and drew page 1-A coverage in The New York Times.

Gripping, entertaining and ultimately redemptive, NOT TODAY helps audiences put a human face on the worldwide problem of modern slavery and exploitation.

Most of these victims are girls like me, and I can’t imagine what life would be like in that place.”
Produced by Friends Media, NOT TODAY features rising star Cody Longo (Hollywood Heights, Fame, Make It or Break It) as Caden, a spoiled SoCal rich kid partying in India. On mean city streets, he’s oblivious to the so-called “untouchables” until a young girl sold into slavery draws him into the world of India’s outcast Dalits. In the struggle to find her, Caden finds himself and his faith re-energized. Also featured in NOT TODAY: John Schneider (OCTOBER BABY, Smallville, The Dukes of Hazzard), Shari Rigby (OCTOBER BABY, The Bold and the Beautiful) and Cassie Scerbo (Make It or Break It, Hot in Cleveland).
With a 2013 Grammy nomination for her hit CD Where I Find You, Jobe recently recorded the song What Love Can Do, produced by multiple Dove Award winner and Grammy nominee Ed Cash. The song and accompanying video offer Jobe’s personal support for NOT TODAY. No newcomer to the fight against human trafficking, Jobe is performing now with Chris Tomlin’s Burning Light’s Tour, which also features Louie Giglio, whose 2013 Passion conference focused on the subject as well.

Whether it's creating a firewall against a caste system that does not recognize the image of God in every human being or lifting a clarion call against human trafficking, NOT TODAY is more than a movie. NOT TODAY stands as a clarion call to do justice in the name of Jesus."
Global partners like NHCLC advance the film’s important message through their worldwide networks of supporters. Additional NOT TODAY partners include:

‘THE POTENTIAL INSIDE’—TIMELY FAITH FILM STORY IS SET IN COMPETITIVE CYCLING—DEBUTS JAN. 15
As Lance Armstrong Appears on Oprah, a New Faith Film Set in Cycling, is about Winning at All Costs
EchoLight.com/thepotentialinside
DVD Launch Jan. 15, 2013
THE POTENTIAL INSIDE, set in the hyper-competitive world of professional mountain bike racing, is the story of a cyclist who wins races and nearly loses everything else.
Director Scotty Curlee came to the US as a high-level competitive bike racer. Now he’s a film director, actor, producer and teacher—and founder of Red Cloud Productions, which produced THE POTENTIAL INSIDE, distributed by EchoLight Studios.
THE POTENTIAL INSIDE goes into the world of competitive cycling to ask, “What’s left?” when winning is everything.
SYNOPSIS
Pro cyclist Chris Carmik is no stranger to victory. He has the trophies and fame to prove it. He won’t settle for anything below best, even if chasing personal glory means neglecting his wife and daughter. Focused on his career instead of his family and faith, Chris’s single worry is his next win—and then comes a profound loss.
When tragedy takes the life of his young daughter, Chris’s own life just as suddenly changes. After years of climbing rugged trails, he’s at rock bottom. Estranged from his grieving wife and consumed with guilt, he struggles with his selfish past. Then through a fellow cyclist, Chris meets Christ; through Christ he finds forgiveness, a chance to serve others, and new resolve to rebuild his life and family.
Scotty Curlee, writer, director and star of THE POTENTIAL INSIDE came to his own crisis when a highly successful career in the pharmaceutical industry failed to fulfill. Wanting a life that affected others, Scotty turned to filmmaking. And though lacking experience, he had no shortage of drive. (Scotty had been a top-level competitive cyclist himself)—and a chance” encounter with a Hollywood stalwart opened the door for behind-the-camera work. In THE POTENTIAL INSIDE, Scotty is finding his own potential and living a story worth telling.

“God created each of us for a purpose, and he wants us to live our life and live it more abundantly,” said Curlee, who also wrote and stars in the film. “THE POTENTIAL INSIDE is about discovering that your true life’s potential comes through Christ and service to others.”
An Official Selection of Italy’s International Festival of Cinema and Religion and the Transforming Stories International Film Festival in South Africa, THE POTENTIAL INSIDE takes audiences on a physical and emotional thrill ride. It features edge-of-your-seat racing scenes alongside the touching story of a man whose “win at all costs” attitude costs him more than he bargained for.

