10 year old Jacob Vaughan Begins Ministry Career Singing National Anthem At ACC Baseball Tournament
(Madison,NC) 10 year old Jacob Vaughan, son of Pastor James and Jennifer Vaughan has been contacted to sing the National Anthem for The Atlantic Coast Conference baseball tournament to be held in Greensboro, NC at New Bridge Bank Park on Saturday May 29, 2010.
Jacob’s father, James has been in the Southern Gospel Music Industry for many years beginning in college as a DJ for WTTX radio in Appomattox, VA which is now JOY-FM as well as a production assistant for Paul Heil at The Gospel Greats program.
Jacob began singing at the age of 4 and began singing in talent competitions for the last few years. Jason Clark of the Nelons helped Jacob tremendously last year when he sent “I Choose To Live” a song that Autumn is now singing with the Nelons. Jacob says, “I love the song and the message and I am glad that Jason sent it to us for me to sing.”
Although, Jacob has not released a project at this present time, plans are in place to record something because of the fan base that he is drawing from his National Anthem performances across the Piedmont.
“I am so excited for Jacob, for him it is more than just the music but the lyric and I see him daily trying his best to live out every lyric he sings,” says Jacob’s dad.