Randall Franks stars with all-star cast in new film “Lukewarm”
Picture (L-R) Lukewarm Cast: Jeremy Jones,Thomas Makowski & Randall Franks
Actor/entertainer Randall Franks, “Officer Randy Goode” from TV’s “In the Heat of the Night,” stars with fellow CBS alumnus John Schneider in the new film “Lukewarm” releasing to DVD and On Demand Nov. 13.
Franks said he looks forward to the release of his fourth film in a year.
“This is an engaging story of a young couple - Luke and Jesse finding their way in a world pulling them in all different directions except towards one another,” he said. “This is a tremendous cast who enveloped themselves in the roles to bring director Thomas Makowski's vision to life. I am pleased to be included in a project with John. I think he does wonderful work.”
Franks portrays John Keebley who is both a pastor and surrogate father to the main character Luke Rogers, portrayed by actor Jeremy Jones, in his first lead role.
“Jeremy brought so much to his role and I think that viewers will be drawn to performances by he and Nicole Gale Anderson, who plays his girlfriend Jesse, as they struggle to define their relationship and the role God should play in their lives,” he said.
According to Franks, Luke Rogers became estranged from his father Bill (Schneider) as a youth and as a young adult, Luke faces challenges offered from characters portrayed by “October Baby” actor Jason Burkey, and former “Blossom” cast member Jenna von Oÿ.
“One of the most amazing aspects of doing this film was working opposite one of the most talented veteran actors in the business - Bill Cobbs. He portrays ‘Brother Thomas’,” Franks said. “He and I throw out the lifelines in the film praying that the other characters will grab a hold.”
The film is from Slingshot Pictures, All Entertainment and Image Entertainment.
Franks has co-starred or starred in fourteen films with superstars including Dolly Parton, Christian Slater, William Hurt and Stella Parton. Among his recent films are the family drama “Decision” in which he starred with Natalie Grant and Billy Dean, and a musical cameo in “The Solomon Bunch,” a children’s adventure.
The International Bluegrass Music Museum Legend’s musical stylings have been heard in 150 countries and by more than 25 million Americans. His musical career boasts 17 album releases, 17 singles, and over 200 recordings with various artists from various genres. The award-winning fiddler’s best selling release, "Handshakes and Smiles" was a top twenty Christian music seller. Many of his albums are among the top 30-bluegrass recordings of their release year.
In addition to his solo career that includes 13 years of guest starring for the Grand Ole Opry ®, Franks is a former member of Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys, Jim and Jesse's Virginia Boys and has performed with Jeff and Sheri Easter, the Lewis Family, the Marksmen Quartet, the Watkins Family, Elaine and Shorty, “Doc” Tommy Scott’s Last Real Old Time Medicine Show and Doodle and the Golden River Grass.
Franks latest book is “A Mountain Pearl: Appalachian Reminiscing and Recipes” from Peach Picked Publishing and his latest musical DVD “A Mountain Pearl: Concert of Celebration” is from shareamericafoundation.org.

DVD Launch Nov. 6, 2012
A fun film for the whole family that entertains and encourages
SYNOPSIS
In 3 DAY TEST, Martin Taylor has totally lost touch with his family. He has no clue who his teenage daughter’s friends are, why his son only communicates with an electronic sign outside his bedroom door, or why his youngest child only watches faith TV. Convinced the family needs to reconnect, Martin surprises the wife and kids with a little experiment—he locks them in their own home for three days with no power, no heat, no running water and absolutely no contact with the world outside! The sudden holiday “staycation” isn’t what the Taylors had in mind for the weekend, but they’ll have to team up to prove they can survive Dad’s wacky mission. With a heartfelt message and some persistence, one little member of the family helps put their priorities back in the pews, because they’ll need all the faith they have to get through this!
Corbin Bernsen Carves a New Film Industry Niche—As with his most recent film, 3 DAY TEST, Corbin Bernsen partners with local communities, often eager to have their cities featured, to raise production budgets and provide shooting locations. 3 DAY TEST marked a return to Akron, Ohio, as Bernsen previously filmed 25 HILL there, centered on the All-American Soap Box Derby, which is based in that community.
Casting Connections—Corbin Bernsen wrote the 3 DAY TEST almost 20 years ago as a vehicle for himself. Now, as production neared, he looked for a younger actor to play harried dad, Martin Taylor. He found a winner with George Newbern, well known as the son-in-law to be in FATHER OF THE BRIDE. Kevin Crowley, who plays Newbern’s character’s survivalist brother, is Newbern’s longtime friend and performed with Bernsen in the hit comedy MAJOR LEAGUE. Taylor Spreitler, who plays Newbern’s teenage daughter, in Bernsen’s words, will be “a force to reckon with” in the industry.

Engaging, Inspiring 'The Perfect Gift'--Perfect DVD for Christmas Season; Debuts Nov. 6
FILMMAKER JEFFERSON MOORE’S ‘THE PERFECT GIFT’
IS A PERFECT DVD FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Funny, Uplifting Family Film Offers a God’s-Eye View
on the ‘Christmas vs. Holiday’ Debate
DALLAS – Oct. 17, 2012 – From actor and filmmaker Jefferson Moore—and featuring exciting young actress Christina Fougnie—comes an early Christmas delivery for the whole family—THE PERFECT GIFT, available on DVD Nov. 6.
What if your birthday fell on Christmas and you decided that this year would be a celebration about you alone? Welcome to THE PERFECT GIFT, where one young girl learns the real meaning of Christmas from a mysterious wanderer who seems to know a lot about it.
“In addition to being a funny, uplifting film, THE PERFECT GIFT is timely and timeless,” said Moore, who wrote, directed and stars in the movie. “It lands in the middle of the ‘holiday’ versus ‘Christmas’ debate, and then it clearly communicates the eternal message of hope that Christmas is truly all about.”
THE PERFECT GIFT poses a challenging question: What if the world threw you a birthday party . . . but you weren’t invited? Stacy is an overworked single mom whose spoiled daughter, Maxine, hates having a birthday that falls on Dec. 25. Tired of sharing her special day with the rest of the world, Max refuses to acknowledge the true significance of the holiday. But all that changes when she’s forced to spend afternoons at the local church. It’s there she meets Jess, a mysterious drifter who’s helping construct a nativity scene. Jess knows everything there is to know about the true meaning of Christmas, and if Max pays attention, she might learn an important lesson about faith, tradition and the real reason for the season.
Jefferson Moore is well-known as an actor, writer and director for The Perfect Stranger TV film series and films such as CLANCY, also starring Fougnie, and 1 MESSAGE.
Kelly’s Filmworks produced THE PERFECT GIFT with distribution by EchoLight Studios. DVDs can be pre-ordered now with deliveries and immediate sales starting Nov. 6.

Clancy' DVD Debuts Oct. 2--A Child's Faith Changes Lives
‘CLANCY’ DVD DEBUTS OCT. 2; UPLIFTING STORY OF A CHILD’S FAITH CHANGING LIVES
From Veteran Filmmaker Jefferson Moore
EchoLight.com/clancy
DALLAS – Sept. 24, 2012 – From veteran filmmaker Jefferson Moore comes CLANCY, an inspiring story of a child’s faith changing lives in the midst of harsh, unchanging circumstances.
“CLANCY shows the impact faith can have as it cuts across all our differences,” said Moore, who wrote, directed and stars in the film. “Clancy is a little girl whose grandmother pours love and faith into her. Despite terrible circumstances—an abusive, addicted mother—that faith not only stays alive in Clancy, it helps bring a spiritually dead, homeless war veteran back to life.”
The title character of CLANCY (Christina Dawn Fougnie—1 MESSAGE, THE PERFECT GIFT) is a little girl with a big heart. Just 11 years old, she must take to the streets, dodging social workers and hoping to return to her mother once her home life improves. She latches on to Nick, a homeless war veteran who wants little to do with life—much less a runaway who won’t leave him alone. When Nick is forced to skip town, a corrupt official’s plan escalates to a manhunt—placing Nick and Clancy in life-threatening danger. As they form an unlikely bond in the face of adversity, Clancy’s relentless faith affects Nick in ways he never expected—and ultimately becomes his saving grace.
Produced by Kelly’s Filmworks, CLANCY is distributed by EchoLight Distribution. It can be pre-ordered now with deliveries and immediate sales starting Oct. 2. CLANCY is available through such leading online and retail providers as Amazon.com, LifeWay Christian Stores and Family Christian Stores, among many others.
"Jefferson Moore’s films often portray the gritty realism of truly challenging circumstances and show how faith can take us through even the darkest times,” EchoLight Chief Global Strategist Christopher Morrow said. “EchoLight is proud to bring his work to new audiences.”

NOVEL OF ANTICIPATED FILM ‘UNCONDITIONAL’ AVAILABLE NOW
Gripping Faith-Based Story of God’s Love Shining in Dark Times
Inspired by True Events; Also Inspired Children’s Book—‘Firebird’
BHPublishingGroup.com/Unconditional
NASHVILLE – Sept. 12, 2012 – As the anticipated film UNCONDTIONAL hits theaters this month, the novel it inspired debuted Sept. 1 going more deeply into the riveting story—inspired by true events—of one woman finding faith, joy and meaning after a seemingly senseless, devastating loss.
“The novelization of Unconditional will touch the heart of every reader,” said Acquisitions Editor Julie Gwinn with B&H Publishing Group, the book’s publisher. “This story helps us all see that even in life’s toughest storms, above the clouds the sun is still shining.”
From award-winning author Eva Marie Everson, Unconditional is inspired by the true story of Joseph “Papa Joe” Bradford—an African-American man who went from standout student to prison inmate where he had to fight to stay alive. A computer-hacking crime sent Bradford to jail, and once out he and his wife Denise dedicated their lives to helping under-resourced young people, particularly in Nashville. They established and operate the Elijah’s Heart ministry.
In the book, Samantha Crawford is a celebrated children’s author whose beloved husband is killed in a senseless act of violence. Three years later, still grief-stricken, Samantha plans to take her life, but at the last minute someone needs her help and prevents the act. Reuniting with her childhood friend, “Papa Joe,” she finds her will to live returning as she witnesses his selfless dedication to Nashville’s throwaway kids. And, in the dismal housing projects, she might just find the truth behind her husband’s killing.
Like characters in the story, the film and book will help the lives of needy children through raised awareness and by many ministry partnerships nationwide. A children’s book, Firebird, which figures prominently in the film, also debuted Sept. 1 from B&H Publishing and echoes the theme that God’s love shines through people and circumstances no matter how dark things seem. Similarly, another B&H book—a study guide featuring clips from the film—offers a four-week, biblically based study designed to help participants identify and overcome their fears and learn to help those in need.
Unconditional is available now.
